Ladies, I'm sorry I didn't have time to call my friend today. Busy cleaning and cooking for company tomorrow. I had to have mostly everything ready by today, cuz first thing in the morning my DD has a volleyball tournament starting at 7:30am!

So I won't be around much tomorrow.

If your butt looks smaller when you're carrying a bigger bag, will a big tiara do the same for the rest of your body?

The Disney Store here has little tiara comb/clips that go on the top of your head for $4.50. i think I may get one of these because I can just give it to Maddie after the trip.

You 100% didin't take my thunder or anything. I was just being my typical smarta** self and bemoaning that I had to sell the stupid things. My DD's troop wants to some kind of overnight thing at SeaWOrld. Maybe if they were doing DL I would be less bitter!!

Cookies, Rah!!! I wish I thought to bring mine to the candy buffet!!!!

Actually, cookie pick up for our district is the weekend we're gone for the ladies trip, so I won't be bringing thin mints. It was said somewhat tonge in cheek, but then it kinda sounded good! If you get your cookies beforehand, definitely bring them! And, the lemon challet cremes would be good with the candies, too, since you can't have chocolate.

Not to make it worse for you Girl Scout Moms--but when I lived in Salt Lake City my entire office wanted cookies so bad--and nobody knew any GS's--seriously--it was so bad we ended up wasting time at work one day and finding the number for the National Office--calling there--they put us in touch with the local council office, and we finally got a couple of little girls in uniforms (with sashes and everything!) to come to our office and sell us cookies! They made a TON of sales that day!

This example is the reason I don't mind selling cookies. And, why when the boys were in boyscouts in Minnesota that I didn't mind selling wreaths. People looked for them, waited for them, and genuinely liked helping out.
Steph and Amy, something I did that seems to be working out well is sent my family and friends who live too far away to deliver cookies to is that I sent an email detailing Operation Thin Mint and then told them that those donations count towards Zoe's cookie sales, as well. That way, they just send us a check and the cookies go to the troops. I sent that email out this morning and I've already gotten orders for 8.

Hanging my head in shame, my first concert was Prince with Sheila E, Purple Rain concert. And, I started crying, as one of the songs really reminded me of my boyfriend that I had just had to leave back in MN.

I've also seen Neil Diamond, Billy Joel, U2, Steve Miller Band, the Wiggles, Barbara Streisand with Il Divo, Elton John....I think I was born during the wrong decade.


Oh, and before anyone says anything about multi-quotes, I've read four pages and just respond as I feel, it's not my fault no one else is posting!

That's okay Mel. Sounds like you're really busy. If there's one thing that us moms of special needs kids knows, it's patience.

I don't even know how to quote, let alone multi-quote.

I've just been too lazy to read how to do it.

I would have loved to see Prince. He was really a phe-nom in his time (pretty much all of the 80's to early 90's). And I've seen several of the ones you mentioned, except the Wiggles. I've barely heard of them, obviously my only child was a teen when they came out. And you are a decade younger than me - HA! It's all good.

I think we should all pick whatever tiara we want and it will be fun to see all the different kinds!
