I will be seeing him on Mondays for awhile and I am encouraged that he can help with my stress!! :)

You guys are awesome and I am so glad that I have you as friends. Lynn is also getting counseling as well and hopefully it will help!

Thanks for being here to talk to!! It means a lot!
Good, I'm glad to hear all that. It'll all work out. :grouphug:

You know, looking at those food pics, I totally forgot how much I liked the food at the French Market. It was really good!!

I had the Four-Cheese Pasta & Vegetable Gratin: A creamy blend of Cheddar, Smoked Gouda, Provolone and Asiago surrounding tender pasta and smooth, subtle bites of Shiitake Mushroom and Cauliflower Florets topped with Seasonal Breadcrumbs. Oven-baked to a golden finish. With Seasonal Vegetables and Cheddar Corn Bread. (in pic #5 above)

On the schedule for Saturday, I know those doing the WIWF tour get a meal with their tour, so I had put for those not doing the tour we could meet up at a counter service for dinner around 5:30 at either Riverbelle Terrace or Rancho del Zocalo. But now, I'm wondering if anyone is interesting in going to French Market? :confused3

I'd like to eat there again. Then from there I/we can head to find a spot for Fantasmic.

Just a thought.

I love French Market. Its my fave probably. I was upset when they changed the menu, but I still love it. I'm down for eating dinner there. Riverbelle doesn't do it for me, and Rancho is "fake" to me.

I SO got caught ditching work early on Friday!!! :rolleyes1

I got a good talking to, but thankfully I still have my job!!! :worship:

It was totally worth it though!!

I thought you got it approved. Not good Wendy.

OMG! :faint:

OK, cool! I'm excited to eat there again. I've only been there once and I'd like to go again with some friends! :cool1:

So Saturday dinner, we'll have one group eating their WIWF meal, and one going to French Market. Does 5:00 sound ok to those interested? That will give those of us saving spots at Fantasmic plenty of time to pick a prime spot. :thumbsup2

Sounds good to me. I will be hungry by then considering breakfast is so early.

Sorry to be a downer ladies just needed to let it out.
Hang in there. Our trip is just around the corner.

I have the French Market on my must do list for Feb with the Fam. I am going to remain uncommitted, so that I can go with my Fancy for Sat. evening.

Scrapbooking is my other addiction!!! And since I'm pretty much ALWAYS scrapping Disney trips, my 2 addictions go hand in hand!

:offtopic: I just got a phone call from one of Lindsey's friends. This little girl has been calling over and over all weekend long! At least a dozen times a day. It got to the point where even Lindsey was telling her not to call anymore without me even saying anything. LOL

Well, I told her that Lindsey wasn't home and she could call back later. So she asks me if I was Lindsey's mom and I said yes. She then goes on to tell me that her mom got "very, very mad" because Lindsey apparently called their house early this morning (not sure how early, I didn't see her make the call) and woke everyone up.

Of course I apologized to the girl and said I would talk to Lindsey about it, but it really pissed me off. I felt like asking to speak to her mom and then telling her mom that I'd speak to my daughter about not calling early in the morning if she'd speak to her daughter about calling someone's house a dozen freakin times a day!!!! :rolleyes2
We have a kid that calls like 20 times a day and used to be early and late, etc. His Mom is a drama queen and is always telling me about other Moms complaining about her kid (he has asperger's and has some really annoying traits). She is a divorced Mom, working all the time and has no energy to deal with her kids issues. So I just lay down the rules to him and he follows them for the most part. It is sort of wierd to parent someone else's kid, but I've known him since age 5, and he is 13 now, so I don't mind. But that calling thing is really annoying. I basically don't use our home phone anymore, and just hit the "do not disturb" button if I get tired of it.

OMG! That is a freaky looking thing!

:scared:

Are we all looking at the little tiny red snake?

Thanks so much Molly for that! And to everyone else who responded.

I am enjoying just reading your threads and chuckling and that makes me laugh. Hopefully I will be back to my old self soon but it is great to know I have friends like you guys!

Hi Kelly, Good to hear from you and glad that you have gotten to a place where you can get some help. Stress is a really hard on you, so hang in there.

There is a girl in my DD's school who is sorta like that. She calls DD almost every day asking about homework or what is due. She will sometimes call in the morning too. She always needs to have something explained to her regarding an assignment. It drives me crazy.

No problem. :) It's a counter service place so who ever wants to show up can, and everyone is free to eat wherever. Our main group meal that day is our breakfast. :cool1:

If you're leaving the park, countless other people will be leaving at the same time. You'll never be alone unless you TRY to be alone. Just stay on the touristy (hotel) side of Harbor if your'e worried.

But even on the other side, you're in full view of cars and the other side of the street, so I wouldn't worry too much about that, either.

You'll be OK. You are very brave! I wish I could join you that early but I think my husband, since he would have to take a week off to sit around the house (albeit playing with his son that he adores spending time with), would cry.

Borrow my solo flight routine.

Buy a trashy magazine. In college and beyond it was ALWAYS Cosmopolitan. Since I used to fly over college breaks, on my way down it would be one months' mag and then the other month's would have come out during break, so I'd buy one each way.

So buy one magazine that is a Feb edition...Vogue, Cosmo, something HUGE that you can read and savor pictures in. I had forgotten how excellent Vanity Fair was until yesterday when I was reading my friend's copy while DS played with her cats (I'm visiting and feeding her cats while she's in Hawaii). So get one for Feb and do NOT read it (just put it in your carryon bag NOW), then at the airport buy the March edition, and you have one for the flight down, and one for the flight back.

Take time to look around your airport...I forget if you're leaving from Canada or if you're going from Seattle...if from Seattle, take some solid time looking out those awesome windows from the renovation. Walk as slowly or quickly as you want and need to. Get a snack, a coffee or juice or something, and some big muffin that you would never get with your family b/c they would all snarf it before you got to it. People-watch. Keep a smile on your face. When you see families yelping at each other, smile towards them knowing how nice it is for you to NOT deal with that on this trip. (do that at Disneyland, too)

Take your trip 20 minutes by 20 minutes. On the plane realize there's a rhythm to the flight...boarding, getting settled, taxiing, take off, leveling out, readying for beverage (and maybe even food) service, getting beverages, seconds on beverages depending on your airline/flight, just flying..., preparing for landing, descending, landing, taxiing, etc. Tick off each part of the flight as you go.

Enjoy feeling free as you pick up your baggage and you don't have to deal with other people's baggage too, enjoy how quickly (or slowly! whatever you want) you can get from point A to point B (that goes for Disneyland as well).

There, I've written you a novel, but now you don't have to spend time working out your own system. :)

Molly - thanks! I know I tend to "overthink things" and I'm sure I'll be fine. I really want to go by myself for the first few days, just to see how I do. I'm comfortable by myself, so I'm sure it will be fun. It's mainly the flying part I'm not so keen on. I'm leaving from YVR this time because I don't want to drive all the way to Seattle or take the bus. Getting there is fine, but there does not seem to be a good connection on the way back and any savings in airfare is taken with bus fare, etc - although I am a fan of Virgin America :thumbsup2 and will do that way again.

I'm going to try and do all the things my DS would never want to do - Hello, Ariel's Princess Lunch princess: and not worry about doing the things I would normally do with him, for him (I feel a bit selfish saying that - eek!). However, if anyone is going on the Tower of Terror (even though I HATE this ride with a passion) - I did promise I would do it once for him - but not alone. He wants pictures to prove it though :rotfl2:

Beth - I know you did the WIWF tour previously. Where exactly is the dinner/meal? Is it in New Orlean's Square?

My son already had our next THREE visits to DL all planned out, so it looks like we will definitely be renewing our APs this year. I may even try and talk my DH into it........

sigh--don't tell Linda but I may have to ditch out for the last bit of the WIWF tour and meet you guys at French Market--haven't been there since they changed the menu . . . . hmmmm . . . . .possibilities . . . . .

Hi Ladies! It's been a super busy day for me so all I have time for right now is a "drive-by Hi". :moped:

I go in to the dentist in the morning for my crown prep. Don't even know what to expect, but am hoping for no needles.

Been dealing with 2 dogs with kennel cough and am treating them with homeopathy. I spent the day with Cricket's litter-mate's owner today. She is the nicest lady and brought us over two different crates for her and took us out to a frou-frou doggy boutique and bought Cricket two different collars and a leash, then she took us to her groomer, who gave Cricket a pedicure for free.

Ok, I gotta get the kids to bed! Hopefully I'll have more time to catch up later.

Callie

I am also a nervous flyer--in fact, until 2008 hadn't flown in 10 years--then flew three times in three months (including all the way to Orlando!) Luckily they were all pretty smooth flights.

My goal is to someday go to Greece (sigh--hopefully with someone tall, dark and handsome, well, at least tall and dark) so I'm forcing myself to get over this fear.

I still can't believe I went to DLR yesterday and all I had to eat was BREAKFAST. What a waste.
