Good Morning!

Beth, I'm so glad your appointment went fast and ok. I hope you're 100% soon.

I've also been missing Kelly. I know she had a lot going on and was feeling dsicouraged. I hope she's keeping her chin up. :wave2:

It sounds the folks on the mini meet had a great time this weekend. I'm so totally jealous. ::yes::

I was just thinking that Stacie and Callie are going to think I have the plaque. Every morning, I wake up hacking and coughing. I just get so congested overnight.

I have enjoyed reading the PTR, and need to add my story to it. How fun, and I'm enjoying seeing the faces of those I haven't seen before.

Talk with you all later.

Hi guys. Thanks for asking about me!! :) I just wanted to say that I've had a lot of stress in my life in the past and have always been able to manage it but this past week it just finally got to me and I kind of couldn't take it anymore so I had to take a break from everyone and everything.

I just wanted to say that I AM usually a really fun person and I love Disney more than anything. This is the one thing that I love more than anything else (well except my kids of course LOL) and that is why I come to these boards so much. It is an escape from reality and all the other crap that invades my life. I didn't mean to bring all that crap to the boards and I didn't want to be such a downer so I just felt that it was better if I stopped posting for awhile because I really didn't want you guys to think I was a giant pain in the butt and didn't want you to not want to be around me. Unfortunately you guys had to meet me at one of THE lowest points in my life and I should have left all that stuff off the boards but unfortunately one of the ways I deal is by talking it out. But I realized that by doing that to people I have never met was probably going to scare them away.

So anyway I am trying to find people to talk to (my pastor and a therapist) so I don't have to bring that crap on the boards. But in the meantime I haven't been posting.

I AM still hoping to go on the trip and I really appreciate you guys thinking of me. I think of you all as friends and I really want to meet you all and I am REALLY looking forward to this trip and getting away! You have NO idea how much I NEED this! And I promise I will be fun and NOT spoil it by talking about any junk!

I will try from now on to just come on and talk about the trip and fun stuff and not bring my junk to the thread.

Anyway thanks for caring. It means a lot! :)

I look forward to seeing you on the trip!pixiedust:

Hi everyone--I see that Stacie checked in so she apparently made it home safe and sound.

We had (well, at least I had!) a really good time today. The weather was beautiful--though maybe a little warm--and the crowds weren't too bad while I was there. We got there pretty much at 8 a.m. (I got a little stuck in Mickey & Friends, so it was probably 8:15) but by the time I had gotten through the gate Stacerita was waiting for me and Stacielee had already been to City Hall and gotten her birthday gift card! They wanted Space Mountain fastpasses, so while they got those, Stacerita and I went back into City Hall so I could get a GAC pass for stairs. I wasn't renting a scooter today--I try to only do that for multiple day trips.

We then met up with Stacielee, her daughter, Wendy and Melody at Buzz and went for a ride. (Wendy totally snookered me--"are you very good?" she innocently asked. "No" I replied. "Oh, then I'll ride with you." And then off course she hit a couple of big targets and got a MUCH better score than me!!!!)

Then most went on Star Tours while Stacerita and I "walked through" and took the chicken exit. (I do ride this, but last time I got a little woozy and just wasn't in the mood.) Then they went on the Matterhorn and Space Mountain. They were worried that I wasn't riding rides--I tried to tell them that I just enjoy being at DL with friends! Next we went on Pirates--5 minutes wait. then on Winnie the Pooh. By then it was 11 a.m. or so and we were hungry so we went to Riverbelle Terrace for breakfast (yummy). Except for Melody who had a Dole Whip instead!

We next walked back along Big Thunder Trail so they could get fastpasses and into Fantasyland and did the Sleeping Beauty walkthrough. (Slowly.) When we came out the Evil Queen from Snow White was outside and Stacielee and Wendy took a pic together (the birthday girls!). Next we went to check out Pixie Hollow but it was an hour wait so we decided to wait until the Girls' Trip (and go early).

Then we jumped on the train at Tomorrowland and rode all the way around once and then to Main Street again. Got off and went over to DCA. We were going to get fastpasses for Soarin, but the return time was almost 4 p.m. Melody did get one for her and her hubby (using my pass) because I decided at that point I was tired and my feet were hurting. :crazy2: So I left around 1:30 or so. don't have a report past that, but Stacielee and her daughter aren't back yet. Wendy was driving home tonight to NoCal--hope she's left already!

Beth I'm glad you're feeling better. I've subscribed to the pre-trip report but haven't read it yet!

Wow, sounds like you all had an action-packed time at DL! Thanks for sharing..now where are the pics?:rotfl:

I'm so hungry!!!!! I hate this. How do people on Survivor do it?? :lmao:

It doesn't help that my inlaws are in town and keep bringing food over. My MIL took Ruben to Costco today and she bought us over $200 worth of food for the house. So I was putting it all away and wanting to eat it all. Then she bought a pie from Marie Calendars.

Oh! And get this, last night they went to a restaurant at one of the casinos and bought these eclairs that look heavenly. They are a foot long and $11 each! She got two of them for the kids to share. OMG, I wanted to try it so bad, but it's not worth hurting my mouth over.

Tonight they are staying at the Wynn and I am so jealous. I want to be out eating, partying on the Strip and having fun.

I would have eaten the eclair ....:hyper:...and took an extra painkiller.;)

Well, I need to get my kids in bed. Glad there is no school tomorrow. Then Ruben and I are going to watch Pineapple Express. See Kelly, we need you here since you are the movie queen! I have no clue what it's even about.

Oh well. Later ladies! (I like Callie's "Later taters" better. haha)

Pineapple Express is my DH's favorite movie at the moment. He likes all those Seth Rogen movies. He LOVES Superbad. I cannot believe how raunchy that movie is.

I made it home! I'm exhausted, but alive. :cheer2:

Great pic! I have never seen my score get higher that 900.:sad2: My 4 year old scored higher than me on our last trip.:rotfl2:

Has anyone here ever stayed at the Hojo solo? Is that walk "safe" all alone? I'm a little worried about that......

At night, I think it would be not safe.

There should be other people around. Harbor is pretty busy with tourists. Plus, why would you be alone? You will be with on a big group trip!

Pineapple Express is about a stoner & his dealer running from the cops.
I see that. LOL Weird. I fell asleep. :rotfl:

Hey Wendy! Alive is good. :thumbsup2 Glad to hear you had fun. Cool Buzz pic. Cheryl told us how she had to let you win so you wouldn't be bummed out. :p

Why are you walking alone??? You don't want to walk with me?
Seriously, you won't have to walk alone. And even if for some reason none of the ladies are around to walk with you, there are always families and groups making that walk.
Last June I met up with a few of the ladies at DCA and I walked back to the HoJo by myself (Ruben was in the room with the kids). It was around 10:30 at night and there were lots of people. I didn't feel scared at all. Just make sure to walk on the side with all the hotels and restaurants.

I was just thinking that Stacie and Callie are going to think I have the plaque. Every morning, I wake up hacking and coughing. I just get so congested overnight.
I'm the same way! I get all stuffy over night, but once I shower and get going, I'm fine.

Thanks for checking in Kelly! :grouphug: Don't worry about it. We all go through stuff now and then. I'm sure that no one thinks you aren't fun to be around. I'm glad you are still coming and I know we will have fun!! :cool1:

Don't worry. We will do all that come June.

Pineapple Express is about a stoner & his dealer running from the cops.

I saw this movie with DBF. He got a bootleg copy, don't ask. And I thought it was hilarious. Not a movie for everyone, but I thought it was great.

Has anyone here ever stayed at the Hojo solo? Is that walk "safe" all alone? I'm a little worried about that......

I think it is pretty safe for the most part. My suggestion, walk pretty close behind a family or group. That way you aren't "alone". And if you find yourself alone, walk on the busier side of the street.

IAt night, I think it would be not safe.

Weird; the above isn't showing up unless I quote you January.

I did come back alone late one night and was not scared. There's usually families walking back. I would stay on the Hojo side (rather than the shortcut across the street)--just more people that time of night. But like she said--you won't be alone!

I think it's ok at night. :confused3 Remember that night in June we met up? When you and Maddie went across to DL and I walked back? I wasn't worried. As long as it's not really late or long after the parks closed? kwim?
If you try to make that walk after DL or DCA closes, you'll be walking with hordes of people. Like cattle. :rotfl2:

But I agree, no one should be out walking alone. We have a big group and should stick together in cases like that. :thumbsup2

Have to agree....Superbad was pretty raunchy. I saw it once and that was enough for me. I would see Pineapple Express again though. I thought it was really funny.

I saw Superbad too, and I agree. Ruben's watching Pineapple Express now. Well, finishing it. I'm only half paying attention.

I would love to walk with everyone - it's just that I'm coming down on Monday and everyone else is coming on Thursday - darn you all pirate: I'm trying to figure out what I should do - maybe stay somewhere closer for the first few days??

This is also my first trip solo ANYWHERE, so I'm a bit of a wuss (OK - a lot of a wuss, but don't tell anyone, 'K??)

Danny McBride (in the neckbrace) cracks me up in every movie he is in. He is also in Hot Rod and Foot Fist Way and some others. He is too much.:lmao:

Wait, you're coming in on Monday? The 2nd? Oh, I didn't know that! Well, in my opinion you'll still be fine. Like we all said, stick close to a group or family, walk on the side with the hotels and restaurants, and don't wait until real late to leave the park. Leave when it closes and you'll have bunches of people walking that way with you.
Don't worry about it, just think of it as an adventure!

I thought about it! An eclair AND extra pain pills. A win-win situation. :rotfl2:

Exactly.::yes::

What Beth said.

I can see all 50 of us walking down Main Street. :rotfl2:

:crowded::crowded::crowded::crowded::crowded: :crowded:

I can't wait!:rotfl:

Yep, I'm coming early - I want my B-day card :thumbsup2

Me + adventure =:scared1: I'm still trying to psych myself up that flying alone is really not that bad (I'm not quite buying that yet, but I'll keep trying!)
