I crashed hard from food again and it was mostly organic and good, no sweets or chips just the butter and canned milk.

Zoemakes5 gets the two kids buffet vouchers.

April: will be there first three days or one of the last two Sundays with Calvin.

October meeting: I am planning on a wild time around the weekend of the 24th including a birthday bash and I listed once everything I plan to do. Steakhouse for breakfast, Taste Pilot's Grill for lunch, and dinner at Ariels. Ride bobsleds and Casey Jr. maybe do Toy Story Mania. Maybe include Halloween bash thing. You are welcome to be included or I can do a usual alone in the parks with no presents, friends, cards, hugs or nothing. Last year I got no card, presents, or anything and spent all my birthday on line except for the restaurant.

Las Vegas: Was there in 1978 with my mother for my 21 birthday. Since then was one time when I had to drive there to the north side to pick up a friend's daughter. Gambled once along the way in a town before you get there.

Date List: as usual I am last to add so here is my opinion. I do not care which date. I prefer February but with weather being crazy here we could find that which ever date we chose was the wrong one.

July: the week ending the 4th is the great Vocal Majority

December: No plans other than holiday stuff

I got 9 hours to wash laundry, wash my hair, feed mom who has not stirred which is unusual, and repack my park bag to take her to Goofy's Kitchen at 10:45 am

Got to go to the bank.

Hgus and chocolates and jello shooters and cookies to all
Lauire

Hhmmm... well... it's sad that we can't find a date everyone can go on. :guilty:

I think Beth is right, it is so *hard* to try to get a date to meet everyone's needs and prior commitments.

And Thank You, Beth for handling the poll and dealing with the results ,which in any of a dozen given out comes, couldn't have been easy.

:hyper2:

Come on....you liked it. ;)

Maybe...

:rotfl: too funnY... my Dad says.. hey hey.. all these years the strongest thing your mother ever had was boones farm til *YOU* took her on a disney trip! Now all she's talking about is jeLLo ShOtS!:upsidedow

Your such a bad influence...

You don't want to take one for the team?:upsidedow

I AM NOT TAKING ONE FOR THE TEAM ON THIS!!!!!!!

Well... if * a n y b o d y * is gonna be LiKeLy to ~catch~ a passsssssss... i think it would be on the VeGaS triP:rolleyes1

Miss Linda... she and her little friends would make a summer wine with country quencher.. and sliced oranges, limes, and sprite with some white/peach grape juice in it.

In Vegas I am not taking one for the team either...

Oh that sounds yummy!!

Ahhh yes, the Vegas girls. Well, that makes sense.;)

And Miss Sally's beverage sounds quite refreshing:thumbsup2

:confused3 :rolleyes1

That sounds like sangria.

That's what I thought!!

I love sangria at Olive Garden!!
Yumm..I want Olive Garden.....

Geesh...I leave to take a final and you gals were all chatty all night!!!

Oh, and I want to play with you all in December. :) It looks like you guys are going to be at the parks during the weekend of the Candlelight Processional (if they have it the first weekend).
Yay! Another Diva!:goodvibes

If you ever figure out how to have it all, please let me know!! I want it all too. lol

I'm curious, why does your oldest need braces again? I didn't think kids needed them twice! :scared1: (My DD needs braces which is why I ask.)

I know you are sad.
We had a very large group last time. 43 ladies attending is pretty darn amazing, and makes for a lot of fun.

However when it comes to picking dates, if you really think about it, odds are someone will always have a reason why a certain date won't work for them:
Won't have the money by then
Have a prior work commitment
Have a family trip planned for then
It's a holiday and too busy to go
Weather is too hot or too cold
It's a husbands/kids/parents birthday or anniversary or wedding or whatever.

See where I'm going? Meanwhile you've got people who need to know the dates asap so they can arrange their work schedule or their spouses work schedule. Eventually you reach a point where you have to say, okay, this is it. It's nothing personal. It might not be perfect for every single person, but it works for most and all we can do is hope between now and then the friends we made will all find a way, somehow to join us. :wizard:

(I'm not very good at expressing myself online so I hope that came out ok and everyone is able to understand what I am trying to say. )
Beth, you are doing great as usual in expressing yourself. We all understand.:grouphug:

A party of one? The cheese stands alone.

Yeah, eventually I will have to leave the thread as all of your chit chat will be rubbing salt in the wound of my disappointment.

Hey,hey, hey, anyone feeling sorry for me yet?

How about now?

Now?

How about now? Okay, I will stop!!!!

AMySUe
I will feel bad for you.

My tubes are sooooo tied!! No more munchkins for this mama!!:thumbsup2
:rolleyes1

Hey AmySue,
Just wanted to tell you...I married the youngest of 9 also (Catholic), and...we also eloped to Vegas! We sort of planned it, but not really. We were there for a few days and on the second day, I ordered a Crown Royal on the rocks while sitting there with my beau. He was shocked that they would bring something so good for free. He had been drinking gin and tonic or something. Anyhow...I like to say it was the plentiful and free Crown Royal that gave my guy the guts to ride the taxi to the courthouse. And that was 9 years ago so I guess we made the right decision:)

We just have so much in common! I can't make the Feb/March dates either! I'm slightly bitter too. Hey, let's start our own thread with our own dates and we won't even let anyone else vote. And if anyone brings up any stupid ideas, you can yell and berate them into shape!
Aw Tracey, I feel for ya too.

Ah, our own thread, where we have Total control and make all of the decisions and pick the dates. Interesting.:worship:

Then we can TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!!!

Insert evil maniacal cackling laughter and subdued lighting here.

Our wedding was planned after being engaged for one week. Romantic proposal that, and I quote exactly," I'd marry you if you want". Yep, made me melt!!::confused3

But, as for our thread. Do you think if we title it, Bitter Babes of DL, anyone would post, or do you think that that is a bit too off-putting?

AmySUe
LOL!!! To anybody else I would say no..............to you? I would say yes!

And Thank You, Beth for handling the poll and dealing with the results ,which in any of a dozen given out comes, couldn't have been easy.
:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Whoever does the opening night mixer of the girls party.. *pleasssssssssssse* do the candy buffet again... it was *so* much fun...
:worship:

my little granddaughters are sitting on the bed looking through my bag now...

As we listen to a very lovely Disney cd that a Special Someone made!
*big hugs* Thank You again for your thoughtfulness.:flower3:

I so knew you would jump on my bandwagon!

Dear Beth- Of course the decision has to be made, and so on. No hard feelings directed at you or any of the Divas that voted for the wrong date. :rotfl: Justy shaking my fist at the fates, ya know?? But I still think you are the baum:worship:

Regarding the braces: Andrew lost his middle top molers when he was 7. They are supposed to stay in until age 12! Then his other teeth moved back and when his front permanent teeth came in they were all sorts or sticking out, sideways and spaced. So he did head gear for about a year to move his
back molers back, creating and saving the spot for his 12 year molers to come in when he got to 12. Braces were on front teeth only to reposition them after their crazy slide all over. All that worked great and he got everything into position, wore a retainer to keep it that way. Then last year as he was approaching 12, and his molers came in, his mouth was changing shape so much we could not keep the retainer fitted. So, basically, he stopped wearing it, as the doc said we needed to just let those teeth come in and see how they landed. Now, we can see that his new 12 year moler is completely off. His back molars look like how they lay two rows of brick. The middle one is like a seperate row. It is really strange. So, they need to correct that, and then he does have about 25% too much overbite too, which will be corrected, in addition to general over crowding on front bottom, which is just cosmetic, but will make it easier for hygiene.

Man that's a lot of words. She did say the second round should not be as much as if we hadn't had round one. Not sure what that means, as the bid will be coming in the mao;, but I hazard a guess that we are looking at a minimum of $5000, based on what I have seen with friends. Sure hope the little one comes in straight. His 6 year molars are compacted, but they won't worry about that for another 6 months.

Morning all! So true, everyone was SO chatty. Took me awhile to catch up! Glad we have a date!! :) . Sorry some of you can't come. I will sincerely!!! miss those that can't come but hope that maybe you can work it out in the next year!!!!!

That is during mom's birthday and I keep convincing her that she will have a BLAST!! Who couldn't have a blast with US AND at DISNEY I mean COME ON! :)

Anyway today I have a date with yet MORE laundry and I have to pick up a bunch of meds that have been sitting at my pharmacy for days. Just too busy to pick them up!

Anyway gotta run the girls to school. STILL no lynn although Shane got an e-mail from her. It was totally bogus. She knows she got caught so now she is trying to suck up and says she "planned" this whole thing. WHATEVER!

So who knows how long it will be before she gets caught or she comes home. Guess we shall see!

Anyway gotta go! BYE

The rash is doing better. Still looks like bacne though. But its finally drying out.
Glad to hear it's doing better.

And Thank You, Beth for handling the poll and dealing with the results ,which in any of a dozen given out comes, couldn't have been easy.
You're welcome. No one wants to be the bearer of "bad news" or to have to finally make a decision, but I think it was pretty fair and I still have faith that everyone who went this last time will find a way to be there.

Yumm..I want Olive Garden.....
Me too!! I love it there.

Beth, you are doing great as usual in expressing yourself. We all understand.:grouphug:
Thanks.

It WAS fun! I hope we do it again too, or something very similar. :yay:

Thanks. And like I said with Amy, I know you will be there! Between now and then, I just now you will find a way. :wizard:
That's crazy what you went through with the braces. I'm dreading doing it for Noelle, but she really needs them. And her orthodontist needs a new boat. ;)

Glad we have a date!! :) . Sorry some of you can't come. I will sincerely!!! miss those that can't come but hope that maybe you can work it out in the next year!!!!!

She would have a blast!!! Just think of all the freebie desserts she'll get. :cool1:
Hope your day goes well.

Morning ladies!! Just checking in before running off to take the twins to school. See ya later.

Kelly~
From what I have heard the teenage years are the hardest.
But here is my thoughts, my bff was just like Lynn. Sometimes there are underlying issues that they are having a hardtime coming to terms with. Rae was her adoption & how the "birth" silblings were treated different than she was. I have been friends with her since gosh we were 12 & now we are 31. She was a terrible, horrible teen. I am not even sure how her parents made it through a few of the years. But I know that sending Rae away to a group home, only made matters worse. She met girls far worse than she was & at 15 ended up pregnant. Yet again sent to another group home in Kansas City. It wasn't the best place. But when she was 6 months pregnant she came home. Moved to the coast and when she had M, she was adopted by a wonderful family in the Seattle area. Its more open than most, but M has a better life than Rae could have given her. That was oh man 14 years ago. wow how time flies. Ok so anyway. The next 2 years were pretty rough also. She lived with a few different folks from out church. When she was 18 she married her love. But sadly it lasted for 7 long years. So fast forward to the present. 1 divorce & 2 marriages, 1 daughter & 1 step daughter. Rae has become so amazing. Her relationship with her parents is wonderful. Rae is my rock. There were many times as teens that we butted heads because of the way she treated her parents, but after 19 years of friendship we laugh about the dysfunctional times. But I guess what I am saying is there is hope for Lynn. Maybe her issues stem from her mom. Maybe her issues are deeper. But I just want to give you hope that in the end things can & do work out.
One thing I learned from her parents is not to overreact. Kids want you to react to them. Don't blow up in front of the younger girls. Lynn may be having a hard time at present moment, but she is there sister & they might look up to her. Just tell them that Lynn is not making good choices right now.

With that said I hope I didn't sound preachy, I just wanted to give you a lil bit of hope.
I have an almost 13 yo. Life is rough somedays.

I am sure it will be fun no matter what. :yay:

And I do believe Cheryl is sending out info to all eight of us. Maybe we can all have dinner when it's over? Someone said there isn't much time for eating and L&S will only hold us over so long. BTW, DH is joining us for b-fast. I told him he gets to meet all my friends. He said as long as Minnie is there, he's cool. Last time Minnie totally flirted with him and even sat on his lap. Cheap thrill, I guess!

Who's making the Lilo and Stitch reservation? Or has it already been made? Count me in!!
I'm heading up to Cheryl's the entire weekend, too.

You and I in Vegas = :drinking: :drinking:

Where's my camera?!?

Us again..

Oh, another camera opportunity... you guys are going to make this so easy!!

Hey, don't you go talking about your mama like that. I love her just the way she is. Heck, I love anyone who can out do me in jello shots.

Don't get your knickers all wadded up. ;) You will have at least 9 months or more to plan. Heck, someone could have a baby in that time. Jinx not it!

Oh JINX, I am SOOOO not it!!

Not sure about that yet. Will decide as it gets closer to the date. But I am leaning towards it so I can hang with everyone.

You did alright. I usually try to use the guilt of.......if you don't do well in school you are gonna end up living in a van down by the river.

Love Chris Farley; everytime they have a Chris Farley show on, they show that clip. That one and the stripper one with Patrick Swayze.

With the amount of people we have, that would take forever. :rotfl: In the PMs I received I asked people to pick which dates they prefer, everyone had the opportunity to choose their top three dates that work for them, and the ones I posted were the ones that came up the most, with February being the most chosen month.
No matter how you slice it, with this large of a group, there will ALWAYS be a time when someone can't go. If you wait for the perfect dates, a 2010 trip will simply never happen. Sad to say.

ETA: I think we do have the dates that will negatively effect the least amount of people. It appears more cannot go in January then during the ones that won.

I completely agree (sorry I'm so far behind, I'm just catching up on everything)! You girls are SO chatty!!

My kids are lovin all of the candy!!
Kaeleb wants me to get strawberry marshmallows to make rice krispy treats!!
:lmao: :cutie:

Now that sounds yummy!! :yay:

Michelle,
Cheryl made our reservation already. 8 am - party of ten.
See you then.;)
