My rearend is getting bigger just looking at the picture! That's called "virtual caloric intake"
Oooooh, so that's why I'm so big! It's all the virtual calories I've been taking in. Yeah, that's it. :rolleyes1

:rotfl:

Opened two more vinylmations last night. I love spacing this out... Figment and Teacups. Teacups is so cute, green and lavender with astericks for eyes.
How cool!

Can I just say that now I want waffles too???!!! But not regular waffles, yummy ones with strawberries, bananas, chocolate, and whipped cream - oh my!!!:lovestruc
I know, those really make regular waffles seem so pathetic. :rotfl:

Beth, that Interactive site is awesome. At first I didn't realize what it could do. I guess it helps to read the instructions.

Thanks! :cool1:
:rotfl2: Well, I hope it helped some.

My eggos never look like that Beth! Although, we do like strawberry jelly and bananas on our waffles around here. Less mess than syrup! :thumbsup2

One of the doctor's at work is calling my house 4 times a day begging me to come work at his surgery center. The hours won't work and the pay sucks, but he's determined to hire me. DH is pushing me to do it. I have a call out to the administrator. It'd be nice if we could work something out, but I doubt we can. I need to be home with my boys right now. I'm finding out that Nathan will not qualify for any therapy other than speech and occupational until he is three. This infuriates me. The big push right now is to diagnose autism early, but if you do, there is no help available. I need to be home to push him along. I need to get DH and this doctor to understand that. I'm a little irritated with DH for not seeing the big picture. He's worried about money, but I'm worried about our son's life. We need to find a happy medium.

I just cleaned my bathroom. One room down 6 to go....

I hope you can get it all figured out Heather. Being the man of your home, your DH feels responsible for the money part. As a woman, you live by your heart. Both are needed. Take care.

Good Morning!
Afternoon Sarah!:goodvibes

I would have a very hard time swallowing that also! Your local school district will take over services when he turns three, but until then your state's early intervention program should be offering services. I would try to find a local group of special needs mom's to gather information from. Since every state is so different it is hard for me to tell you which direction to go in. I am part of a local Yahoo group that has been such a wealth of info for me. Most the time the local school districts and counties are so hard to get information from. You need to know specifically what to ask for or you will never get it, they never offer information.

Good advice Becci!:thumbsup2

I'm glad you like it :lovestruc

Oh, and Sarah, I haven't forgotten about you and getting a CD sent to you... I've just been super busy. I promise I will get it in the mail soon!

:thumbsup2

"Occupational" therapy for less than three? I don't get that at all!

Cristabel, I got the quotes - perfect use of them.:thumbsup2

So can only Beth post photos in the body of her post? Beth, maybe because you have such a high post count? I was going to post a photo but I'll put it in my siggie maybe.

Donna - you should be able to post pictures (your count is high enough).

Please go over to disAbilities board. We have a subboard that has parents who have autistic kids and my beloved aspie dude bookwormde. We talk about how to solve problems, legal issues, and bookworm keeps us up to date on the latest developments. They have suggestions on books and media as well as tricks. If the kid is a neurovariant like me then he will need parents, schools, family and doctors to learn to go from NT to NV thinking.

Like the time the mom was going to cut the feet off of some old pajamas and the kid freaked out because he thought mom was going to cut his feet off. There was the kid who demanded bok choy. Some kids have sensory issues over there like needing pressure or ear muffs to avoid sounds. They have helped me with my mother who is extremely hypersensitive and was slapped as a child for being stubborn when she was just being SID and NV.
NV is neurovariant and NT is neurotypical.

Sending you lots of hugs and some coffee for Becky.:surfweb::hug:

Good afternnon ladies.

Unfortunately both are very real issues. But I would side more with you and want to do the same. Nothing matters more then our children and their well being. Good luck.

Nope, you should be able to. Anyone should be. I use photobucket which makes it much easier for computer dummies like myself. :rotfl2:

Theresa, I don't even have permission to post images in my sig! Who do I contact about this? Maybe I'll PM a mod.

Donna - you can't upload images but you can use image code. If you have the photo on an online account like PhotoBucket, you can copy the image code, click on the yellow button above your post that has a picture of a mountain, paste the code into the popup, then add it to your post. Do you have a PhotoBucket account??

I have a prescription from the doctor for music therapy, ABA and floortime. The places offering these therapies will not take me as private pay because they are too full with children over 3 receiving these services from the state. Our coordinator says that when he turns three, she will get him in. I've tried. She says that DH and I can go to the local Cystic Fibrosis Center and take training for ABA. It's thousands of dollars and a 4 month wait list. By the time we'd pay for it, get in the class, take the class, and start, Nathan will almost be 3. I'm just trying to read everything I can get my hands on and do the best I can. I'm going to discuss this further with the doctor next week.

ETA-I do need to find some local people to talk with. I suspect like Becci says, I'm not hearing the whole story. Oh, and it took weeks of fighting to keep early intervention here in Arizona. The governor tried to get rid of it completely. The federal courts stepped in and stopped her, but she is filing an appeal. If that goes through, we won't even have ST and OT anymore. Everything will be private pay.

That is frustrating! Yes, I think there's more.

Thanks Beth and Theresa! I am reading a thread now on how to do this... never had a photobucket account before... but the thread is good.

Afternoon girls...

Heather~ Sorry about the crap you are going through. Its BS. Nice Tag!
Beth~ I really, really love the baby shower cake!
Becci~ Are you ready for a nap yet? I was up a 1/2 an hr after you and I am so ready to grab a blankie and crawl on my desk and take a nap!!

Only 2? :rolleyes1
I love cupcakes. If I made them, I'd have eaten way more then two. Which is why I try not to make them. LOL

Hi everybody--I've only read back a couple of pages while I choke down a Del Taco shrimp taco. What a day! Lots of stops and starts and phone calls with emergencies--SOP for the day before vacation right? Biggest crisis was that I couldn't get my laptop to connect to the INternet no matter what we did. After being on the phone with Dell for an hour it turned out to be a simple fix (of course). That was an hour I didn't have to spare! My BFF--who's a computer whiz--was going to come in and figure it out but we got it working right before she was scheduled to come in. If she couldn't do it I was going to have to beg Joe the computer guy to come to the house tonight.

So, the good news is that now I'll be able to give you guys updates while I'm gone; the bad news is that I can do work (in fact, I already have a conference call scheduled for Friday.)

So now I'm trying to get the "must do's" done so I can get out of here, pick up (and pay the hospital bill ) of the cat and go home and finish packing the carry-on! Then up at 3 a.m. tomorrow to leave by 4:30 a.m. to get to the airport by 5 a.m.!

This time tomorrow I should be in Orlando! And hopefully within 26 hours from now I'll be in DTD enjoying a cocktail somewhere!

Cheryl - Have the bestest of times in WDW! Give your kitty a big ol' hug for me and tell him I want to see him next month so he better suck it up and get healthy!

Heather - I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you are going through with your son.

Donna - I hope you figure out your picture problem! :goodvibes

Beth - Those waffles look sinfully delicious!

Good afternoon everyone! I think I have a touch of a cold and I better get better really soon, because me and two of my gal pals are going to San Francisco this weekend!
