Morning all!

Thanks Beth! Yeah I was bummed about the Statue. I should have known better but I honestly didn't think it would be THAT big of a deal but oh well. At least we get to go at all.

I woke up this morning and my back was TOTALLY fried from standing there in the sun. I am glad I am not going again today. As much as I would love to see Katy swim it is just TOO close to our trip to risk getting sick! That is ALL I need with everything else going on! Hopefully Shane will be able to find out today what they placed overall and I don't know if they will get any kind of awards for the two events she is in but I guess we will have to wait till we get back to get anything since he wants to leave right after she swims.

Anyway we are off to church here in a few for the wrap up from VBS. That is always fun. They put together a great big slide show of the entire week and then they put it online so we can get the pics if we want. It is always fun! Then I am not sure when Shane and the girls will leave to go to the meet but then tonight we were supposed to go to his cousin's house warming but I doubt we will make it to that based on what time he got home yesterday but who knows.

Anyway then I just have to work tomorrow and Tuesday I have to get all my last minute junk done before we leave!

I agree with everyone saying they wish they were in Disneyland. That sounds like fun!!

It is ALWAYS a good day to be at the happiest place on earth!

Just checking in real quick before we leave on our Road Trip. We're not leaving too early since we are stopping in Napa on the way up. My younger sisters husband is the manager at Double Tree so he was able to get us some rooms at the Embassy Suites in Napa for $30.

So we have about a 7-8 hour drive to Napa & then a 4 hour drive to Shasta. Wish me luck . I'm really looking forward to the trip, but I just hope I have enough entertainment for the kids.

I'm feeling like a little frontier land right now! The sight of the Mark Twail gliding past, riding on BTMRR, Billy Hill and the Hillbillies and whatever that show is that they have outside of the Golden Horseshoe with the mayors daughter! That one cracks me up! Ahhh to be in DL right now....oh well, only a little more than 6 weeks!

I'm still so incredibly sick. I couldn't leave the futon today except for the restroom and to fix food and get more water... until about an hour ago. The fever is back. Bleh. My dad said give the antibiotics a few more days and that the one he called in will work for both sinuses and kidneys.

I'm sorry. I hope you feel better soon. I hate being sick.

Nuh uh! I remember one day we were there and it was close to 100 degrees, and super crowded. On days like that, I could take a pass.

cold poached salmon
pasta salad
fruit salad
popovers with strawberry butter
brownie sundaes

and wine of course!

My parents and I are going to lunch at my grandparents, then I'm taking them to the book store to buy some books for all of us. We're a reading family.

My parents and I are going to lunch at my grandparents, then I'm taking them to the book store to buy some books for all of us. We're a reading family.

I just took the salmon out of the oven--yumm-o! I used some leftover white wine, salt and pepper and put fresh dill on top, then covered with foil and baked at 350 degress for about a 1/2 hour. now it's in the fridge getting cold! With some white wine (sorry Theresa--no Rosa or Magicale . . . although now that I think of it I do have Rosa in the fridge in the garage . .. . ). All the ingredients are ready to go for the popovers. But can't make them till noon. Then they rest for an hour and then it's go go go!

Afternoon Gals! Back from church. It was fun and nice to see the slideshow of how fun the kids had it all week!

Beth that is neat that you know that and what a fun day! Happy Friendship day to all my lovely new friends and Divas!!

Shane is about to head out with the three girls and I get the house ALL to myself! Can't wait! It is nice sometimes just for some alone time. I plan to just relax and take a nice long nap!!!

Oh and Beth I do agree sometimes it is really hot and crowded and that DOES stink BUT I love DL so much that even on those days I would just go find some nice shade, buy myself a cool drink or ice something or other and just sit and people watch. I must admit in my old age that sometimes it is fun just to be surrounded by my favorite place and see the sights, smell the smells, hear the sounds and just people watch. As much as I love to ride the rides and go go go sometimes it is nice to just sit back, relax and just take it all in!

Ah anyway I think I am going to go get started on my nap! Have fun everyone and see ya later!

So I'm having nother lazy day. Marty's been gone since Thursday, and I've just been hnging out. I cleanedte house, did laundry, etc. Plus I got a new lap top yesterday, so I've been playing with it. Last night I went to my SiL andher BF's place for dinner and drinks, followed by GuitarHero. It turns out I'm really pretty amazing after a few margaritas!

Trithfully, I could do that too. If we are ever there together on a hot, busy day, we'll have to find ourselves a bench and do just that.
