Beth - Looks good to me. :thumbsup2

So what time is everyone getting there on Thursday? I know some of us are meeting up at Ariel's at 2. But is anyone gonna be around before that?

I'll be there since Monday, so I'll be there in the early a.m. :thumbsup2 The parks open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, so should be EASY to get to park opening.

Beth - I just noticed that the pizza party time is not on the schedule - still says TBD.

That sounds so cool. When can I come visit?? :yay:

Uhhhh, no shirt. I found the white ones at Walmart that everyone was talking about, but ummmm, they only go to a 2X and that won't fit me. :sad2:

You can come visit anytime! We'd love to have you!:cheer2:  :cheer2:

Babe, you're not getting out of wearing a matching white Tink shirt that easy. I will not have it.:rolleyes1

Hey local ladies, I have a question for you all.

As I have mentioned before, our family is driving over to CA early next week to spend time with our friends in Claremont (just 30 miles away from DLR). Their whole family has S. Cal APs.

I was going to have my friend, Michelle, help us get the 2-fer tickets for my family so we could go to DLR for the kids' birthdays instead of Legoland. The problem is, when my friends bought their APs, the dh used his new CA driver's license to get them all. My friend, Michelle, still has an AZ license for several different reasons, but mostly procrastination. Anyway, the upshot is, if they ask for id at the gate with our 2-fers, my friend and her kids will be with us, but she will only have her S. Cal AP, and an AZ driver's license. What do you think the chances are that they'll turn us away? Do any of you have experience with using the 2-fer for out-of-state family or friends? I'm getting way too nervous about all this, but I MUST do this the cheapest way possible.

Any advice or encouragement would be greatly appreciated!

Callie: I wish I had an answer for you. I do know that I heard a radio ad this morning for the 2-fer and it indicated you had to live in a certain zip code to get the deal.

Does your friend have any other form of i.d. with her SoCal address? Like maybe a utility bill or something with her name on it? I don't know if DLR would accept it, but it would be something.

Well, if your friend actually needs to get a CA drivers license, tell her to quit procrastinating and go get one.;)

Or have her bring a couple of utility bills (electric, gas, garbage, whatever) with her name on them, along with some story about why she doesn't have her CA I.D......for example (and this has happened to me several times) she forgot that her license is still in her husband's wallet from going out the other night, he's across town at work with his wallet and her I.D., so all she could bring to show that she's a resident is some utility bills (along with her CA AP).

Im not sure if anyone will be up for it.....but does anyone dance? I haven't danced at DL in ages. So if anyone was up for it and wanted to be my dancing buddy, let me know and we can make plans to dance one of the nights of the trip. :dancer:

:cool1: I'll go dancing with ya! I try to get DBF to go dancing but he hates it. If I promise to buy him a few drinks he might think about it. :rotfl:

LOL--I had the same thought!:lmao:

Yeah, I wish it was that easy. She's currently waiting on a certified copy of her marriage certificate because there is some issue with her married name. Anyway, it's not going to happen by next week.

Cheryl, I've scoured MousePlanet, MiceAge and the Dis for real-life experiences using the 2-fer for out-of-state guests. The language on the the 2-fer indicates that a S. Cal resident within the allowed zip codes can purchase up to 8 tickets daily (which has been assumed by many to mean that they can give them to family who reside outside of the allowed zip codes - the language is pretty ambiguous). From my research, I see many people have successfully done this, and I have yet to read of anyone being turned away if they are in a group with a S. Cal resident. Of course my issue is that Michelle obviously is a S. Cal resident b/c she has a S. Cal AP, but no license to back it up. I would think the turnstile CM would just see the local AP and not ask for ID since it is obvious they are local. But what if?? Dang, this is getting much too difficult and I hate spending this much time worrying about it.

Wish I could just say Annual Passes for everyone! But dh is completely freaked about money right now and he has no idea how much I am in for with the tours, meals, etc. during our Ladies' weekend. :rolleyes1

I can tell you, I've never once been asked for an id in conjunction with the two fers. We've used them in the past, used them for Ethan's bday and then gave them to friends who used the last day and were never asked. Nor have I ever heard of anyone else having trouble. So, I'd guess the chances were slim. BUT, they do have the right to check, if they want.
The utility bill is accepted by Disney, but the 2fer requires the person who is using it to provide proof (if they require it). And if they do, it would be ALL of you, not just your friend who would need to provide residency, so your friend having an id or not won't make any difference.

Hi girls!!!
So I hope this is somehow possible (I still need to talk to my parents) but I have gotten some money! Thank the LORD for tax returns and a job! But I get paid next Thursday, too.

Anyways, if I get the go-ahead with my 'rents do any of you think it would be possible for me to bunk with you for two nights? I would be arriving Thursday night, but too late for the pizza party ( I have class from 6:30-9:30p) and leaving Saturday late afternoon/evening.

Now I have to try and find the t-shirt information.

I'll definitely need to do some :worship: to get my parents to let me go.

Wish me luck!:wizard:

I'll let you know the results later today.

Good morning ladies!
I got home from Las Vegas (after a 4 hour delay at the airport! ) last night! My daughter and I had a blast at the cheer competition and the highlight of the weekend was meeting Beth and Jane!:cool1:

Well welcome home!!
I hate having delays at the airport!
How did the cheer competition go?

9 more days!!:woohoo:

I just wanted to give a shout out to Jane and Becci! I met up with them today for lunch. It was nice. Becci is really nice and so friendly. Her dd Michaela is very pretty.
Jane's son Ty is just adorable. He was "flirting" with the little girl at a nearby table. He's definitely a charmer.

The service might have left something to be desired but the company didn't. Thanks gals! :)

Thanks Beth! :) I really enjoyed meeting you and Jane also! Your girls are adorable and so well behaved! And Jane's Ty is a charmer!
Got to run - but will try to catch up on the thread later today!

Well, what about calling Disneyland and asking if the utility bill will suffice (I think it would) and whether an in-state person can buy for out-of-state guests?)

How cool!! You will have to tell me about that. A friend and I are thinking of doing one of the Sweet Sundays and one of the dinners. I'm waiting for her to get back to me! I may just have to book for both of us and hope that she's not booking separately!

When they had the $99 passes last summer, Cheryl got 4 of them for us. No one asked us at the gate for any type of ID. And from what I've read, they don't. I think you'll be fine.

Callie---I agree with others, no one cares who has the 2-fer, anyone gets in with one. I think they are just stingy who they will sell them too!!!!

Very Fun Cristobel, I was just thinking recently, what happened to you!! I don't really know who is in our room at what times, we have four at the moment, but I don't know who will be there when. Stacie is kinda in charge!!

I feel, the more the merrier, more money for churros!!!

I do fear that Stacie will insist I am the one who gets to sleep under the sink. (It's the snoring, I know!!!).

So do some serious kissing up kiddo!!!

I'm fine with an additional person in the room. Cristabel weren't we originally five when we started planning for this room. I wonder if we can get HoJo's to put a roll away in the room.

I agree more money for snacks!!!
