Good night everyone. I'm off to sew, ironically MONKEY costumes!! I have till the 24th for the dress rehearsal..and I am nowhere close!!

I'm only slightly BITTER about the dates. (as I sob quietly at my computer!!)

Awww... you guys are going to have fun on MouseAdventure. I think there are three teams from the DIS, right? Tink33/Lesley, Califgirl/Chris, Daisuke/Kelly (my daughter), and I have played 5 times, I think - since November '06, and we're the DIS Divas. Sometimes we do really well, and sometimes not so well, but we always have fun.

One thing we learned - have a good meal before the game - hence breakfast with Lilo and Stitch. There is usually time after the game, before they give out the prizes, to have dinner. Kelly laughs at us cuz last time we played we went to the Cove Bar afterwards and ordered three appetizers and drinks, and we finished everything.

I also recommend very comfortable walking shoes, and make sure you have water. We rarely stop to buy a drink, so we always make sure we have water to carry. Last year, Spring, it was about 100º and I didn't drink enough water. It wasn't a pretty picture

Is anyone up for meeting on Saturday?

Oh, and I want to play with you all in December. It looks like you guys are going to be at the parks during the weekend of the Candlelight Processional (if they have it the first weekend).

Geesh, why can't I have it all! Anyhow, I will just do my best no matter how it all turns out.

And we just found out that our oldest will have to have braces again!

If you ever figure out how to have it all, please let me know!! I want it all too. lol

I'm curious, why does your oldest need braces again? I didn't think kids needed them twice! (My DD needs braces which is why I ask.)

I know you are sad.
We had a very large group last time. 43 ladies attending is pretty darn amazing, and makes for a lot of fun.

However when it comes to picking dates, if you really think about it, odds are someone will always have a reason why a certain date won't work for them:
Won't have the money by then
Have a prior work commitment
Have a family trip planned for then
It's a holiday and too busy to go
Weather is too hot or too cold
It's a husbands/kids/parents birthday or anniversary or wedding or whatever.

See where I'm going? Meanwhile you've got people who need to know the dates asap so they can arrange their work schedule or their spouses work schedule. Eventually you reach a point where you have to say, okay, this is it. It's nothing personal. It might not be perfect for every single person, but it works for most and all we can do is hope between now and then the friends we made will all find a way, somehow to join us.

(I'm not very good at expressing myself online so I hope that came out ok and everyone is able to understand what I am trying to say. )

Just wanted to tell you...I married the youngest of 9 also (Catholic), and...we also eloped to Vegas! We sort of planned it, but not really. We were there for a few days and on the second day, I ordered a Crown Royal on the rocks while sitting there with my beau. He was shocked that they would bring something so good for free. He had been drinking gin and tonic or something. Anyhow...I like to say it was the plentiful and free Crown Royal that gave my guy the guts to ride the taxi to the courthouse. And that was 9 years ago so I guess we made the right decision

We just have so much in common! I can't make the Feb/March dates either! I'm slightly bitter too. Hey, let's start our own thread with our own dates and we won't even let anyone else vote. And if anyone brings up any stupid ideas, you can yell and berate them into shape!
