Checking in again.
Strangely enough this thread seems a little slow today.

Stacie, you hit the 11k post mark! :thumbsup2

I'm being lazy until I go to the gym later this evening. I would go right now but anytime between 4-8pm the gym is a madhouse!

Oh, I need you! My DH is funny. He always says we need to get rid of some "stuff", but when I go to throw it aways, he gets peeved and says he will find someone to give it to :sad2: So it stays in a box, in the garage or storage room.......
That's why I throw stuff out or pack it up to give away, while they are at work and school. They come home none the wiser and 9 times out of 10, they never notice anything missing. So that tells me they didn't need it in the first place. ;)

We stayed at DL until closing 12 midnight on Sat. night and by the time we all got to bed it was close to 1am and then we had to wait until the kids were asleep because we had brought Easter baskets...not that they still believe but the won't admit to us that they don't! And then we got up at 6:30am for early entry.
Ok, that sound tiring but fun too. If you've gotta stay up late and wake up super early, DL is the place to do it.

Tina,
My dh ate 15 hot wings!
:scared1:

House is officially back on the market, at a $90,000 price reduction. :scared1:

If it doesn't sell now, I don't know what I'll do. :confused3
Ahhh, yes. The heat is a coming.

Wow, that is quite the price drop. I can't imagine someone wouldn't snap it up now. Good luck to you!! :wizard::wizard:

There is a DISer I know from the Exchange boards. We've met for lunch once when she was here on vacation. She lives in WA, and ironically enough built a house in AZ to be close to her grown kids who live there.
Anyway, she cannot get rid of the house in WA for the life of her. She's been trying and trying and no luck, so she's got a house waiting for her in AZ and is stuck in the one in WA.

I just thought it was ironic you are both trapped where you don't want to be and both want to be in each other's state.

I started with a hunk of carrot cake with home made cream cheese frosting at 4:00
Damn diets. I hate diets!!
8.gif
I want carrot cake now!!!!!

Was it good?
It was, wasn't it? Describe it to me in slow painstaking detail would you please?

Yes, I am a glutton for punishment. ;)

I don't blame you--I couldn't take the heat--shoot I'm worried about Vegas in June (but it's a DRY heat)).
Yeah, dry. Like sticking your head in an oven. :thumbsup2

A question for my So. Cal ladies, what is there to do in LA/Orange County aside from Disneyland.

My parents are going away this weekend for a couple's retreat and it will be just Anais (9 yo) and me.

I was thinking of going to Legoland because I have a "Buy one adult PH, get a kids PH free" but it's too far away.

Any ideas?!

HEY CHERYL!!

Hope that got your attention. :goodvibes

I need you to remind me one more time what the name is of that wine you can get at Costco which is almost as good as the wine y'all had at the Trattoria. I was at Costco the other night and wanted to buy a bottle and went through the whole section thinking the name would pop out at me, but it didn't. So I had to settle for a cheap Pinot Noir to tide me over. ;)

I'm not Cheryl, but we were talking about that the other day on the Vegas thread. Here is the info that Donna posted:

Rosa Regale by Banfi - there are some 2006s and a lot of 2007s around. It's at some Costcos and some places that have a good wine selection. Someone said it tastes just like Magicale, it's the same grape, sparkling... It will be near the sparkling wines. Near proscecco because it's from Italy.

At least I think that's what you're asking about.....

Hmmm, I don't know. In L.A. you could take her to the Disney Soda Fountain for some ice cream and then a movie at El Capitan.

I think it's nice you get to spend that time together. At 9 years old that's such a fun age. Heck, my twins are almost 9 and they can have fun just having a picnic on the beach or in the park. :goodvibes

I was thinking of that same thing but I reallllllyyy don't want to see Hannah Montana for $22 a seat. I'm not really a fan

I do like the Soda Fountain idea though :goodvibes

Thanks, Beth. :goodvibes

Although you were the last person I thought would have the answer for me. :rotfl2:

Yikes. I don't blame you on that one.

If it was Earth, I'd totally be down for it but it doesn't come out until April 22nd. My cousin is trying to plan a whole date for us girls to go see Earth together when it comes out. It would be Alicia (my cousin), Jasmine (her 2yo DD), Cynthia(8) & kristina(6) (Alicia's sisters), Anais (9), my aunt, my mom, and me.

Fun times!

Stacie, you hit the 11k post mark! :thumbsup2

Do I get a prize or something?

Yeah, dry. Like sticking your head in an oven. :thumbsup2

How often do you do that? :confused3

The childen's museum in LA, the discovery science center in orange, go to the beach if its nice and ride bikes, go to Venice or the Santa Monica boardwalk. You can always do one of those "color me mine" places. DD used to love those. See if there is a baseball game (dodgers or angels) you can usually find cheap tickets for those.

Did you follow the link Beth posted? It looks like you can order it online. $23 a bottle. I've been wanting to try it ever since you all have been talking about it, but I think I'll check at my Costco this week. Maybe it's cheaper there.:thumbsup2

Good Morning everyone and Happy Late Easter - I hope everyone had a great day! I have tried to read back and get caught up from the weekend but I am loosing the battle. ;) I'm busy with work today and will reply more later but we had a great time at DL this weekend, crowds were managable...loved the GC!...spend 4 hours at the Burbank airport last night:sad2:...I'm tired today and I want to take a nap!! And it's Spring Break this week and I am the 'babysitter'...working from home does have it's downfalls...:rolleyes:I'll be back later. Yawn!!

I hope you had a nice Easter in Simi...we were back here around 2pm...we live in the 'Texas' track. Funny how they name their neighborhoods here!
Hmmm...I don't want to offend anyone who lives in Palmdale but DBF chooses to live in Simi and commute 1 hour each way to Palmdale instead of moving there...

Oh yes, it's always nice to be in Simi and hard to leave. I lived in the Valley West track, but it wasn't on the west end, it's right in the middle of Simi, Heywood St. between Erringer and Sycamore. Go figure !!! Your DFB is very wise to make that commute !!

I went there last wk when it was posted. I wanted to see if Costco had it first. So now I am going to order it online....I hope its as good....October is a long ways away.......

Do you have a BevMo by you?
That's where I got it. I think it was $21.99.
It was very good. DD & I dusted a bottle in the jacuzzi at Hojo's one night. I don't think Costco here has it and I am only 60 miles from Cheryl. :confused3

The boards are quiet tonight. We are watching DWTS. Lil Kim just nailed "Jailhouse Rock".
