Girls Only Disneyland Trip!! Old thread. New link in first post

Hey Miss January and Stacie..

My mom and i will be there on monday..we are staying through the 11th.

Michelle will also be there for her little girls birthday!

Is anyone else worried about big rain when we are there?

Rain? Usually in California we do not worry about rain.

But who knows???

How about just enough of it, that it keeps away the crowds!

Good Morning Princesses!

I hope today is good to and for each of You!

This is the afternoon the twinikins come and stay the night then tomorrow my husband leaves on a golf trip til sunday.

I may go stay at my parents while he's gone a golfinG.

I'm going to make tacos for dinner, YuMMy, simple and delicious.

I think I'm going to roast a good ole chicken with herbs. Maybe even make some stuffing on the side. Kaitlyn looooooooves stuffing!

I will admit I am a bit worried. It has been raining up here like crazy!! Not that I can't deal with rain but now I am starting to wonder if the shirts I packed will be warm enough! I may have to re-think them as it gets closer. Just have to watch the 10 day when it gets closer to the time I guess. That would really stink but it is one of those things. That is why I bought the long sleeve tink shirt though and why I packed long sleeves cuz I figured early march would probably still be cool for sure!

I hope it doesn't rain but I guess we will just take our chances! I am glad I am going back though the following month in case it DOES rain since that will probably be my last trip for a long time! Dh already said on our trip to SF that he is getting sick of DL. God forbid. I know he likes it there but he wants to go somewhere else too and so do I don't get me wrong but he doesn't get that going to Hawaii or Mexico is SO much more expensive. It is just SO easy to pop down to Disneyland and plus I love it so and he just doesn't get that every time you go there is something new to see, especially now with all that is going on. Plus for me I like to go once in the fall to see the decorations and once in the summer when it is warm and I can enjoy the summer nights etc.

But with the economy I fear we will not be renewing our AP's for a long time. He wants to take a road trip in 10 so we will probably not be going anywhere for awhile so we can save up vacation time and money for that. Don't get me wrong I would def like to go somewhere else but I will go through MAJOR withdrawals if I can't get my Disney fix or if I don't have a Disney trip on the horizon. I always have one planned for the future. After my April trip I don't have any more planned but I am sure something will crop up. We talked about going in the fall so who knows and of course there is always a 2010 girls trip right?

Hopefully that will happen I am assuming!

Anyway I am off to work today for a few hours. Hope everyone has a great day!

Well i wasn't worried about rain til my mother told me she saw big big rains in anaheim.. and also i saw a post on the disneyland board about rain.

So i just wondered if we are going to have rain

My mom just called me and told me she is all packed and ready to go to Disneyland! She's so happy about the trip

That little jacket in the pouch is wind and water proof so my top half will be dry!

Nolan has finally decided to drink out of a sippy cup today! Yay Nolan! I can finally get rid of the bottles soon.

Cheryl, the thread was by a woman with kids in elementary school. She, going along with what it seems you're supposed to do now, taped a box of Nerds (or something like that) to each Valentine her kid took in. Later, she got a call from another mom, who found a card from the Dis'ers child with tape on it with her child's other Valentines, but NO box of candy, and the woman asked if the Dis'er could send in another box of candy for her child.



So many questions...maybe the woman just wanted the diser to know that there was no candy, maybe the diser thought there was a request when there wasn't. Or maybe the woman just wanted her kid to have what the kid was supposed to have but didn't know what...or maybe she was really poor and couldn't afford to replace it....or maybe the woman was just crazy, LOL.

I left it after awhile (never joined in b/c that wasn't done when I was a kid, it wouldn't be done if DS were going to school, and I don't plan on him going to school, so I had nothing to add) but it was just weird on all sides.

That is just crazy. I would never think to do that. I would just assume that my child had already eaten the candy.

I am not too worried about rain. Rain sometimes means less people. I just hope it isn't around for Fantasmic or the fireworks.

Yay to sippys!! My DD is 4 and still occasionally drinks out of sippy cups. Our couches thank us for that.

Ok--so I just changed my DVC reservation AGAIN. They are going to ban me from calling. I decided to take my Mom after all--with a lot of maneuvering of points (and a very nice CM) we were able to get rooms (two studios-one accessible) for most of the nights we will be there at SSR. The first two nights we will stay at POFQ. I have to call and see if we can get an accessible room at POFQ--if not she will just have to "deal" for a couple of days--LOL. I had already bought the airline tickets and made ADRs for two. And, you never know when she will get to the point where she can't travel. So, I just called up this morning and did it.
