Beth that was so nice of you!!

Ok so I was bored.
Here is a picture of my wedding dress. I sold it in April.

here is my ring. I still wear the band. But not the engagement ring. I actually wore it in DL.

Debra, that's so pretty! And I love your ring. :)

Well, I'm off to chill with the tv before heading off to bed. :happytv:

Awww, thanks, Beth. How thoughtful of you.:lovestruc I sure wish I looked like the hot bride you picked as me!

And Deb, the dress and ring are beautiful. :flower3:

And I love all the baby shower gifts!

Of course! I'll be sending out lots of healing, healthy thoughts for her.....but I'll still keep her in my prayers too. It can't hurt, right? :thumbsup2

Also, I think you should go be with her. Don't wait for her to call you.....just show up and be there with her. She may not ask for support, but I'm sure she needs it. And, it'll make her feel good.

(This has nothing to do with you and your friend, but for some reason it reminded me that both times I went to the hospital to have a baby, not one person came to visit me. No flowers, no visits, no phone calls, no congrats......nothing. It made me feel terrible. Especially since I always visited my friends and brought flowers/balloons and gifts for the new baby when they were in the hospital having their babies.....and I even helped some of them through their labor. It still hurts me to think about it.)

Capri, I totally get what you are saying about having a baby. I was on bedrest for weeks, and then had our littlest last Feb. We had just moved to Tucson in August, so really we didn't know anyone. Nathan hated the hospital and screamed the whole time he was there. DH hated the chair they had for him to sleep in, so even though we had childcare that first night, he didn't stay with me. I ended up being in the hospital for 5 days with no visitors. My own husband only visited me for about 30 minutes a day due to Nathan's behavior and lack of childcare. He did send me flowers on the 4th day because I got so upset. My mother didn't fly out because my father had cancer 2.5 years ago, and she still considers him 'sick'. (He hadn't had any treatments or issues for over a year at the time.) I'm still bitter about it, and probably always will be, but I've learned to let go most of the time. I'm working hard on it. We only got 3 gifts total for Nolan. Let's both have another baby, and be there for each other!

I wanna join the club too!

I had Ty about a year afer we moved to Vegas and also had no visitors/flowers at the hospital. And, my baby shower was horrendously awful. Typically baby showers for my co-workers are held on campus in the late afternoon so that people can come to the party instead of working the last hour or two of the day, and they are usually co-ed although the guys are often uncomfortable with the whole thing but at least they show up.

My supervisor, however, as the main host of my baby shower was determined to have it off campus and ended up throwing it on a Friday night. I think that a total of 3 people who were not serving as the co-hosts of the event came. And, not a single person from my 15 person office that I officially work in came except for my supervisor. It was a miserable evening and I couldn't wait for it to be over!!! Here's to hoping that if I have another child (and I'm getting baby fever again much to Dave's dismay...) that things go VERY differently!

Capri, Jane & Heather I think all 4 of us should have do-over babyshowers.
When I had Jordan I was just barely 18. It was one month to the day after graduation. I was done with school in January of that school year. I never had a baby shower. I was 17 and I thought that it would be weird having my high school friends throw me a baby shower. Then when I had Jordan I only called a few friends. It was sad & lonely. My mom didn't even call or anything. She lives in Oklahoma. (not even when I had Kaeleb did she call!! But yet, she can did & was there for my sister in Houston & my brothers, but I guess they are closer). But the ladies from church made me blankets.

But then with Kaeleb, I was older. The ladies at work threw me a shower on our lunch break. I was so suprised. They are so thoughtful. Then my cousin threw me a baby shower with a few of my friends. It was small but so nice. I was given many things.
But darn it if I have another baby I want a Brittney Spears sized baby shower darn it!!! Oh ya and you guys are all invited!!

Ok enough of my sad story....

Oh girls, these stories made me so sad! I have hosted many, many baby and bridal showers, and while it can get old being the one doing the work and never the one on the receiving end, I can't imagine not "taking care of" my firends!

A few years ago my DD was in the hospital, she loved the food. After she recovered, she asked if we could go back and eat there :confused3 But she also loves hospital cafeterias as well. She is a special one.
My brother loves hospital food. Growing up, we spent a lot of time in the hospital, visiting our grandparents. I think he just has a thing for it now. When my dad was in the hospital a few years ago, my brother would make sure to visit during meal times, so he could head down to the cafeteria!
All this talk has my uterus in a bunch! I want a baby, but I have to wait...
Well, there's your tag!:rotfl2:

On another note: I booked a package today for our late May trip with the great new promotion. :thumbsup2 What a great deal!:cool1: We were going to stay at the HOJO but since we didn't have the good ent. rate (had the 20% ap discount because we will be upgrading while there), the PPH ends up being just a little bit more. Plus we will get all the early entries and package perks!
Hojo was going to be $132.48 a night with taxes (Disney facing room) and the PPH standard room will be $158.30 with taxes and resort fee!

Good night all!

Becci, this looks like a great rate! I'm sure you and your family will have a blast!

Well, I'm off to bed now. Big day tomorrow. Good night, all!

Tag Fairy? Oh, Tag Fairy, where are you??

I do NOT need that as a tag! :rotfl:

DH rolled his eyes when I mentioned a baby tonight. He really doesn't care. I'm the one wanting to wait because as I said before, I want to know what it's like to have a baby with family and friends around! Of course if I have another one here, Callie can be my Doula, Capri can fly in with Greek food, and Stacie, you'll be in charge of organizing gifts and flowers. OK?

OH, and I want someone to sit in my room and watch bad daytime tv with me...any volunteers?

Of course anyone doing any of these things is liable to see the 'girls' since I remember most of those early days as topless, snuggle with baby, nursing fests. You've been warned...

Stopping in before I go to bed. Today was an extrememly long day.

I am sorry to hear about your friend Molly, she is in my thoughts and prayers that everything works out with her transplant.

To everyone that posted about being alone in the hospital after giving birth (Capri, Heather, Jane and others...can't remember them all of the top of my head) I am right there with you all on my youngest 2 kids. With Selena, my parents flew out and all of our friends were there with us (one was actually in the delivery room next to mine...her daughter is 3.5 hours older than my daughter. ;)) With my youngest 2 kids we were in CA and I spent each time in the hospital with the babies. Josh was able to come once a day each time but we live about 45 minutes from the hospital and it was hard with the young children. Selena was 2 when Raine was born and Raine was 21 months when Rhys was born...needless to say they really didn't stay at the hospital too long...

Just think if we all knew each other when we were expecting we would have been :grouphug:right there for one another the way we are there for each other now.

Okay I'm exhausted and an early alarm in the morning.

I hope you all had a great day today and an even better day tomorrow. :goodvibes

:rolleyes1 I have been blessed to not get the tag fairy's attention which proves either I am very very smart or that magic cloak given to my by my friends at disAbilities works so well at stealth.

Soon you will have a dozen tags.:thumbsup2
Remember that sharing is caring except with tags.

Good morning Ladies! My 5 yr old has been up since 4:30am - sooooo I have been up since 4:30am! I am going to need some serious caffeine today!:lmao:

Love it!

And of course I'll be the organizer! I haven't done anything like that in SO long!! Let's get the ball rolling, Molly doesn't have to be the only one taking one for the team. :grouphug:

Hey, you were just supposed to say you doubled your money. Not how much!! :rotfl2:

Maybe I should go back and edit my post.

YOu are quite good at it you know!! :lmao:

I felt like quoting for you...........

"You rang?" In the creepy Lurch voice.

( Do you know what I'm even talking about here?) I'm really dating myself. :guilty:

I know exactly what you are talking about. After a few nights in Vegas, I probably start sounding like Lurch anyways.

See, $2 I can handle!

It was fun. Another friend was doing penny slots. He started screaming "I won, I won, I won' and hoping around. Yeah, he won a whole $16. It was just fun to goof and play around.

Oh Stacie is gettin a new Sis in law!! Whoo Whoo!!

Woooohooooo :woohoo:

Ya it was pretty hard. Maya would be 10 in May.

I am with Stacie on the butt bow!! JUST SAY NO!!!!

Just say no over and over and over. No one should be subjected to the butt bow.

Ok so when Breezy has her Disney wedding, I will be her fill in bridesmaid/cakecutter/dress poofer/something....:rolleyes1
I really want to go to a Disney wedding!!

Count me in.....I will even be the potty helper. Trust me, I have done it many times before.

Seriously, how do some brides come up with just hideous bridesmaids dresses???

They want to look better than everyone else:confused3 Or maybe when they get that ring on their finger, taste goes out the window

This is the place where I was going to get married. It is beautiful!!
http://www.ourhiddenmeadow.com/

Nice place.

Doncha know? There is a secret club of brides who can pick the worst dresses possible. They have books w/pics of these things. And then they win a prize if they picked the worst! (I think it's to make the bride look all the prettier....);)

I knew it!

Well, he's going to TO June 25-28, so I would only be able to go for June 21-24 - which should be just long enough to get into a bit of trouble, but not too much :scared1:

You step foot into the city limits, you can get in trouble. Yes, it can happen that fast.

You got that right!! :thumbsup2

And I could drive you to the hospital when you go into labor too!! Get you there in 3.5 minutes. :rotfl:
