I was just the victim of road rage. DD got out of school early today so even though I am home sick, I was picking her up from school and told her I would drive through and getting her lunch. Picked her up with no issues, went to her fave (Jack in the Box) and was heading home. I was in the far right lane and had just crossed the intersection when this car came into my lane. If I didn't slam on my breaks he would have totally hit me. As he was coming over into my lane I did honk the horn because I thought he may have not seen me. Well he just kept going.

So I change lanes so I am not behind him and when the next light came up, I was at least one car ahead of him, but in the next lane over. The light changes and I drive on. The car in the next lane is pretty slow and I will be needing to make a right at the next light, so I signal and change lanes. Remember, the car that cut me off is behind the slow car that I changed lanes in front of.

Now the craziness starts. I can see in my rearview mirror that he is speeding up, and cuts off a few people by zig zagging back and forth so he is right behind me. I now know this isn't gonna be good. I slow up and turn my blinker on since I need to make a turn at the light. He is right on my backside. After I make the turn he comes right up on the side of me and tries to push me into the parked cars. I shall mention that this is a one lane street right infront of the elementry school. I am very concernced since he is in the turn lane and is right by the crossing gaurd lady.

He pulls right in front of me then slams on the breaks. I stop in time though. He starts to drive on and I am hoping this is over since I need to turn into my track. He passes my street so I turn in, well he flips his car around and comes down the street and passes me. There is a fork in the road and he waits. I go to turn and he proceeds to turn and then cuts me off, puts his car so it is "T" in front of me then gets out of the car.

He comes over to the window and starts yelling at me. When he pulled in front of me I had already grabbed my phone to call 911. He is cursing and saying crazy things. I yell, I am calling the cops. As soon as he gets back in the car he starts off, then flips his car around and then heads straight for me, but turns at the last minute.

When 911 got on the phone he was still standing in the street. I told them what was going on and gave them his license plate number. And was able to describe him. But then they transfered me to the local police. And I had to give them the whole story again. I was pretty shaken since I could almost see my house from where this was all taking place. I explained everything again and the officer was very understanding.

One problem is jurisdiction. I live in an area where 3 cities meet at one intersection. The first cut off was in Cypress, the elementry school incident is Anaheim, but once I turned down the street is was Buena Park. I know its an issue, always is. I could hear it in the officers voice when he asked where this all took place. But I want to say he was understanding and I felt better once I talked to him.

I don't think there is much that will come of it. I told them what I could about the car, the number and his description. I am home safe. I was told that they would do some extra patrol around here though. So thats a good thing.

It was just so scary. Made my sick day at home to not be so relaxing.

OMG - Stacie, that is scary! There are some totally crazy people in this world. Nowadays, you never even want to honk your horn (even though it is there for a reason) because people think you are challenging them in some way and might flip. I'm glad it's over and you are safe

Wow Stacey that is scary. Do file a police report anyways. I watch my mirrors and if someone seems to be following me I will go in a different direction than my house. Wow that is scary. Worst is that you could not get the police right away.

I send you hugs and chocolates and am glad you are safe.:hug:

Holy schmoly Stacie..that's scary!! I hate inconsiderate drivers!!

Ok, so my sister-in-law and the family are coming over sunday to start planning our trip for september. I used to plan these things for a living but am just over whelmed right now. My DS just about killed himself last night. He's 3. My MIL and I were in the kitchen talking and my dd was asleep. My son was in my bedroom watching a movie and all of a sudden we heard him cry out. We ran into the room and he had found a yoyo and had somehow tied it around his neck and the bedpost. I was able to get my fingers between the string and his neck while my mil ran for the scissors. It was so scary. I have always been afraid of him putting things around his neck and here is my worst fear realized.

So, I am trying to decide what to do about the september trip. I was going to do the Grand since I now have an ap but the money is tight so now I am thinking of doing something else. I would consider hojo but my BIL wants a sit down breakfast included and a suite....my family just needs a place close by so we can get back easily for naps. We have done CCI in the past and liked that...it even has a cont. b-fast but my in laws have a family of 5 and those rooms may be a bit crowded for that.....I know I am rambling, but ideas?

Hi all - can't read all the posts... quick hi.

Yes, she looks great. Saw a long piece several months ago about her lifestyle changes. Lots of exercise and she uses a weight vest when walking. I bought one, haven't used it yet due to heel problems, but I may be getting ready to pull it out.

I liked her at first (her summertime was wonderful) but she really dropped the ball. I think she missed her 2 year old. The three guys, it will be one of them - all terrific.

Oh, is that what you collect? From your handle, I thought you were a Disney collector... do you have a big pin collection?

CoMickey - welcome, girl!!

LOL . I'm just a big fan of the DL that I remember as a teen. I hate change, especially when they take out my favorites. One being Bear Country Jamboree, and replace it with that lame Pooh ride. Ok, thats my gripe of the day ! As for pins, I have about 80 and lots of traders.

Stacie ..!!!!!!!!!!!! ...ohmygosh!!!!!! how scary!! biggest tightest hugs... mmmmmmmm.. i'm so sorry that happened to you.. you really need to relax tonight.

Welcome CoMickey:goodvibes

Oh my gosh! That is crazy. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that today, but glad you are OK now. I just don't get people who are road ragers. We all get frustrated, but some people just really take things to extremes.

Try to relax for the remainder of the day and feel better soon!

Just checking in!

I just finished a buttload of CSUF things, just getting everything in order.
It looks like I will have to go down on April 20th (Monday) for a 10 minute advisement :headache: (it's mandatory for new students) but maybe I'll be able to hop over to Disneyland when I'm done. The appointment is at 9:15 so I'm planning on leaving my house at 7:15 (I learned from my last trip to Disneyland that traffic can be a pain the patootie).

That will be my official last trip to DLR until August and that's if they accept my ticket. It's like what happened to Steph, I got stuck with the wrong ticket this time. I plan on going through the monorail entrance, it's so much fun. :dance3:

I'm off to clear the counters and then pick up my little sister from school. I still have to drop a few payments off for my dad and go to the gym before coming back home, doing laundry, getting ready and then going to see Fast & Furious.
:laundy:

What theater are you going to tonight? DBF and I always head down your way to see movies. We go to the one by the mall. I don't know what time but we are also going to see Fast and Furious. I want to eat at Salt Creek Grill for dinner too. Maybe I'll see ya there. :)

Country Bears was a place to wind down and relax for a while. They could have done so much with that show like varied music and costuming. I miss a lot of things from the past like keelboats, motorboats and America the Beautiful

I am glad the kid is ok, sahbushka. That is really scary. I have read about kids and strings strangling like on venitian blinds. Watch him with any buckets at they can be a hazard for little ones. Big Hugs.

I cannot do monthly shopping as my Visa payment is not through yet. I want my rewards, lol. I already have 18 the first month. I will pay the water bill with the Visa also.

Lara and her husband are joining me and Mary Jo at Yamabuki and everyone is still invited. I have eaten once there that I can remember years ago.

Omg Stacie! :scared1:
That guy was psychotic!
Makes me so mad :headache: I would have so wanted to punch his lights out!

Hope you feel better and they do something about him!

Hellooooo from the parade route at Disneyand!!! I am about to see the Celebrate parade. Had dinner at the Thunder Ranch BBQ. It was pricey but good. I will tell more later. Only so much I can send from my blackberry

On the Pooh ride they have the talking Moose heads from Bear Country Jamboree. I don't remember what part but you have to turn around and look behind you and you will see them hanging on the wall.

True, but don't you just lovethat you can DIS from anywhere? I do! :rotfl:

Wow Stacie! That's crazy! I hope you're settling down a little. I think I would be tempted to file a police report. I always think a paper trail is great. I've never had this happen before though, maybe your phone call is considered a report. I think I would make sure. Just in case.

Did you happen to take pics of the food at Thunder Ranch? I'm interested in seeing them. Enjoy the parade. Hopefully you have a good spot on the route.

Oh course I wish I could have punched his lights out. But when I am with my DD I am not like that. Calling 911 was more for her safety than anything else. I just couldn't believe that it all started from him almost hitting my car, and me honking to let him know I was there.

Stacie~ Here's a link to a review of Thunder Ranch including photos. The cupcakes look good to me.

Sorry to hear about your road rage incident. Sounds scary especially since you had your DD in the car:scared1:.

This is the pic that I took the other day of them. Yeah, its upside down, but that's how it was when I looked up.
