Don't forget that on the east side of the Grand Californian is the exit into DCA and a short walk to Toy Story Mania and most of the great rides as well as being across from the Rapids and up the hill from Soarin. You could be there early and get FP and do Toy Story Mania.

Yes do get lots of pictures especially of the exit to Downtown Disney.

See!!! That's my fear.. poor Little Churro, i have to keep him up high.:lmao:

Ya'll are so sweet, it was Fun to make!
I have a secret fear one of my little dogs will get Little Churro and eat him!:rotfl2: so when i can't find it..i'm like.. :scared1: Where is Little Churro?!!:lmao:

Oh my that is too funny!

Hi Capri! hehehe..your DH like Edward, I love it!! Smart choice!
Hi Sara!
Hi everyone else that I can't remember....

I am still not sure what to put in the boys' Easter baskets.
Jordan is getting batting gloves. I bought him the new Demarini bat as an early birthday present, and I guess it hurts his hands when he hits the ball :confused3

Monday is his first game. Kaeleb's I will find out tonight.

Debra..do your boys collect baseball cards? You could pick up some packs of those.. or go to the local sports collectible shop and get a special card with a player they really like. And gum, don't they chew gum when they play baseball or is that something else they chew?:rotfl:

Good morning girls!
Here's a quick hello from me!:wave2: We've been trying to keep busy here, getting our house and yard ready for the 30-40 :scared1:assorted friends and relatives who will be coming over for Easter. It was beautiful out over the weekend, and we now have flowers and tomatoes planted in our yard:cool1: But now it looks like it is about to rain, and the forcast says rain for the rest of the week. As long as it is clear and a little warm on Sunday, I'll be fine. I just don't have room for all those people in my house!:crowded:

Good morning!

I finally watched Twilight yesterday. I liked it. :thumbsup2 I'm looking online right now to order the last two books. I've read the first two a while ago but after watching the movie I want to finish up the series.
I just finished Twilight this morning. I liked it. I saw the movie a couple of weeks ago at my SIL's house. She had a bunch of women over, and they were totally into it! I need to watch the movie again.

I got Noelle one of the tees with every single character on it, including the "bad vamps", for only 10 bucks! I got some other things for her too to go along with the movie in her Easter basket.
Nothing says "Happy Easter" like vampires!:rotfl2:

Yes, France. But do you remember back in the day when our moms used to drink and smoke and no one thought anything about it?
My mom's doc had her on diet pills when she was pregnant with me! You all saw how tiny she is. She gained 80 pounds with both of her pregnancies!

On the topic of Twilight, I did see the movie, but I haven't read any of the books yet. My hubby on the other hand, has read all of the Twilight books (he really liked them.....he couldn't put them down), which I think it hilarious!:lmao:

I'll have to ask him who he likes better.....Edward or Jacob.:rotfl2:
That's funny!

And please come to my house and hide some in my yard!:thumbsup2

Love it! You are so creative, Dawn!

HoLa ChiCaS

*Hugs* for WendyLouWHo

I need some ideas for things to put in easter eggs besides candy.:confused3

I'm so out of the loop, i haven't read twillight or seen the movie.:upsidedow

Chik Fil A is sooo yummy..simple and good.. when my DH had to go out of town and my kids were little..we would get lots of our favorite movies and order a tray of the ChiK Fil A nuggets and have a party!

What a kewl pic Rochelle.. i sent it to my friend who collects marilyn monroe memrobilia.

Granola bars, fruit snacks and rolls - the healthy kind, peanuts in the shell, they're fun for kids to crack open. trail mix.

wow! I never would have pegged you for a cradle robber! :lmao:
There's a lot you don't know about me. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Hello Ladies,

I hope everyone had a good weekend and a happy Monday :goodvibes

On Saturday my boyfriend and I went to Universal Citywalk
Thanks for sharing those pics! So fess up, you and your boyfriend bought some of the edible undergarments didn't you? ;)
Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

Good Morning ladies!

Didja all catch that there's a new DISNEYLAND Community Board?

I have a feeling we might need to pack our Diva bags!

;)
WHAT??? No! I don't like change. And we are still planning a trip. If we are moved, we won't get many new members. :confused3

Unfortunately, my brother is a taker too. He's a VERY SELFISH person.
What is it with brothers?? Mine is a total bum. I won't even get started on him.

Oh I almost forgot to tell you all - we are going to DL on Sat. it'll be crazy busy I know but we are taking an out of town guest but the great news is that we are staying at the GC Sat. night!!
Lucky duck! Have a great time! :wizard:

He makes me wish I was 35 years younger.
:rotfl: I don't want to be younger. I just really wish he was at least 25. At 17 he is only 3 years older than my son and that's just way too weird!!
I don't know how men date ladies that are the same age as their daughters. Not my thing!

It was still snowing just a week ago, but now it's finally all melted.) We only walked a couple of miles, but it just felt so good to get out in the fresh air and moving again.:thumbsup2
I talked to my mom this morning and they have snow. :scared:

Nothing says "Happy Easter" like vampires!:rotfl2:
:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: OH TAG FAIRY! :rolleyes1
I think that needs to be your 3rd tag. lol

I cannot believe you are having so many people over at your house. Sounds like a lot of fun though. I hope the weather cooperates. :)

It's the second day of spring break here and I am finally caught up on the thread.

Had to work on Saturday--thought I was going to a 2 hour long meeting, and instead ended up being there until 6 pm, which made for a 5 hour long commitment! So, in addition to my day off yesterday I decided to add today as well.

Yesterday I sent Ty to school & ran lots of errands and enjoyed strolling leisurely through the stores without a toddler in two before having lunch with a friend. Got everything for Ty's Easter basket--a Playhouse Disney CD and some Easter themed Little People and Play Doh that came packaged in eggs. The only candy he is getting are some gummy savers, and even then I only put about 5 mini packs into eggs. He doesn't need the candy and if there was chocolate (especially peanut butter eggs) I would just end up eating it.

Today I kept Ty home with me since I have worked so many of the past weekend days. It seemed like a good idea earlier today, but as it is only 10 and Dave won't be home until 6-6:15ish, I am beginning to think this was a bad idea since Ty already seems bored. Maybe we'll go grab lunch and take it to the park in a little bit.

I am having major Disney withdrawal and can't help but think about the fact that I could be in Anaheim at a conference right now. But, then I remind myself that the parks are super crowded and that since I would have been rooming with my supervisor that I really couldn't have spent too much time at Disney anyhow... Oh well!

Wow, he has buffed up! One report says he's already gained 26 pounds of muscle and is still working on it. I wonder how. I hope he's not taking stuff he shouldn't to get buff so quickly.
Also when I was reading about him, it says he's only 17 years old!! I knew he was young, but not that young. Yikes. :scared1: :rotfl2:

wow! I never would have pegged you for a cradle robber! :lmao:

LOL--I was going to say the same thing--cradle robber!!

CoMickey... Please take lots of pictures of GC.. we are staying there at christmas for our family trip and i can't wait, it will be our first time to stay at GC. i hope you have a great time and the crowds part magicaly for You:wizard:

I will take lots of pictures! We've walked through GC at Christmas time it is beautiful!!

Awesome Churro! I am not sure I can ever eat one again without feeling guilty that I am eating his brother or sister!!

It took my hubby about 4 weeks to read ALL of the Twilight books. :goodvibes He loves to read and is always looking for his next great read.

BTW - he said he likes Edward better.

Like you and Linda, I'm also trying to lose weight and get into better shape. I lost 20 pounds since last October, and I need to lose another 30 pounds to reach my ultimate goal weight. It was so funny on the ladies trip because when we were loading onto IASW, Linda said to "put the skinny one in the middle of the seat", and she was talking about me!?! That's pretty funny because for one, no one ever refers to me as the skinny one (I'm usually the fat one in the group), and two, compared to me, I thought Linda was the skinny one. ::yes::

Anyway, it was such a nice day here yesterday that I went on a walk with my friend Cathy.....my first walk of the year. (We had a TON of snow this year. It was still snowing just a week ago, but now it's finally all melted.) We only walked a couple of miles, but it just felt so good to get out in the fresh air and moving again.:thumbsup2

My DBF likes to read too when he has the time which has not been a lot lately. I read the series in about a month too! I was late to the 'party' and just started reading them about 2 weeks prior to the last book Breaking Dawn's release.

We can all support each other in our weight loss efforts! It is always great when you have a group that you feel accountable too. That has worked wonders for me while following the C25K program...when I felt like stopping early during a run I thought 'I am going to have to report this to the others and I just can't do that!'

Thanks for the info! We have gone through that entrance in the past but recently I was staying at the DLH and I decided to go through the GC DCA entrance and they asked for my room key. I was fine since I was staying at a DLR hotel but if I wouldn't have had it they would not have let me enter DCA through that entrance.

As for the exit to Downtown Disney, are you talking about the one that comes out where Libby Lu's used to be?

WHAT??? No! I don't like change. And we are still planning a trip. If we are moved, we won't get many new members. :confused3

What is it with brothers?? Mine is a total bum. I won't even get started on him.

Lucky duck! Have a great time! :wizard:

I talked to my mom this morning and they have snow. :scared:

I'm not great with change either...if this thread gets moved please be sure and pull me along...it took me 2 years to find this thread this time!!

Oh my brother is another story too! He's not a bum so to speak I just think he really doesn't like his family...my sister and I and my parents...seriously and we used to be really close but not sure what's happened to him. Makes me sad but not much I can do about it. :sad2:

Thank you, I am excited! We've always talked about staying at GC but never could justify the cost since we really aren't in the room that much and since we go often and if we do stay overnight it is usually at one of the neighboring hotels but we have stayed at DLH for special occasions or if there is a great AP rate. I think we would be more apt to spend the money if we were going to DLR on a 'real' vacation like when we go to WDW...I still don't like to spend $300+ a night for a hotel room (I work in the hotel industry and I know their trends and pricing stategies ;)) but I'll splurge a bit more for a room for a vacation.

There's a lot you don't know about me. :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

I have a feeling we may find out in Vegas.

Thanks for sharing those pics! So fess up, you and your boyfriend bought some of the edible undergarments didn't you? ;)
Sounds like you had a lot of fun.

What if you choke on edible undies? How do you explain that to the ER?

What is it with brothers?? Mine is a total bum. I won't even get started on him.

I don't get it either.

I talked to my mom this morning and they have snow. :scared:

:lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2: OH TAG FAIRY! :rolleyes1
I think that needs to be your 3rd tag. lol

:rotfl2:

I don't remember getting peanuts..:confused3

She gave them to your sibling.

In GCH there is a fire exit door that people use as a short cut but there are not good videos or maps showing how this is done. There is a need to have that done for people who need step by step instructions.

I may go back one more time to Yamabuki and found gluten free cupcakes so I plan to take one to Big Thunder Ranch when I am next in Disneyland. No wonder I have gained 30 pounds recently.

The problem with me being 35 years younger is that he would be jailbait in 6 months and I would not know at age 17.5 what I now know.:confused3

As for Easter baskets you can fill them with eggs full of fun snacks like mini Oreos and trail mix. Add the eggs and toys they might like. Put some blister packed items or books in the back in a fan shape to make the basket seem bigger then fill in with the goodies.

Try this one as a suggestion of some boy things you could add. It has the fan of blister packed items in the back.

They collect everything!
Yep, they chew gum, but at baseball games its mostly sunflower seeds. So I am going to put quite a few packs of those in there. I never remember to get them at the store before the games. So I end spending a ton of money at the gas station before every game!

I was thinking that sometime we should get together with all our kids, mine, yours and Amy's, and head to Chuck E Cheese for a few hours. But it would have to be during the day, during the week, as I cannot tolerate CEC on a weekend or at night.
Not sure when or how that would work out, but it might be nice to keep in mind. :)

LOL--I was going to say the same thing--cradle robber!!
I learned from the best. :rolleyes1

I still don't like to spend $300+ a night for a hotel room (I work in the hotel industry and I know their trends and pricing stategies ;)) but I'll splurge a bit more for a room for a vacation.
I love staying at a nice resort, we've stayed at a few, but it's not the norm for us. For one, we really cannot afford it, and two, usually when I am on vacation we just don't spend much time in the room so it seems like a waste of money. But for a splurge now and then, it's fun.

So what is it you do in the hotel industry? (You don't have to answer if you'd rather not. You can tell me to buzz off. lol Oh, and if you've already said before and I missed it, sorry!)

I don't remember getting peanuts..:confused3
:rotfl2:

:rotfl: Maybe...I don't really remember getting anything healthy in my Easter Basket.:confused3
That's a good thing! As a child, every year I got a milk chocolate bunny. It was tradition.

I wanna be a kid again. :goodvibes I miss getting an Easter basket.
