Girls Only Disneyland Trip!! Old thread. New link in first post

Just wanted to check in and let everyone know I am very sad right now. We had to put Coco to sleep tonight. Her biopsy from her tumor surgery came back and it was grim. She had lymphoma in her intestine and liver. She has been unable to keep food down and has had diarreha for days. She's been at the vets for 6 days. I held her tonight and she was so thin and frail and just plain sick. They asked me if I wanted to hold her while they injected her IV. NO WAY!! I had a hard enough time saying good bye. So, she is gone and DH & I have been bawling all night. I am so ready for our trip, but I am so emotional right now. I need a day or two to grieve. Thanks for listening.

Dawn and Cheryl, I looked at the F&W events and for once I don't think we will book any. We have done a few sig dinners (we didn't think they were worth it), the "Taste" event (waaayyy worth it!) and the Wine Reception (fun and would do it again, but none of the dates work for us). I would be interested in the French meal, too. When is it? I am jealous you are doing the Napa Rose School, you lucky dog you!

Yep.

The actual "big galoot" comment came either from Robert or a cyber-friend's then fiance...can't remember which. And either Kirsten or I had to call our honey after we met to say "not a big galoot". What was especially funny is that since she and I cyber-met while planning our weddings, our first meeting was actually at a wedding gown shop! So it would have been very obvious very quickly if either of us had been male. Though honestly she was the only one trying on gowns...I had been engaged for longer and had had my gown in hand from early on.

But yeah, it's a very common fear, especially from overprotective (or just plain old protective and realistic) significant others.

I will be arriving Thursday for the kick off and staying until Saturday afternoon/ early evening.

So this weekend or early next week I need to find a white t-shirt to make my Tinkerbell tee! Is there anything else I need to know? I have my tote bag I just need to fill it.

Good Morning Ladies!

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your beloved Coco yesterday. I know personally how much that hurts. I still miss my Danny cat after 4 years of him being gone.

I think I'm the only person who hasn't Googled "Green Door". Nope, not gonna do it!

I'm pretty happy today because due to the generosity of one of our ladies, I'm able to make this small DLR trip happen for my family and save almost $200! Steph - THANK YOU! So my family (minus dh) and Claremont friends are going to be with me in the parks on Thursday and then they will come again on Sunday (and I'll hook up with them again after brunch at the Club ) I'm going to be able to use the Club 33 parkhopper as my real ticket that day (which is really making this all possible -- so THANK YOU to Heather).

The only downside is that my dh doesn't have a ticket on Thursday. He's ok with not being able to come, but I know secretly he would love to join us. So I'm just going to throw this question out there:

Are there any ladies who are not planning on going into the parks on Thursday who are using parkhoppers for this trip who haven't purchased them yet? If so, would you PM me? I think we could make an arrangement that would be beneficial to both of us.

Hi Everyone,
Finally caught up on the posts after having been gone for 9 days with the fam. I did bring my laptop but I kept falling asleep before I could even nearly get caught up.
We has so much fun and a big part of that was meeting Michelle and Ethan. We partied hard at Minnies Breakfast and I have to tell you, I have it on video: Michelle and Captain Hook boogying down! It was great fun!

So much has happened! Lulubelle, so sorry for your kitty. I volunteered at PAWS and helped with euthenizing when necessary. It is such a peaceful relief for those friends that are in pain. It is hard to say goodbye, but you made the right decision.

January, so glad to hear your daughter is okay.
Heather, good luck today with your sweet Nathan.
Capri: So sad for your little guy. I second whomever said get the social stuff in the IEP. Also, insist that they address the bullying with all students in general, but also specifically with that girl and her parents. We actually have a friend for social support in our 504 plan.

Oh, and Amy: Regarding the bus incident. That is a crime and I would be inclined to press charges if the school is not taking care of it appropriately.

Okay, that is all I can remember right now, except Yeah Cristabel!!

Well, I am off to a wonderful arbitration hearing, which is not my favorite part of the day! Dang laundry will have to wait again!
