Girls Only Disneyland Trip - Old Thread

Michelle, I'm so sorry about your job.

I'm pretty sure that Stacielee, her DD and my Mom and I will be there at 8 a.m. on Sunday . . .. or thereabouts!

And I'll still be in bed mumbling about how crazy you all are for being awake so early on a Sunday.

(Yeah right........I don't think so.)

Don't be mean to our cute little scavenger hunt!

I've had a great start this morning; first, my most un-favorite aunt came to visit. I'm sure you all know her, Aunt Flo. At least I'll be good this weekend!!

Then, I had to take my DD to school this morning and I backed out of the garage... BEFORE the door had gone all the way up. Knocked it right off the track and scratched the top of my van. At least I was able to pull it down by hand when I got back. Hopefully we don't have to pay someone to come out and fix it.

Hope the rest of the day goes smoothly!

Stacie, I hope your day gets better! We'll be in Disneyland soon enough!

Okay, not that life shattering news or anything, but due to a totally mindless scheduling boo boo on my part...I'm IN for the trip now!!!!!

I just found my official paperwork requesting days off for my veterinary convention in Ohio (February), still in my briefcase. Yep, filled it out in November.... and never turned it in. So, now it is too late to find relief vets for the days I work, so I am SOL. Luckily I hadn't sent my reservation in yet, because then I'd be out money as well as really disappointed I won't get to see the billion old friends I always get to play with when I go. Bummer. Don't really know how I was such a big idiot.

So, I can come Thursday, Friday and leave on Saturday. Saturday is a black out day for me, so I wouldn't be doing the park anyway.

So, do I still have space under the sink in our room, Stacie? Is there anything I can still sign up for. I am not much of a sit down meal kind of person, but would like, if possible to do the breakfast on Saturday.

I will look at the front page and see who to contact.

Seriously distraught about my blunder (look forward to seeing all my Ohio people so much), but pretty jazzed about making the Girl's trip!!!

Bad news on this front. I lost my job today. Suddenly, abruptly, and I don't have a job. They layed off me and two other people together, so I know it wasn't about any issues/concerns with my work. But, now I'm once again unemployed! I'm so bummed. We were JUST starting to get back on an even keel from be being unemployed for so many months.

Oh, sweetie, I'm so very sorry this happened to you.

I hate being blindsided like that because it gives you NO WAY to prepare AT ALL! Why didn't they at least give you two weeks notice, so you could prepare and get a head start on a job search?!!! Interesting how employers ask employees to give them two weeks notice if you choose to leave, but they don't give their employees the same courtsey.

I wish I could do something for you. Just know that you're an awesome babe, and you have an awesome circle of friends here to support you any way we can!

Beth, can you update a couple of the lists? My friends, Deanne & Sherri, won't be coming until Sunday and leaving Monday. So any list that has their name on for Thursday-Saturday they can be removed from. They're both teachers and have something they have to do on Saturday.

Oh Michelle.. that just made me sick to hear about you getting laid off. It happened to my brother along with the 8 other members of his staff on new years eve.

It's such a shock... and reflects on the current state of the economy not on you. *BigTightHug*

I will pray for you. As it brings with it a sense of fear and unrest in the unknown as well as a feeling of not being good enough.

You just keep reminding yourself that You are Wonderful Person and a Valeuable Asset to any business. Hang in there.

Ummm i'm going now... time for lunch..the twinikins are spending the day... i found mickey mouse shaped chicken nuggets at Costco.. so we are having those.

My kids eat their chicken nuggets with Ranch dressing and ketchup mixed together. They call it Ranchup.

Great news!! I'm sorry about your Ohio trip. That part sucks. But I am glad you'll be joining us again.

Done. I took them off of Blue Bayou, Carnation Cafe, the breakfast, and the hunt.

I've heard from Linda (lulubelle) and she let me know that she has received responses and checks from everyone signed up for the WIWF tour EXCEPT fairycat/Heather and bsbllmom/Cheryl.

Heather and Cheryl, I sent you both PMs but if you read this first can you just post and let us know if you are still interested in taking that tour. Thanks a bunch!!

Also in the event that either one, or both, of those two decide not to attend the tour, do I have anyone interested in taking their spot?
Please PM me or post here on the thread so we can get a waiting list going in case some room opens up. That way we can keep the whole tour just us DIS ladies!!

So what I need from you now is for each person ALREADY signed up for Carnation Cafe to please let me know first of all IF you have a seating preference and if so, which time so we can get those lists organized.
