Okay, this is a dumb question, but I need to know....

.....is everyone wearing real tiaras, like the kind made of metal with rhinestones, or are you getting the party kind of tiaras that are more like plastic with splarkly plastic jewels?:confused3

Mine is metal with rhinestones. I noticed that Target also has some tiaras (at least online) in case anyone is interested.

And I am going to place an order later today for the Mickey headbands.

I know that Tina wanted 3 and Theresa wanted 1, even if they don't come in by our trip. Anyone else want to take a chance?

Again, thanks for the thoughts and prayers.:grouphug:

She seems much better. She was just busted jumping on her bed.

Kids! She probably has no idea how freaked out you guys were yesterday, right?

I'll take a chance on 1, Cheryl. Crossing my fingers they make it in time. :goodvibes

Cheryl, I'm wondering if they will let you ship the box straight to Hojos? Then, even if it doesn't get there until Saturday, we'll be there to get them. Just a thought.

Mine is a really tiny and is metal with rhinestones. I got it at the Disney Store in the area by the checkout counter.

Nope. Actually when we left the ER last night, she told us she wanted to come back because it was fun. She was pampered by the nurses there. She had good treatment. I just don't want to see the ER ever again.

LOL--well, if they do come my Mom will be housesitting and we can find some way to get them over to DLR (I only live 15 min. away)

I'm at work...ssshhhh don't tell!

January, I was a NICU nurse for several years prior to coming out to Arizona and working in the ortho unit. Lots of people have heart murmurs. There are many reasons that a person could have one. Some of these reasons are benign and some are more involved. When you go to the doctor's tomorrow, if he still hears the murmur, ask to have it further evaluated so that you can have peace of mind. Also, you are not a bad mom! You know that, but it is soooo easy to feel guilty about things isn't it? Give yourself a break. Children are very resiliant, and the jumping on the bed story made me laugh. I'm still praying. Do something stress relieving for yourself today!

Aren't kids funny?? My DS was the same - he was pampered when he was in the Emergency, and we were there a LOT when he was younger. He loved the attention and getting Popcicles :thumbsup2 My youngest nephew had a heart murmur diagnosed at birth and he required some follow up with a cardiologist until he was about 5 years old, then he "outgrew" the problem and now it's like it was never there.

Mine is small (on a comb), made of metal with clear crystals on it.

Okay, one more tiara question;

Would it look silly if the tiara had both clear and red rhinestones? Or should I go for 100% clear rhinestone tiara?

Okay, I lied, another question: Ummmm, what about style of tiara.....some have hearts, some have butterflies, some are more traditional looking. I was looking at this one on Ebay because it was sort of inexpensive compared to others. Is it totally dumb looking?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=350169131134

Sorry, question girl (me) has another one; how big (tall) is everyone's tiara.....one inch?....1.25 inches?.....1.5 inches?

(Man, I apologize for being a pain in the behind here! Can you tell I'm completely out of my element with this tiara thing? :goodvibes )

You are not being a pain at all!

I was just going to wear one of DD's...you know the plastic ones with the princess on the front. But I ended up finding a really tiny one that is so cute. It is about 1" high and 2 inches wide. It has a comb on the bottom that just slides onto the head. I think that most of the tiaras are going to be different styles and sizes. Go for what you like! :thumbsup2

You all are just too sweet! Thanks so much! I am a huge believer in prayer. I know that it helps.

She is on the couch watching Madagascar 2 with her daddy while I try to get some school work done. She seems a thousand times better.

Stacie and Heather...you all are in the medical field, right? Are heart murmurs a big deal? The doctor didn't seem to think it was. He was also in a busy ER on a Saturday night.;)

I really appreciate the responses to my post. It really means a lot to me. :flower3:

If the physician's aren't worried about it, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Do have it checked and evaluated though. But don't stress over it. One of my nephews had one at birth. We had him evaluated and followed, it corrected itself. My BFF newborn was just told she had a murmur. But the physician said not to worry. They will check and keep an eye on it, but will probably be nothing. From what the physician told her, its common.

I will keep you guys in my thoughts and prayers.

Kids are great like that. They bounce back long before the parents do.

I have that exact one. I also have another, but that one with the butterfly is my back up. I think its adorable. Its the one I found at Claire's.

I have a metal one, but the one that I am planning to wear at DL is plastic through and through. But, I love it because it is blingy and fun! My son was wearing it around the house a little while ago, and it just made me smile. And, is cost a whopping $3.50 from Claire's!

I saw those ones. They were totally cute. And blingy is right. Good choice.

Thanks, Stacie.

She has really been active today! I am trying in vain to keep her relaxed. She really has bounced back!:thumbsup2

Mine is metal and has rhinestones. But I think it will be neat to see all different kinds. Find one you like and just go with it. Make sure it's comfortable. Some of the ones I tried on at Claires were too tight and would have given me a headache within minutes. Ouch!

I just don't want to see the ER ever again.
I don't blame you!! Glad to hear she's back to her wonderful self.

I just wanted to give a shout out to Jane and Becci! I met up with them today for lunch. It was nice. Becci is really nice and so friendly. Her dd Michaela is very pretty.
Jane's son Ty is just adorable. He was "flirting" with the little girl at a nearby table. He's definitely a charmer.

The service might have left something to be desired but the company didn't. Thanks gals! :)

Looks like another slow night here. I am so tired. I didn't sleep well last night and have been feeling out of sorts all day. Honestly I'm ready for bed and it's not even 7:00 yet!!! :sad2:

I think I'll go lay down and watch some tv. Amazing Race is on tonight! :happytv:
Later!

I'll order one of the headbands, if its not too late. Thanks!!

I picked one up at Claires. I was tempted to go with an awesome, colored, blingy, princess-looking one, but went with a simpler, metal one. The metal curls into a design with a heart at the top and it has a few clear stones throughout. But then today my sis-in-law said she has a girly light-up disney one I should borrow....we'll see. Maybe I'll bring both and if anyone is tiara-less they can wear one.

I'm so sad that I missed this! I would have loved to see you both again and would have loved to meet Becci! Darn on call weekend!!!

I spent most of the day on the phone with work, tried to squeeze in a few errands later in the afternoon...groceries, etc.

I would have much rather been at lunch with some DIS friends!!

So...I was trying on my tiara, and Sam walks in (my almost 6-year old) and says "mom?? Is that yours" I reply yes...he looks at me with an odd expression for a few minutes, then says "you look like a big, really old princess" :lmao:

If thats not bad enough...he adds "but you're supposed to have long hair, you know, hair that goes down your back"

Is it March yet??
