I still have not recovered from that giant bruise on my leg from the week before divas and it is a large knot and the brusing is there.

Laurie, that's not good. Not good, not normal, etc. You've got to have someone take a look at that, OK?

I think if there was just a knot, but no bruising, it wouldn't worry me so much...my mom and brother were playing catch once and she didn't catch and the ball hit her and she ended up with a bump that never went away from that, but if it had remained bruised, that would have been scary.

the good news from here is that kitty is doing much better--back to his usual self--into everything (right now I'm having to crane my neck to be able to read the screen . . . .and now he's crawling on the printer) so, I think the third doc's the charm! I'm so excited that the MouseAdventure girls will get to meet him (the other one will be under the bed)

Speaking of injuries, I smashed the very end of my "bad" finger into the cabinet today, and it's so painful! The finger is shorter than normal b/c the end was taken off in a door incident when I was 11, so the bone is *right* there, and ouch ouch ouch.

Even though we're not easter-people, we dyed some eggs today, it was fun. Then E wanted a hunt, so we created one for him, and he insisted on two. And then he wanted to hide them too. His first egg hunt! And then we had egg salad sandwiches for dinner.

And lastly, Robert went and watched Sound of Music yesterday, and...now I've gone and started to like the movie! I've never ever been a fan, not ever, made fun of "the hills are alive" very rudely for years...and I caught myself singing "how do you solve a problem like Maria" today. Darn that Robert!

I mean, what's next? Watching Titanic or something unthinkable to us???? Where does it all end....

OK typing ... hurts my "now even worse" finger so I'm going to stop now.

Bumpershoot thanks for caring. The week of the Divas saw me pretty sick including missing the character breakfast because of wheat in nachosm in fact that whole month was a string of wheat and food allergies. I heal slowly when I have wheat reactions but am much better now. It is slowly going away so I will not worry for now.

I have to wait until Tuesday to get my used scooter and the seat is a torn up from wear and tear but I can duct tape that.

Morning all. I was supposed to work today but I am going to stay home and "try" to get caught up on my mounds of laundry and other stuff from vacation and stuff I was doing before we left and go in tomorrow instead. It appears mom has to show property today anyway so it was pointless for me to go in anyway. I have SO much to do it almost seems dauntless. I am SO tired and wish I could just take a nap all day! The girls kind of got colds while we were there and everyone is just exhausted. I will be honest I wish swim was bit quite yet because we all could use a bit of a break still to get caught back up and I am a bit worried about them swimming while they are sick and then being tired and on and on but I don't want them missing anymore since they already missed a week and we have time trials already in just a few weeks. It is going to go quick!

Anywho I am hoping to at least get SOME stuff accomplished today. Shane is hearing from Lynn now everyday which is good and bad I guess. I am totally disgusted with the whole situation. She acts like nothing was ever wrong. His mom is COMPLETELY oblivious to the whole thing and let's just say it is not that good of a situation up there either. None of them work and they all just lay around all day. They sleep all day and stay up all night. Her husband (who is my age mind you and doesn't work) has a son who is Lynn's age or a year younger and going down the same path. Is into drugs and I am sure Lynn is in hog heaven up there cuz she is RIGHT in her element with those people. She calls her dad every day and acts like everything is hunky dory now and nothing is wrong. I don't know it just amazes me that she thinks that after EVERYTHING that she put everyone through this last three weeks she can just call up all bubbly and act like all is well while she sits up there and doesn't go to school and just waits for this dude to come "take her away". We are finding out more and more everyday to that I think SHE is convincing HIM to do this. Now we find out that he borrowed the money from his sister. He is now DRIVING out not flying to get her and that she is getting a job in the mean time to help "pay" for stuff. I was like what STUFF. All you need is a license. You don't need rings or anything else. You can get married in jeans. She also bought a rabbit which REALLY annoyed me because A where did she get the money and B she will just kill it cuz she NEVER took care of any of OUR animals when she lived here!

Anyway Shane's mom was going to try and convince her to stay up there and I was going to tell Shane to let his mom have legal guardianship until she turned 18 if she liked it there but she has her mind made up and everyone we have talked to said just let her do it because otherwise it is just going to be a round and round revolving door of her running away. The cops do nothing and until she is 18 we are responsible for her actions so if this is the only way we can break the ties and let her do what she wants to do then so be it. May sound bad but then she will be an "adult" in the eyes of the law and she will be responsible then for what she does. She flat out told us she will keep running otherwise and it is not like we can chain her down. The minute we get her home she said she would just keep running away. It is a NO win battle. And believe me we even thought about committing her to some type of hospital but they wouldn't even do that because she was too "lucid" when they picked her up and didn't have any drugs in her system or seemed irrational. She KNOWS how to play the system. So we have to let her do what she's going to do. She has to make her mistakes and hope that it doesn't cost her dearly!

Anyway I hope everyone has a good day and I am off to take the girls to school and do all my chores.

Beth, we are taking the coastal route, so I will be thinking of you as I pass Pismo Beach!!!

I am up for any kind of party. Love the Pirate Princess idea!!

I love that movie. My mom was a fan, so I grew up watching it. That, and Gone With The Wind. And what's wrong with Titanic?? Other than stupid Rose should've just stayed on the life boat and let Jack take care of himself, and meet up with her later.

Wow, that's surprising about your sister and her chemo. So what does that mean? Are there other treatments?

My house is so quiet. Everyone is back at work, back at school. I hate it. I get used to having the noise and then I miss it. Oh well, summer will be here before we know it and then it will be noisy every day!

Morning ladies! Hope you are all having a good day so far.

I was in a cleaning mood yesterday (after the Easter morning chaos had died down that is) and scrubbed my whole kitchen, cleaned the stove, the oven, emptied the entire fridge (food, shelves, drawers, everything) and cleaned that, etc.
I was sore last night, but it's so nice to have that all done!

This morning I woke up early and cleaned the bathrooms, did some dusting, and some laundry. Now it's only 9:40 I'm ready to go back to bed.

Good Morning everyone and Happy Late Easter - I hope everyone had a great day! I have tried to read back and get caught up from the weekend but I am loosing the battle. I'm busy with work today and will reply more later but we had a great time at DL this weekend, crowds were managable...loved the GC!...spend 4 hours at the Burbank airport last night...I'm tired today and I want to take a nap!! And it's Spring Break this week and I am the 'babysitter'...working from home does have it's downfalls...I'll be back later. Yawn!!

My Mom still lives in Simi, and my brother and his family so I do get there from time to time. Will be there tomorrow for Easter.

How does your DBF like Palmdale? That's a bit of a joke because people who have lived here a while (17 yrs. for us) can't stand it any more.

I hope you had a nice Easter in Simi...we were back here around 2pm...we live in the 'Texas' track. Funny how they name their neighborhoods here!
Hmmm...I don't want to offend anyone who lives in Palmdale but DBF chooses to live in Simi and commute 1 hour each way to Palmdale instead of moving there...
