I think I have OD'd on red velvet cake.

I bought a slab of English Toffee at DLR and having part of that last night was my Valentine "treat"

Morning!!

I hope you all had a good valentine's day. I didn't work, which is unusaul for me as I usually work on Saturdays, so I spent the day scrubbing litter pans, bathing dogs and grooming the dreadlocks out of my Irish Wolfhound. Yep, I know how to live on the edge!!

No sweets, but I did OD on a Baja Fresh bean and cheese burrito!! (I'm a cheap date, that may be my favorite dinner of all times!!). I then slept through Chitty Chitty Bang Bang AGAIN!!!! I have never seen that whole movie!! Snore!!!

Hey Stacerita!! Took the transfer to the Post Office yesterday. Should get to you by Wednesday or before!!!

No, I didn't make it. My brother's "neighbor" (aka new girlfriend) made it and brought it over. I sorta requested that she make it. She had made it before and it was sooooo good. She also made a carrot cake in the shape of a heart. She tries so hard. She must really like my brother.

So quick up date.....ex-dbf has sent me a ton of text proclaiming his love, asking what he can do to make things right, begging me not to break up with him and to talk to him and give him a chance. I finally broke down and called him pretty late last night. Another rough call. We talked for a long time and he said all the right things, and made promises. I told him I would need to see those things in action before I took him back. So techinically we are not together, but that could change depending on if he follows through. We will see what happens though. I still appreciate everyone's support on this.

I am getting so excited for March. You have no idea. I am gonna start packing and getting stuff stacked in one area of my room. And I got to make my master list. I don't want to forget anything.

Quick thing.......last night while we were all sitting around the dinner table my mother proceeds to tell everyone the story of my Alice Cooper Valentine's Day. It was pretty funny hearing her version of it.

It's been great to see my Grandparents again!! I've missed them. My aunt is flying in tomorrow to help them drive back but they are going to stay until at least Tuesday before heading back so I'm hoping to show them around a bit.
We'll see. It's hard for them to get around. My Grandpa is almost 82!

Awwww, that's so nice that your grandparents are able to visit you. I hope you all get to do something fun together while they're in town.

Your grandpa is almost 82......my dad is going to be 82 this year too.

He's really slowed down quite a bit the last few years, and he's been falling a lot lately because his legs are getting so weak. I worry about him.

Just a super quick check in. I've been cleaning and doing laundry all morning since my aunt is going to stay with us. I'm off to run some errands now. I took Ruben to work so I'd have the van, then tonight I go pick him up and we all go to the airport to get my aunt.
Busy, busy, busy. This life thing is draining I tell ya! But fun, and I love seeing family members from MI again.

Basically, it's chocolate cake with a TON of red food coloring in it! So it looks "reddish."

I am back to square one with my tote.. argh.. stupid applique product would not stick to the bag.

I'm torn between running to Walmart and finding a pretty bag to fill with goodies or try another shot at making my own pretties (this time having hubby paint what I want) . Hubby may just have a new tote for his classroom to use.
I am NOT the crafty type. Finding cool fun oooo wow items is more my style. makes sense in my screwy life to have utter failure with trying the crafty route.

I am glad you all had a nice Valentine's Day. We celebrated ours last weekend at the Cheesecake factory. However, yesterday DH gave me some chocolates. I need to eat some...they are sounding really good right now!

Ok so the non-date went rather well.

So he picked me up at 6 and brought me a rose. (we just hang out 'member ). We went to Inca's for dinner. I had 2 capn diets. We talked and ate. Then we went to Papa's. We had more drinks...danced, talked & we had a really good time. His friend one of her friends was there and asked if we were dating? We both just looked at each other and smiled and I said we just hang out. His other friends T said...ya like every wknd.
And then she asked him what he bought me for Vday? I was like dinner, a rose and now these tasty drinks. We like to keep it simple. We just enjoy each others company. (those were his words from his text on Monday night)
He just looked at me and smiled and turned a few shades of red...well thats what he said...but in all we had a really great night. Then we ended up back at his house and he brought me home this morning. Tonight I am going over to watch a movie, that is if Jordan will watch his little brother.
Since we are just friends (my kids know about him), and well we hang out, I am just not ready to have him meet the fam' yet.
I have friends who bring men in & out of their kids life .... and I am just not like that. They know that Chris & I are friends and thats about it.

But dinner was yummy...I should of had a 'rita but I settled for my back up plan of my dear friend Captain Morgan.

Oh but mexican food was plan B. Plan A was to take me to Moses Pointe.
Its this super nice steak house...he said he wanted to take me there because he knows I like wine.

So my non-date went rather swell...
