DD did dress up like her one year. She is pacific islander (guam) and used to love Lilo. We would make fun of her and her dog and call him Stitch.

My kids are Irish...I tried to dress them up as Leprachauns one year....

Did you sign your mom up online for the birthday perk?? If yes, you can even go to Guest Services (no line there when I went) or City Hall. WWS is good - great nachos





Heather - let us know if they honor the changed rate. I paid for my stay in two (the had it as two reservations) and I did not see the changed rate updating on the 5th (and I swear I checked the night before, just in case!).


Debra - if I was there at the same time as you, I would LOVE to share a bottle of Magicale....... But we're going October 8 (so that means I get a bottle to myself )

I will be there with her if she wants to hang with me. She is 13 now and doens't like spending as much time with me as she used to. But if she knows you guys (Dis Ladies) will be there, that might change her mind. Plus she loves rides.

So in a nutshell, what happened on the VIP tour? I am REALLY anxious to do the WIWF on this trip...the things I couldn't do if the little one was with me. I'm stoked!

In a nutshell...not really a whole lot. We rode the Lilly Belle with Vern who was IMO AMAZING!! He was very knowledgable!! We walked around the park with Audrina from the Hills rotfl2: Went on a couple of rides, had a corndog (very yummy), then when we got the train station she ditched us.
Pretty much it.

As if you need to. You are already in great shape!


PB cups are my favorite candy ever. I can eat tons of those. And now the stores are filled with Easter candy, including those Reeses PB eggs. (drools)

I love anything with PB!!

Cristabel - we've had breakfast at SH55. It is very nice. They have a killer ginormous breakfast burrito, huevos rancheros, normal breakfast items. The atmosphere is very elegant and the portions large. Either split a meal or go hungry! Many of the servers have worked there for like 20 years so don't be surprised by the middle aged staff. For the free birthday gift, you have to go to the ticket booth outside. I know they often have a long line, but they will turn you away at the turnstiles. Plan on arriving early. Have a great time!

I have been at work all morning, I am starving and that sounds so yummy!!!

OK so I have you and Heather both coming and bringing the family.

Maybe I can get everyone who's going in October to PM me with their dates and who's coming with them. That way we can keep track of who will be there, and maybe even get the kids ages to see who might want to hang out with whom.



I'm not sure if I'm bringing my kids in October or coming solo. But either way, I'd be up for some girl time.

I wonder if I could get someone to come along with me? I could split my time between my kids & my friends? Mom is so uncool...yaknow...

If Jordan has his way he would spend the entire time by himself just going on every ride he wanted to without having to string his brother or I along. I let him at Silverwood with a friend, its not that big, but DL I am not so sure. I would def. get bad mom of the year award!!

Just thought I'd point out the fact that this thread was originated at 2:41 pm, it is now just past 7:45 pm (ok, so my Dis clock settings are off), but a little over 5 hours later, and we are on page 11, and 155+ posts.

October I am bringing the kids. If there is a girls nite, I am sure I can talk Jordan into watching his brother. He will be 13, it will be ok right? Not at the parks, but at the hotel. He watches him at home. I think I am coming Thursday -Sunday. I am pretty sure. Doing the trick or treat thing. We have never done it & the boys would love it!!

Since I know you guys don't mind off-topic chatter (meaning it's not related to our girls trip but it is related to Disneyland)...

I'm taking my mom to Disneyland next week for her birthday and I made PS reservations at Steakhouse 55 for breakfast. Anyone ever eat there? Cheryl said it was really good so I'm glad to have a reference.

Does anyone know how this "free on your birthday" thing works? I know she has to bring her driver's license but do we just walk up to the turnstiles?

Oh! And because we're not too fond of park food (aside from Red Rockett's Pizza & Tomorrowland burgers) I'm taking her to White Water Snacks in the GCH. I know several of you ladies have been, how is it?

How sweet of you to take your mom! I love white water snacks because it is nice and quiet. We like to sit outside and feel the cool breeze while watching the jungle of green fern sway. Just the other day we saw a ferocious kitty cat come out ..she came over and sat on the other side of the fence.. i gave her little bits of my chicken fajitas.

Something super yummy that i have only found at white water snacks is the fruit tart. It has a thin pastry crust which inside is lined with a crisp chocolate then filled with a light creme pudding and beautiful berries with kiwi fruit is laid on top and glazed. This is soooooooooo YummiLicious! We wish we had taken one back to the room.

The beef fajitas are also good there, they will give you some extra nacho cheese if you ask for it.

My mom and i shared a chocolate caramel sundae on mainstreet, it was soooooOOOooo good and a fun memory made, be sure and get the waffle bowl.

Let us know, 'K?? I remember that we were told we would get the DIS ladies rate UNLESS the EC rate came up, then we would get whichever was the better price (so $84.50 vs. $69 - although I was charged only $59 for the EC rate on Monday and Tuesday.......)

Ok you guys were WAY too chatty last night for me to remember everything but DAWN sooo good to see you back and it was SO good to meet you and your mom as well but as I told you I was so sad not to get to really hang with you at all and hopefully NEXT year we will get to do that more. I am sure that now that you have done most of the tours there will be more time for that next time. I have pretty much done all of them and hopefully you have now too!

Linda - That woman was a NUT job. You SO do not look PG! Not even close. And to me you don't even look like a size 14. I am a 10 and you don't even look bigger than ME to ME. Plus that is just plain RUDE to even say that to someone. The rule is if you DON'T know for sure DON'T ask or say anything. STUPID!! Don't even worry cuz you DON'T look that way. That woman is an idiot!

And about those cupcakes! AHHHHH! I wanted one of those sooooo bad. Beth I saw yours. Jealous much???? I bought the girls some of those mickey caramel apples and of course the little butt heads ate all of them before I even got so much as a bite but I am having me one of those cupcakes when I go next month.

I can't believe I am going to be BACK in the holy land 3 weeks from tomorrow. It is nuts!

I seriously doubt I will make Oct. We have a lot going on and mom really wants us to go on a cruise so any money that IS going to be saved will go towards that. We usually try to take a vacation in summer after the girls swim ends and it is USUALLY Disney but this year she wanted to do something different so we have been looking on that discounted website and she wanted to do a Mexican Rivera but I have been to Mexico twice so I want to go to the bahamas or something so we are seeing if we can get a cheap last minute one. Who knows if it will even happen. Everything would have to fall into place. We may not do anything. But I DEF want to do the next BIG ladies trip for sure and that is probably when I will buy my next AP and then NEXT summer is when Shane and I and the kids want to take our big road trip. So those are MY big vaca plans. And I am hoping if I buy my AP for the ladies trip in 10 that it will last for the 11 trip!

Anyway off to a girl scout site sale at noon and then to see witch moutain! See you gals later!

I am really glad we did the Walt's tour.. it was so special for my mom and i love the pretty pin from it.

And you know what.. if we had not done the VIP tour we would have not gotten to go on the Lilybelle.. and met Vern.. that was one of the highlights of the trip.

Kelly.. have fun at the girlscout thingie.. my granddaughters are going to a brownie party today.

Next trip i'm planning some down time to just visit and chiLLaX with friends

this thread is busier than it was BEFORE the trip...lol.

You girls are crazy!! Can you believe it's only been a week since we were in DLR? I came back right into the daily grind of home, work and school. Next year just can't come quick enough!!

I took advantage of the ent rates and made 2 reservations for Sept (one for the LD marathon weekend and one for the D23 weekend). Not sure if I will go for the second one but figured it didn't hurt to hold the room. I also reserved a whole week that will run over Oct 23-25. Thinking I will try to do a kids trip that week and catch some of you as well. We also hope to make a weekend trip sometime in late April or May but I'm not sure when yet.

Love!! all the pics and so happy dates are up! I am hoping we end up in late Feb or March as we are planning to go to WDW at the end of Jan so I need to be home at least a FEW weeks before justifying another girls trip..lol...but you all are so much fun I may have to change the WDW dates if the earlier weeks win the polls.
