That is too funny!! :lmao:

Stopping in before I go to bed. Today was an extrememly long day.

I am sorry to hear about your friend Molly, she is in my thoughts and prayers that everything works out with her transplant.

To everyone that posted about being alone in the hospital after giving birth (Capri, Heather, Jane and others...can't remember them all of the top of my head) I am right there with you all on my youngest 2 kids. With Selena, my parents flew out and all of our friends were there with us (one was actually in the delivery room next to mine...her daughter is 3.5 hours older than my daughter. ;)) With my youngest 2 kids we were in CA and I spent each time in the hospital with the babies. Josh was able to come once a day each time but we live about 45 minutes from the hospital and it was hard with the young children. Selena was 2 when Raine was born and Raine was 21 months when Rhys was born...needless to say they really didn't stay at the hospital too long...

Just think if we all knew each other when we were expecting we would have been :grouphug:right there for one another the way we are there for each other now.

Okay I'm exhausted and an early alarm in the morning.

I hope you all had a great day today and an even better day tomorrow. :goodvibes

steph
Steph, I hope you can get a good rest soon.

Hi ladies!

Just wanted to share that Disney crocs are on sale on the Crocs website:

http://shop.crocs.com/pc-61-4-disney-beach.aspx?outlet=true

http://shop.crocs.com/search.aspx?searchText=disney (here's a list of all the Disney crocs that are on sale).
Thanks Pix!

How are ya?

Beth and Stacie!

I have some questions for you.

Stacie, how come you had to through Bakersfield to get home from Vegas? Dave said they are doing major construction. Is that why? I have to come home that way, anyways, but I was trying to figure out, why you didn't go down 15? Thanks!

Beth, Are the really cheap seat for Phantom OK? I can't remember exactly how big the theater was? I can get really good seats for $100.00 with the $40.00 off, or get the cheapy ones for around $68.00. I would love to save the money, but then I also don't want the "nosebleed" section either. What say you?

HI Mel

We did come straight down the 15. We went through and stopped in Baker, not Bakersfield. Baker is that little town where they have the huge thermometer.

So how come it took you 7 hours to get home?:confused3

There was bumper to bumper traffic from the strip all the way past stateline. It was horrible. Then there were a few other bumper to bumper areas along the way. Add to that the winds and sand. It just made a very slow ride home. The boys stopped once in Barstow to use the bathroom. And we stopped in Baker to eat at the Greek place. Other than that, it was just a slow drive due to traffic and wind.

Love it!

And of course I'll be the organizer! I haven't done anything like that in SO long!! Let's get the ball rolling, Molly doesn't have to be the only one taking one for the team. :grouphug:

You aren't offering to 'help' again are you!?! :rotfl2:

We have two kids, I think we have the mechanics down...

I do NOT need that as a tag! :rotfl:
Well, apparently the tag fairy begged to differ with you. ;)

LOL She has a wicked sense of humor. Love it. And look at you! Getting a tag and a post from her. :thumbsup2

Oh man! Once at Christmastime, it took us almost 8 hours to go from Orange County to Vegas! It was bumper to bumper from Corona to Vegas! What a nightmare!

Yeah, for you, you'd be going through Bakersfield. That's how my mom, when she lived in Hanford, would go.

But on the 15 the two typical stopping points are in Baker (Gateway to Death Valley, home of the Mad Greek, the World's Largest Thermometer, Alien Jerky, and not a whole helluva lot else. LOL). And also Barstow, which coming your way, you will miss the stop we usually take which is where the outlets and all the fast food is.

As for the Phantom seats, did you go to their website and see the interactive seating map? http://www.palazzolasvegas.com/phantom_seating/index.htm

That gives you a good idea of what you'll see from your seats. However, I will say that we were up in the balcony, middle section (Row E, I think), middle area. Our view was fine. And after the show we walked down stairs and stood down below to check out the view from down there and I personally preferred being up higher. So Mezzanine is fine, as long as you aren't too far back. :thumbsup2

Did you leave on Sunday?
Fridays are referred to as Get Away Fridays since that is when everyone is "getting away" for the weekend and coming here to Vegas. And Sundays are called Going Home Sundays obviously because everyone is going back home. (Real original, huh?)
But it's true and the later you wait to arrive on a Friday or the later you leave on a Sunday, the more traffic you will hit. If you add a holiday in there, expect that to double or triple. That's what happens when there is pretty much only one way in and one way out.

I believe it! LOL See my post about holidays. If possible, it's best to leave really early. When Ruben and I lived in Burbank and we'd take our trips out here, we'd leave the house around 5 a.m. :scared1:

Crazy, I know, but it was clear sailing all the way. We even gave speed racer Amy a run for her money, and made it once in a little under 3 and a half hours. :rolleyes1 I don't recommend that though!! Since then I've seen too many accidents along that stretch of highway. :(

Well, I hope you are all having a good day so far. Adam woke up sick. Stomach bug. :sad2: I really hope it doesn't last long! He's home now and due to his finger and surgery has already missed too much school.
I've been frantically cleaning all morning, drowning everything in Lysol and bleach. We'll see if it works or if someone else gets it.

Anyway, on a lighter and tastier note, it's National Waffle Day!!

ENJOY!! I know what I'm making the kids for dinner tonight. ;)

Opened two more vinylmations last night. I love spacing this out... Figment and Teacups. Teacups is so cute, green and lavender with astericks for eyes.

Beth, that Interactive site is awesome. At first I didn't realize what it could do. I guess it helps to read the instructions.

Thanks! :cool1:
