I have been away from here for a couple of days and you all put up 20+ pages. I need to try to catch up this weekend.

I did see a few posts (not all of the details, so I apologize if I miss anything). *Hugs* Capri, I hope all is well with your father. Kelly I hope you and your family are doing well.

Since I haven't been feeling well, I have a feeling that some of you on here are also feeling ill. I'm tired of the weather going up and down (temperature wise). I hope that those feeling ill feel better soon and those that are feeling well, continue to do so.

No matter what how I'm feeling tomorrow night though I am going out with Josh....and.....no kids!!!!!!!!! I can't believe we actually have people that we trust (friends of ours who also have 3 kids) that are willing/going to watch our kids for us...We're going to watch their kids later this month. If this goes well for all of us then we're going to make this a monthly thing. I just feel like :cool1::cool1: that we're getting a date night.

Okay I'm going to start catching up now...Try not to add to many pages....please...(need a begging smilie)

Hi everyone!! Well, I fly home tomorrow night! :sad1:

I guess former Governor Ron Blajevovoich (or however you spell it) is here at SSR -- I saw him on the news today and he was by our main pool. I haven't seen him though.

I have had a wonderful time. My birthday was fun--tea at the Grand Floridian was fab!! I spent the day at Magic Kingdom. And I got a $75 birthday fun card.

And and and .....
fairykin sent me a gift basket with champagne and cheese and chcolate and two Mickey champagne glasses!! It was such a surprise and so sweet of her.

I'll give you all a more detailed report when I'm home with a full-size keyboard. Till then hope everyone is well--I didn't read back very far so I hope everyone is well!!!

....I know Debra. There is a poster on the CB, her name is CathrynRose. Her tag used to say "I had ponytails so tight, I looked asian in all my pictures." Well, somebody here decided it wasn't PC, so they took out the word asian. The original I thought was very funny. I guess not too much offends me.:confused3

I heart CR!! I love that tag...I guess nothing really offends me either...
But really that's how I looked too!! I mean really did parents need to make those dang pony tails so tight??

Cheryl, what a nice gift from Dawn!! How sweet!! Have a safe flight home!!

Steph~ yay for date night! I hope you start feeling better!

Amy~ how's the headaches? I hope they are getting better.

I've just spent a couple of hours going through this thread and looking at all your pics and I'm a little jealous! I wanna be a Diva too. :rotfl: I'll probably go back and check out the earlier trips and planning, too. I wonder if you have room for one more on your 2010 trip?? It soulds like a great time all around. I'd be traveling alone tho, so I wonder if I'd feel out of place. Do you guys usually bring other family members with you? I'll go back to reading now.

Lisa :flower3:

Welcome.

My thoughts exactly!! Who needs them? :rotfl:

And guess what.........they just raised the California retail tax one percent. So now we pay 9 % as of tomorrow!!!

I am dreading back to school shopping this year. I need to make sure I have my store coupons...just to cover the tax money.

Well I just got a call from my Son, who just announced that I'm to be a Grandma again!!!!! :cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

:woohoo:Congrats!!!!

You're welcome. I'm a few years older than you - 53 - but I had click-clacks and I was really good with them. They were made out of hard resin, I guess now they'd be considered a weapon. LOL We weren't allowed to wear pants til 8th grade, but no blue jeans til 9th.

I remember having giant bruises on my forearms from errant strokes of the click clack. I don't know why they were so fun, they just were. I didn't wear pants to school until 7th grade, jeans until 10th!!!

nothing funny about my day unfortunately...some days in the ER just plain suck. I'm not tag worthy yet. I'll have to keep trying......
I have days like that too!!!!

Morning all.

Ah Amysue, another gal like me, migraine sufferer. That sucks. Sorry to hear that. I get the hormonal headaches and until I got on stuff constantly I got them EVERY flippin month but ask your doctor about Frova. That is a new drug for just "that" time of the month. I really am not happy about doing the hormone therapy and as I said in my other post I am going to see about other options. But before I started doing what I am currently doing which is basically taking hormones all month long so that I basically don't HAVE periods I was getting SEVERE headaches every single month during that week. I mean I was on my butt for that entire week every month. I get SEVERAL triggers though and my topomax helps a lot with the OTHER stuff but not the hormonal headaches.

I have to be so careful though about everything. Allergies trigger them and certain foods, if I get too hot or cold I mean you name it but the hormonal ones are the WORST.

So anyway ask your doc about the Frova.

See yall later!

Kelly, thank you for all the information. I have avoided much in the way of drugs since I used to get a migraine about every 3 months. It is nice to go in armed with some information. I've researched it online, but having advice from someone who has actually taken the meds helps!! I was still queasy today, schrieking head this AM. I don't know why I wake at 3AN, and by 6PM am fine...everytime!! Now I feel grat!!

Have a great trip!!!

I'm in the late 150s now....only 15+ pages to go....:lmao:

You owe me one. ;)

OMG, the hair!! I had so many different styles and went through countless cans of Aqua Net.
I don't know what this look was called, but it was scary.

OMG Beth!!! I had the exact hairstyle in 1983, major swooping bangs. I also had a tail, you?

Maybe the next party can be a pajama make-up party :hippie:.

I actually could use a bit of help in the makeup department. I deshine and mascara, anything more, I am at a loss!!

Somewhere on here I read how to make Mickey heads on your pedicures, so we could all sport fancy toes!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

And, yes Stacie, following the pedicures, I am sure we could fit in a LPF or two!!!

Amysue

Hi ladies!! My name is Terrie and I'm pretty sure that I'll be joining you next year on the all girls DIS trip to Disneyland!!!:cool1: I'm sooo excited!!! I even asked my mom to go and she said yes, she'd go!! She's never been to DL or WDW, so I'm so excited for her:goodvibes!! I'm also going to ask my sister and she what she says, but she's in school right now, so I don't know how that will affect her.

This will be our first trip to DL, if we all go. I've been to WDW three times and I think we're going back next year as well. So, two trips for me..if we go next September!!

I need all the info I can get for myself and my mom!! Like cost of rooms, food, tours/events, etc. If there's a page I can go to with all of the info, please let me know!!! Thanks sooo much I hope to be joining you all next year!!!

Hi Terrie! Welcome to the group. I look forward to getting to know you over the next 10 months before the trip.

Mickey heads on your pedi's, NO WAY!! I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

That was a nice nap. So my trip to DLR, how was it?

Overall it was a great day for me. I wish I had taken my hat and scarf as it was nippy. Threatening to rain but it never did. I got an ECV and headed over to the CM greeter at the Circle when Plaza Inn is located. I found out about the stroller as a wheelchair GAC.

I had not eaten since midnight so I went to the Blue Bayou and got in with in 5 minutes. It took a while and finally I talked with Moises the chef. I truly love the restaurant and the staff. The food was great but the price is way too high for what I got. The waitress was very nice and answered my research question.

I then went and checked the pins the pin shop to answer the question about where to get AP pins, they have them there. I loved the little courtyard and paused there. On to the artist who answered questions about the drawings. The one next to the bathroom is pastels and the one at Blue Bayou is watercolors. On to get a Tigger Tail. It was a lovely day.

I stopped to check out the fruit vendors then to the bakery. I was having so much fun today. The lady at the bakery showed me a book of ingredients. I got two mini Mickey turtles for mom and a Tigger Tail for mom. I was repulsed by the Tigger Tail. Orange flavoured coating over cold marshmallows.

I dumped the Tigger Tail and headed to downstairs of Hungry Bear for the bathroom. I come out and there is Brer Bear. He hugged me and then left. I got in the ECV and turned around to see a lady eating cotton candy with Brer Bear staring at her. I said that he wanted some cotton candy. It was so cute to see him asking and her just staring with a gob in her hand frozen.

I went over to the Baby Center and met a nice CM who gave me lots of info which helped that momma from boards I am helping then to First Aid to meet another nice pair of ladies. Another quiet spot and it was another lovely day.

Off to Autopia and to check out quiet spots in the park. The Autopia guy gave me some good info. I then went past Nemo which had about a 40 minute line. I stopped at the Matterhorn to take notes and met Joshua. He is a special needs kid in a pushchair. I told him my name and greeted him. Grandmother told me his name and the kid stuck out his foot which I gently took and shook just like a hand. Sweetest little guy.

I went up to Small World and boy was it getting crowded because of the parade so I decided to got through Fantasyland and then home. At Dumbo I found a quieter nook in the back and met a lady. We got to talking and then I left for the ECV rental place.

Those are the little girls whose mom I have been helping. Meeting Prince Joshua is what made my day of everything I did and all the people I met. People complain about the parks but Joshua was in his own little world happy as could be with the sights and sounds. I have not seen many guests that happy with the parks. It was a pleasure to have met Joshua.

AS you ladies know I am a bit overweight and need to get out of the house and exercise. This research trip was full of walking. I used an ECV but boy did I walk my short little legs off. I posted my info then crashed and slept about 2 hours. I feel better but will have to keep wrapping the wrist. I actually feel really good after that exercise and did not have a reaction except to the nasty Tigger Tails.

Wow the tag fairy came by how special. As for shoes mine in 1970's were leather strapped sandal with studs and 4 inch platforms. Who remembers polyester? I wore polyester in the 1970's and regret it to this day.

I will return you back to your usual topics: weenies and panties.:rolleyes1

Mickey heads on your pedi's, NO WAY!! I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!!!

I know, when I read about them, I thought, HOW COOL IS THAT?

Several different techniques. One involved using paintbrush handle-ends of two different sizes, dot the big one, then two small ones.

That sounds very potentially messy, great do-over potential.

The other was to use the scrapbooking little mickey head punch to make a, well, mickey head, and place it on the nail, and clear polish over it.

I think with those toes, and our tiaras, no one could EVER stop us!!!

AmySue

I am exhausted, but I wanted to say hello... seriously this has been the longest week EVER! I haven't had a day off since March 21st and junk just keeps on piling up higher and higher at both work and home!!!

Today Ty had a consult with an ENT and he will be getting tubes placed in his ears on May 1st. Hopefully that will help with his speech as well as his health (no more or at least fewer ear infections). I was surprised that the didn't test his hearing today but really just took a look at his ears, saw that there was fluid (as always) and concluded that he needed tubes (as I had already suspected).

Anyway, congrats to all who have been blessed by the tag fairy lately. TF, if you're still hanging around I would love to get my tag that I accidentally deleted back. It was green and scrolled I Believe (just in case you don't remember :wizard:).

Oh, and I am so excited that the New Kids are coming back to Vegas in July. One of my work friends is going to try to buy tickets for the two of us when they go on sale Saturday afternoon, so wish us luck! They are outrageously expensive as the cheapest tickets are $110, but how often do you get to relive your childhood outside of DL/WDW, so it's totally worth it!

Night all! I am looking forward to seeing Beth, Amy and Michelle tomorrow!!!

Hi Jane! We've missed you.:bride:

I hope all goes well with Ty and the tubes, aye aye.
Get some more rest, girl!

And yes, we are having a pajama party. I think pedicures are in order. But after a couple of cocktails I won't be any good at painting! Let's let the sober gals do that.

Deb, I heart CR, too. She is so witty, fresh and seems like a "cool" friend. Plus, she's a hairdresser and if she were our friend, would save me hundreds of $$ a year - HA! What I spend to be a beautiful blond (at least it covers the gray, right?:confused3). Not too sure about her ugly dog though, I know she thinks he is gorgeous, but I digress...

CHERYL!!! Can't wait to hear more about your trip. Honestly, we COULD be sisters! Breezy and I did a lot on her BD trip in January, but the two things we are doing while staying at BLT after the cruise is: eating sushi at Cali Grill and having the afternoon tea at GF. Maybe next year you and I can go on a trip?:cutie:

I'm off to bed. Thank God tomorrow is Friday, a co-worker of mine has been out with the flu and I am extra tired from covering her desk.:upsidedow

Hi all, I was out all day - it was a very good day - and boy have you all been busy. Vintage Disney, someday you'll tell me what you collect. I would love to hear about it. :)

Jane, I hope the tubes help Ty. Amy, you must be exhausted each night with ER.

LOVE the photos of Beth and Kelly in past lives!! :dance3:

Cheryl, was wondering if you'd see old Bogo. They say he's spending the whole week there. How can you miss that hair?:scared1:

Dawn, how thoughtful are you!

Welcome Terrie, you sound like a lovely person.

Stacie - sorry you are not feeling well - :rose:

Steph, you deserve a dancing banana - perfect....

You guys are so lucky to be meeting tomorrow - have a drink and think of us.:dogdance::dogdance::dogdance:

For my Idol watchers, boy that dialidol was right on the money last night - they picked the three bottom and Megan was last. Do you know who was at the top?

I am so going to try this!!

No one would dare try to stop us! Tiaras & Mickey toes!! HOT!!!!
