I wish! I am at work till midnight. Had a nice date with my dh today though. We went to the gym and worked out and then went into town to lunch at Red Robin (I had a birthday free burger to use) which was sooooo yummy! They even gave me a free birthday sundae! Then we went shopping as I needed some smaller shorts for my trip in September! I found a couple cute ones and then it was home to make the Cafe Orleans ressie for the mini meet in september and off to work.

Hi Gals,
I have not been online in about a week. After our Vegas trip and my mini meet with the Vegas Divas to celebrate Jane's Bday, I came home and packed the trailer and headed to the Ocean for 6 nights. We got back late last night and then this morning as we were putting things away, I got a call from my sister. Her ex husband, and my nephew's Dad committed suicide last night. We are all quite devastated by this news. The tragic waste of a life and a boy without a Dad. Please send your prayers. I have been crying with them all day and just got home a bit ago. My eyes, my head and my heart hurt. I don't know when I will get back on as there is much to do this next week.

I'm so sorry! My uncle commited suicide when my cousin was 13. He was remarried with 2 step-daughters, and my cousin lived in SoCal. My dad had to call her to break the news. That's just bad scene for everybody involved. Again, my condolences to your family.

Happy friendship day all! I've been a little under the weather. I think the excitement of the past few weeks is catching up to me. I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. I don't want to go into it too much, but I'm having some 'woman issues'.

Nathan's eval went well on Thursday. Thanks to those that kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We have to wait 2-4 weeks for the decision. So, I'm trying to be patient.

Not much else going on. Cheryl's dinner sounds wonderful.

I know I haven't been on a great deal this past week. I worked my behind off this past week while I was in Nevada...think 11-15 hours a day. I am so glad to be home with Josh and the kids. Today my body must have decided it needed to rest. I woke up at 9 this morning (I almost never sleep this long) and had a headache to go along with it. Josh brought my breakfast and lunch to me in our room. I didn't really get up until 3. I'm still pretty tired and my body is aching...I so don't want to go to work tomorrow.

Nope, it was back almost a month ago, but I just signed up for Red Robins birthday club and I guess because it was so close they gave me the coupon for the free burger...just had to be used by the 14th of this month so we decided to go there on our "date"! Thanks for asking tho!

So I don't think I told you all what happened friday evening while having dinner with my fil. He was asking my dh about his job search and how unemployment works when I asked dh if he had filed his claim which had to be filed by friday. Dh said no...he had thought that day was thursday and had been painting the house all day and hadn't done it. He went inside and checked and it had to be in 5pm for it to count so we basically lost the 400 he would have recieved for the week and might now be inelligible. Great, huh?

Tracey - I am so sorry! I can understand what you all are going through, my best friend's husband committed suicide when she was 6 mos. pregnant and they had a 3 year old. It was the worst thing that I have/had ever experienced. It was so sad and so difficult to try to make since of it all... two children without a father, my friend without a husband and as you said it is/was a tragic waste of life.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

A little bit of info for today: The first Sunday of August was declared as a holiday in the US in honor of friends by a Proclamation made by US Congress in 1935. Since then, World Friendship Day is being celebrated every year on the first Sunday in the month of August.


So to all of you wonderful Divas whom I am truly blessed to have the pleasure of knowing, Happy Friendship Day!!

I'm still awake!! Can't sleep. I think I am on a sugar buzz from the red velvet cheesecake Ruben surprised me with. I'd been wanting to try it since I read about it.
I posted this on FB, but I know not everyone is on there, so I thought I'd share it here too. If you haven't tried this yet, you must. It's two of my favorite things, red velvet cake and cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. YUM!!!

Oooo, I love RR. They are soooo good. Have you ever tried the garlic parmesan fries? They remind me of the pommes frites.

Oh no. I'm so sorry. What a sad loss for all involved. I'll never understand suicide.

I have to go to the doctor tomorrow. I don't want to go into it too much, but I'm having some 'woman issues'.

I've been through some of that myself and have an appt this week. Not looking forward to it. I hope you get more answers than I've had lately.

I am so glad to be home with Josh and the kids.

Morning all!

Beth I so agree about finding a nice place to "hang" next time we are at DL! I think even on the ladies trip it gets hectic like that and sometimes we need time to do that I know after the scavenger hunt last time a bunch of gals went off to do some stuff but mom and I just found a nice shady spot and did just that! We were hot and tired and just SAT! It felt great! LOL. And that cake looks good but WAY too rich for me. Makes my teeth hurt just to look at it LOL.

Tracey I am SO sorry for your families loss. That is such a tragic thing to have to go through and so hard for the people left behind to understand! Many prayers to all involved!!

Steph I am glad you had fun on your trip and hope you feel up to work today!

Heather I am sorry you aren't feeling well! I hope your doc apt goes well! Keep us informed!

I am STILL having a lot of pain. I am just besides myself. Everything that my doc gave me is STILL not helping. I know now that when I get back I am going to have to go to the specialist and most likely am going to have to have surgry or something to fix this but that doesn't help NOW. I am REALLY nervous about being able to even deal with a 6 hour plane ride when it is painful to even SIT for long periods of time. It is painful to sit, to stand to walk. I told Shane we may get there and they may be doing everything themselves and I may have a nice vacation in the hotel room. I have been popping pain pills like they are candy and they just barely take the edge off but not enough that I can really function or walk around for hours so I don't know what I am going to do. This is SO frustrating.

Oh well I guess I can just hope that I can get this resolved before our Oct trip!

Anyway I am off to work today and then tomorrow I have to do my last minute running around and print our boarding passes. UGH! I just wish this wasn't happening.
