You guys look like the homecoming king and queen.

Ugh, I'm sick. I musta caught something in Disneyland. I wish I was in bed right now.

Thats what you get for ditching work. jk

Note to self: Don't have kids.

I remind myself of this all the time.

I am placing an order with Vons. I was going to ask if anyone else wanted to order water or something. My order has to add up to $50, but I do get free shipping.

so many beautiful photos posted... thanks for sharing everyone:flower3:

:crazy2: Gag me! We do not! We are sooo the geeks who were tortured relentlessly by the homecoming king and queen. :lmao:

But now, that we are almost 40, we're too cool for school! :smokin:

(especially when my dh stands on a rock to appear taller than me!) :rotfl2:

i've never ordered through Vons.. what do they have? is there a link that You might share? What are you going to order? Would You be interested in other's joining Your order? How many of my 20 questions do i have left to ask?:rotfl:

Awww, that sucks! Feel better!!

Amen to that, sista! I swear by the time these little turds vacate the premises... Im going to need dentures. I hate this. Can you tell Im on the homestretch?? :lmao:
:rotfl2: Hiya Megan! Hang in there. Once they arrive, the real fun begins. ;)

IThere are tons of websites geared for his age. starfall.com is just one of many that deals specifically with phonics.
That's a great website. :thumbsup2

Note to self: Don't have kids.
Well, don't have twins! :rotfl: And if you do, find a good dentist.

No problems :) If you go to vons.com and then click on grocery delivery you can take a look at what they have. I think you can look as a guest if you don't have an account there. I don't mind if someone else wants to order at the same time. The only issue I could see is if someone were to get a lot of refrigerated items because I am coming on Monday and will just have my little fridge, so not much room to store things. I don't mind storing water or stuff like that though.

I was gonna say he is pretty tall. :rotfl: But you still look like homecoming royalty to me.

Thank You for being so gracious. I went to the site but it won't let me look at any of the items. So when i return next week I'll check it out, Thank You for helping me.

Plus..i'm still trying to decide whether to stay at Hojo's or Holiday Inn.

Well sure cleaning. That's easy. LOL Anything else...........ick! :crazy2:

I never had problems with my teeth until I was pregnant with the twins. That's when it all started going down hill and hasn't stopped since. :sad2:

After I had Maddie, I had a dead nerve in the back of my jaw. I also had to have 2 root canals. Fun times. I was losing teeth before 30.

You got it exactly. Recessive genes on both sides!

Quarter Korean, 1/8 Welsh, 1/8 Portuguese, 1/2 Irish/Scottish/possibly British mix kiddo preparing for his Korean 1st birthday....

My hair was blond growing up (though I've since found out that I had red hair as a tiny baby) then turned brownish, then with "help" it stayed blond. Hubby has black hair b/c he's half Korean, his mom of course has black hair, and his dad had black hair.

What we didn't know is that my grandfather had auburn hair (I got my curls from him, which I did know, but his pix are all b/w and no one mentioned the color) and FIL's sisters were red-heads. Found that out when little mr ronald mcdonald showed up!

His cousins, with a caucasian mutt (like me) as a father, but I guess he didn't have the red hair recessive gene, look MORE Korean than their mom, hubby's sister, who looks exactly like hubby (it's scary). So it was quite a surprise.

good gracious, you're lovely! Take the pictures for your daughter, even if you never look at them.

Molly, he is a CUTIE! I love the red locks.

And thanks for the compliment.:flower3:

Isn't she? I hate her. :rolleyes1 ;)

I have almost no pics of myself when my kids were younger. I hated how I looked so I never took any. Only lately have I realized that if something were to happen to me, my kids would have almost nothing to remember me by. :guilty: So on our last DL trip I forced myself to get in and pose for some pics.
I still hate how I look, but for their sake, I'm glad I did.

Oh, that is something to think about. I will make an effort to be in the pics instead of taking them.

Babies, especially multiples, can wreak havoc on teeth. My dh just doesn't understand why his teeth are so much healthier than mine when he doesn't spend near as much time taking care of them.

Oh, and here's a pic of my dh and his goat, which I think is quite handsome ;)

Nice! You two look great!:thumbsup2

I have been looking around stores here..nothing has caught my eye. However I did see some cute ones on ebay.

Ugh, I'm sick. I musta caught something in Disneyland. I wish I was in bed right now.

Bummer. Getting sick on vacation bites.
I hope you feel better soon!

I'm pretty darned unstructured, Molly, and tend to lead toward unschooling until they are age 6-7. If Eamon is wanting to "play school" with workbooks, just go to the dollar store and pick him up some pre-K phonics books. Start playing games that are geared toward learning like making letters out of clay or filling a pie pan full of flour and letting him draw letters in it with his finger (messy, but they love the feel of it on their hands). Play counting games with pinto beans and cups. Take ten beans and hide a certain amount under one cup and see if he can guess how many are under the other cup.

Does he like to play on the computer? There are tons of websites geared for his age. starfall.com is just one of many that deals specifically with phonics.

Let me know if you want any other ideas. :goodvibes

I agree starfall is a great site. Maddie plays on that. She loves using the mouse to drag items into the right spot. She likes this site more than the "fun" ones like the nick jr or playhouse disney sites.

Okay ladies, we need to talk pizza for a minute here. (My favorite subject!! lol)

First off, we got GREAT news from Lorealle today. She sent me an email letting me know she and Willie made some calls to the company that had previously booked the conference room, and were able to get it cleared for us to use it for our Meet and Greet on the night of the 5th!! :cool1:

So no worries about being out in the cold or rain. :thumbsup2

Now the plan is to order pizza from Costco. We need some info on what sort of pizza everyone prefers so we don't end up ordering too many meat, when most prefer cheese, that sort of thing.

These are the choices:
Vegetarian (bell pepper, onion, olives, mushroom),
Meat (pepperoni and sausage),
Combination (sausage, pepperoni, olives, bell pepper and mushrooms),
Pepperoni
and Plain cheese.

We have 30 ladies signed up for this event. PLEASE, PLEASE post and share your opinions on what you'd like to see ordered so those planning it can get a general idea. Thank you!!

Also they are planning to serve a salad. AND we are asking those who are able, to please bring a dessert to share. Even if you are flying, if you can pack some cookies in your suitcase that would be great. If it's simply not doable, that's ok, but for those who can, please plan to bring a treat to feed approx. 30. Thanks!!

Finally, we need to discuss drinks. We need ideas on how best to manage this. We are going to do Jello shots that Cheryl has graciously offered to make and chill ahead of time. But if anyone wants anything stronger, or some wine, etc. then we need to figure out the best way to do that. Perhaps pool some money and make a liquor run?

Anyway, thanks for your input. That's what will help make this trip a success!! :flower3:

All good ideas! He does play on starfall.

The problem is he wants structure. I think he would be happy if I created a classroom for him, like he's seen on dora and blue's clues or whatever. Which would be great, but that costs money (note to self, look on ebay for a kid's desk/chair thingie).

We've had conversations about it, and he refuses to believe that he's learning when he's just living. It's WEIRD. He knows so much; had a terrific math lesson at the DMV of all places, from another 4 year old (he learned to count using his fingers and nose, it's soooo cute, and he does really well with it), and he's really intuitive about math so far. But he thinks he's not learning anything unless he's sitting at a table "doing" proper workbooks. And they can't be CUTE workbooks, those are just play.

Kid's pushing my buttons about it, LOL. :) Though I always did like workbooks. :)
