Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

I need to get online more! I miss out on so much!

Alas, I have some bummy news. My mom has decided to turn her visit into a mini-vacation with me into a mini family reunion by flying my brother and his girlfriend out- it's been 4 years since I've seen him! I should have never moved to the opposite coast!

Since they are only here for 5 days, I really want to be able to spend as much time with them as I can. And of course they are flying in on Wednesday night- right before the Girls weekend!

My wife and I are signed up for the VIP tour, and I wanted to see if there was anyone going that would want to take our spaces so I can spend more time with my family? If not, don't worry! we'll still go ahead and go- I don't want to put everyone else out and have them spend more money! I just want to try to free up time where I can!

I agree. It's better to be a leader instead than a follower. Rather than follow some of his friends down a path of teenage naughtiness, perhaps he'll lead them down a path of proud accomplishment.

While I'm proud of the fact that he's exerting his leadership skills, I don't think that the teachers are particularly excited by the fact that he's getting the other kids to slide face first rather than on their butts. I'm just worried about where he's leading his friends... No one wants to be the parent of the kid who decides that it's a good idea to jump off the cliff!

Heather, sorry I missed your earlier post, the one Melody was responding to.

I'm not sure if that's still part of the plan or not. Decorating tees might be a bit much with all the eating, drinking, tote bags, candy bag filling, and what not going on. But that's just my two cents.

We had also talked about making posters to decorate our hotel doors with and I'm not sure that's still going to happen or not. I mean, we can still put stuff up, but I'm not sure if we should just plan to bring it premade or make them there.

I was still planning to bring the lime green mickey heads for the doors (like I did last year, for those who had them...anyone have a picture?) and markers for everyone to put their "screen names" on. I wasn't planning on bringing anything else to decorate them with, but I can if people want me to.
I don't remember doing any decorating of tshirts being mentioned. I think that might be a bit of a challenge during the pizza party.

Hmmm, I think everyone that wanted to do it, was signed up. I could be wrong though, so we'll see if anyone chimes in.

The idea was tossed around of adding decorations to the tees, but like I said, I think that's a bit much to do.
I don't think you should have to bring anymore for the doors other then the Mickey heads. That's already awfully nice of you.

I've got to talk to my roomies and see if they want some kind of a poster for our door in addition to the Mickey head. But we'll bring it premade. There just won't be time for much else during the meet and greet.

I'm going through the intinerary and figuring out what I want to do during the trip. And I started wondering who's going to have an Early Entry to use? I was looking at the schedule and those of us going to the breakfast on Saturday won't be able to use it then, so who's going on Sunday?

Also I missed Aladdin last year and I am going to go this year. Anyone else planning on going?

Well, that's now a dilemma for me. On Saturday I have Storyteller's and on Sunday is the Segway Tour. When am I going to use my MM??

Sorry about that Audra. I know how much you were looking forward to going. I have not cashed your check yet, and now I will give it a few days to see if anyone else is interested. I will make a seperate post with all details about it so that the new people that have joined can see what it is about.

The VIP tour is going to make a reservation for for the preferred seating at the Friday Night 5:45 showing. I will take a tally of the VIP'ers to see who all wants to go, and if we have extra spots, anyone is welcome to join in.
