It's been raining here for 3 days. I love it!

Our little one was up all night screaming unless I held him. He's never done that before and he's almost one! I guess I've been blessed, but I don't feel like it this morning.

I'm posting this and then heading out the door for a couple hours. Hopefully, the feedback will be positive.

Here's what my dh has come up with:

I put one in the sleeve on my pink lanyard from last year and it looks really nice. We still have to find the link from the place we ordered the lanyards from last time, so we can all match.

Well my feedback is EXTREMELY POSITIVE!!!!! I love it, and please go give your DH a big hug from all of us.

I'm here still I feel like i'm a big downer to you all. I desperatly am wanting to get excited, motivated, and pumped up, but just feel the life has been sucked out, and replaced by blackness. Sorry I don't mean to be that girl everyone wants to avoid. I got news yesterday from my family they found a new clot in his arm this time. OMG I just want to scream just to release all this it's just to much. I pm Beth my cell I get free txt, so if anyone needs to vent feel free to blow my phone up lord knows yall have listened to me. Atleast you ladies now have my cell so we can find each other. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Don't let it overwhelm you. Remember this is all fun stuff. Make a to do list. Add fun Disney stickers to it and check things off when they are done. One thing at a time. I know you have two trips to plan, but we still have over a month before this one. It doesn't all have to be done this weekend.

Oh, and we couldn't renew our passes either so I feel you pain. But you'll go back, and so will I. We may not know an exact date, but we will.

There is a candy made here at Idaho Candy Company. It is called a Spud Bar. They are really good but I am not sure how to bring them down since I am only doing a carry-on. I will have to get that figured out.

I just ordered my zazzle shirt. I was going to wait, but I didn't want to not have the shirt in time for the trip. I got a women's classic t-shirt in 2x. I worry about my chesticles being stuffed into the tee.

I may have to borrow some creative stretching techniques from some of the ladies from last year if it is too tight.

I am only a sophomore. One more semester until I am a junior. I have not done student teaching yet. I think that starts at the end of my junior year...not 100% positive. Currently, I work as a teaching assistant in a combo 5th/6th class and love it! I have not taken the Praxis, but I have heard from teachers that it is not as hard as the instructors would like me to think it is.

Before I got married, I was in school for Radiology. I did not finish. When I decided about a year or so ago to go back to school, I had to take a bunch of different core classes because I changed my major. So, it has taken me a bit longer than it should have. But I am starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel now that I am getting to the upper division courses. I work for a teacher who also teaches at Northwest Nazarene University in the master's program for special education. She has been a wealth of information.

From my experience working in a classroom all day...with many different kids (3 are autistic, one is aspergers, and one has tourette's) you just learn as you go how to teach to them and what style to teach. Some kids need more one on one and some kids are very independent. When you are in your teacher ed. courses you will learn about different teaching models and concepts and when to utilize them.

I encourage you to go for it and if you are able to try and find a part-time position in the school district or volunteer (if you don't already).

If YOU'RE getting a 2x I can't imagine what size I'm going to get! sigh. I didn't have the issues some ladies had with the martini shirt last year because my "chesticles" are not that well endowed.

I spent this morning re-organizing the garage this morning. Just pushing around the same crap--but at least I can park in my garage. I also found the stapler and other office supplies that have been missing since I moved back from Utah--in 1998.

So, here's a question for the ladies that still have their lanyards from last year. Do you all just want to reuse the plastic sleeve as well? Mine is still in tact and strong, but I know that Ellen's ripped pretty quickly.

So what I need from everyone is this:

PM me with the following information:

(a) You just need a nametag card (to put inside your existing plastic sleeve);

(b) You need a nametag card & new plastic sleeve; or

(c) You need a pink lanyard, nametag and plastic sleeve.

You also need to make sure I have the correct spelling of your real name and I will use the screen name here on the Dis (which will have caps based on how I see it here on my screen)

Those of you who are new and need a full lanyard, the charge will be $3.00 (that's what I charged last year). I'm not sure how much just a plastic sleeve will be yet. Dan is still looking at those. I'll just collect payment when I deliver the lanyards on Thursday night at the Pizza Party.

I love being a nurse, but all this talk about teaching has me thinking about my second career choice. My mother was a 3rd grade teacher, and I always wanted to be one. I often wonder if I would like teaching more. I'd love to do school nursing, but when we move to WV, RN's have office jobs, and the LPN's are in the schools with the kids. I don't think I'd like that. I have a friend who moved to Bueno Aires, and is teaching health with her nursing license, she loves it! Maybe I need to move to South America instead of WV!

Guess what I've been doing??? PACKING!!!! ARRGGGGHHH!!! I can't wait until I'm done. I'm sooo tired. DS appears to be ok, he had to nap with me...we had a good two hour nap. I'm thinking he's just having bad seperation anxiety right now. I've even broke out the sling to keep him with me some while packing...now that's a sight! Older DS has always been independent (almost too much...he doesn't even want to talk to me!), so this whole needing me around thing is new. I hope he sleeps better tonight. He's been in a crib in our room, and next week he's going to have his own room. DH and I have been looking forward to having our room to ourselves soon. I'm not sure that's going to happen now. We will see.

Your poor little guy. DD did that at around the same age. She is 4 and she is starting that up again. She tells me that she gets scared when she doesn't see me. It is kinda sad.
