"Disneyland"

Disneyland, Disneyland, Disneyland
The Merriest Place To Be
It Was Thought Of By Walt Himself
For People Like You And Me
It's A Place Where You Can Become A Child Again
And Laugh The Whole Day Through
You Can Ride The Rides And See The Shows
And Even Take A Picture With Pooh
It's Said To Be The Happiest Place
And That I Know Is True
For It Was Thought Of By Walt Himself
For People Like Me And You

Just thought I would leave something to brighten everyone's day:flower3:

How sweet! Thanks for the smile Dawn. Oh, and I finally got to the soda lip glosses you sent me (I'm a lip gloss addict!), and I love it! I love how big the applicator is, and it tastes so great. I've been slowly using the things from my box. Next up is my Mickey Macaroni. I hate to eat it, then I can't look at it anymore! Just seeing the box makes me smile. :)

Darn Recession!:sad2:
I think one would be hard pressed to find a family that hasn't been touched by the recession. Either directly or through a family member or friend, the recession is wide reaching.

So true, I think everyone I know is under stress. Even the 'rich' doctors at work are having a hard time because people just aren't have elective surgeries right now. It makes it hard on all of us becuase then they don't need all of us nurses around. DH was called off from work again today. OUr vacation times is being eaten up by the economy! pirate:

Thank you!! I could use a little Disney magic today. An escape from the reality that is taking over right now.

Not to depress anyone, but I got my mammo results back today. Not that I understand any of what was said to me.
They found fibroid glandular density (or something like that) in both breasts and an asymmetrical nodular area. What that means, I have no clue but it's freaking me out. All I know is they want me to go back for spot compressions and an ultrasound.
I was so upset I started crying on the phone like an idiot. Especially when she started giving me names and numbers of breast surgeons to contact.

My mom had breast cancer and this has just got me all upset. I am only posting this because it's all new to me and if any of you understand any of this or have been through anything like it, please shoot me a PM. I'd really appreciate any info or advice.
Thanks. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Beth, I pray everything works out ok. It is so scary. I know a diva that could help you with info, but she is on vacation right now. Be kind to yourself.

Hugs and prayers for beth:hug:

Thanks cristabelita for providing her that link.

Oh Beth  How scary! But I totally agree with Cristabel, they just want to do more checks to make SURE it isn't anything to be concerned about. Good for them for being on your side and doing their best to look after your health and good for you for going in....if for some horrible reason it is cancer at least you know and may be able to do something about it. Waiting on things like this is never good. So I am sending you prayers and pixie dust:wizard: When do you go back in?

Sarah

I hope everything turns out ok.
Thank you.

Beth, with all that said, I don't want you to freak out just yet because it may very well be nothing.

I am praying hard for you, though! I will also add you to my prayer requests at church bible study tonight.

Here are the links

NetWellness Ask an Expert: Fibroglandular density
Aw Cristabel, thank you for the links, and especially for adding me to your prayers. That means a lot. I just worry more because of what my mom went through, kwim?

Beth: I just PM'd you too!
Thanks Cheryl.

Beth - you will be in my prayers and please try not to worry. You have motivated me to make an appointment for a check-up. Haven't been to the Dr. in over two years now!
Thanks. And yes, make those appointments! I waited far too long. I won't even say how long. :sad2: And it's stupid really. I mean we have all these tests and technology to find things and treat them early, but they don't help if you don't get in there.

I still don't know what will happen, and I still have some other results I'm waiting on, and truthfully it's easier to not know, but in the end, I'm glad I've made all these appts and am getting caught up on all these tests. Whether the news is good or bad, it needed to be done.

Next up, dental work!! :scared1: But one problem at a time. LOL

:grouphug: Beth, I pray everything works out ok.
Thanks. I appreciate it.

Hugs and prayers for beth:hug:
Thank you.

LOL Now you sound like Ruben. He said the same thing. He was glad they wanted to investigate more and find out for sure what's going on.

I have to go back for spot compressions (doesn't THAT sound like fun?) and an ultrasound, but I don't know when just yet. They have to get the approval from insurance first. Hopefully I'll be able to set up an appt soon. Thanks for asking.

OKay, so not to go even more off topic than I already am, lol, but I am going bathing suit shopping tonight. This is huge news. Huge, and I'm not just talking about me. haha
I haven't worn a swim suit in at least 12 or 13 years. That's right. I haven't been swimming in that long either. If we go to the beach, lake or pool, I usually sit out while everyone else goes in. Even when the kids would practically beg me to swim with them, I never would.

Well, it's the twins birthday tomorrow and we decided to do a "staycation" here in Vegas and get a hotel and do some touristy things like take them swimming, to Chuck E Cheese, Shark Reef, Rainforest Cafe, etc.

I wasn't planning to go swimming, but darn it, I've decided to say screw it. I don't care how I look in a suit. I don't care what anyone thinks of my fat white legs. I don't care if I'm surrounded by 20-something Barbie dolls. I want to swim with my kids.
Life is too short and I'm not going to sit on the side lines anymore and not do something just because I'm too worried about what some one else, some stranger for pete's sake, thinks of how I look.

So tonight when Ruben gets home, I am off in search of a swim suit. :cool1:

If I don't chicken out that is......... :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

NO CHICKENING OUT! If I did it you can too--I actually wore my bathing suit in Vegas (of course, it was at night, and I didn't actually go IN the pool, but still, I had it on)

Good luck with those exams. Sending much pixie dust your way! :wizard::wizard::wizard: I think you're going to be just fine. But DO get all the tests to investigate.

As to your decision to swim in a bathing suit...AMEN SISTER!!! Of COURSE you MUST! If anyone gives a hoot what you look like, well that ain't nothing but their problem. Enjoy the water with your kids. And once we get you into a bathing suit, well I just see you getting all fit to get into the bikini!

And just want to report that Disneyland races are almost full. So if you have anyone has any desire to sign up, DO!!! Please DO!! You don't need to run; you can walk. I'm wondering if I'm going to be the only DIS Diva there at this point...SIGN UP LADIES!!!

Half Marathon: 96% of capacity
Family 5K: 94% of capacity
Kids' Races: 65% of capacity

Happy Wednesday peeps.:goodvibes

Bethy - Oh sweety, I know it's scary, but I know of several ladies whom have had the same results as you, and it turned out to be nothing. However, because they have dense breast tissue, they happen to ALWAYS get questionable mammos and have to ALWAYS get a follow-up ultrasound. My lady friends who go through this every year say it still can make them a little nervous, but overall, it's mostly just become routine. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! :flower3:

Kelly - UGH is all I can say about the ongoing issues with Lynn. I really hope and pray that somehow she snaps out of all this destructive behavior.

We personally have also been HEAVILY affected by the recession......I won't say how bad though because it's just too difficult.

But I'll say this......I feel so fortunate to have such wonderful, caring friends!

Beth I am sooooooooo proud of you about the swim suit! No one is going to think anything about it and you need to have a great time and enjoy your kids and give them great memories! You go girl! Post a pic of the suit you get, K?

Sarah

YAY Dawn for booking the airfare!:cheer2:
Kelly & Janelle, I hope you can find a fabulous fare, too.:)

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

It's my lunch hour and my co-worker and I were watching the MJ memorial. It is so sad. Usher was really upset when he sang. I hope I can see the whole thing uninterupted on TV tonight.

My youngest daughter, not Sarah, went to the memorial. She talked to people who had came from all over the world. She said it was just amazing to be there.

NO CHICKENING OUT! If I did it you can too--I actually wore my bathing suit in Vegas (of course, it was at night, and I didn't actually go IN the pool, but still, I had it on)
I missed it! Well, next time, you and I will put on our suits and go for a swim, or better yet, a dip in the jacuzzi. :thumbsup2

First, thanks for the good wishes, and the updates on the races. I HOPE you won't be the only Diva there.

As for the bikini, that almost made me choke. :lmao: I needed that laugh. But I agree, if they don't like what they see, they can look elsewhere. There will be no shortage of eye candy around a Vegas pool in July, that's for sure. lol

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers! :flower3:

Thank you. I appreciate it. And hugs to you over this stupid recession. I hate how it's affecting so many friends and loved one.

I agree with you about this group of friends. What would I do without y'all. :grouphug:

Post a pic of the suit you get, K?

Sarah
Uh sure. Just not with me in it. :rotfl2:

I bet! That's really something that she got to go. What a memory to have.

You missed it cause you were getting your groove on at OG!:thumbsup2

Afternoon gals! I am back from my third and last apt. It wasn't TOO bad although just like I thought I DO have to have the colonoscopy! BLEH! Although it won't be QUITE as bad as the Barium test in that although I have to eat nothing but clear liquids the day before I don't have to do the drano deal that night so hopefully at least I will get some SLEEP! And then I can actually have water the next day. I think that is what did me in the last time. Not only was I up half the night going to the restroom but I got SO dehydrated and then couldn't have ANY water even from midnight on. I drink a LOT of water and that about killed me. That and the fact that I couldn't take my test till almost NOON!!! They wanted me to do it at 11 again and I said NO WAY so now I am doing it at 8:30 on the 29th. It is during vacation bible school which I really didn't want to do anything that week and also it is one week before we leave for our trip but I just want to get it over with!

He said that he saw some tears and things but wants to make sure there is no cancer. UGH! I just want to stop being in pain! I am just glad that all my apts are over with.

Anyway thanks so much Dawn for those links. That boys town one sounds awesome. I am going to talk to shane about that when he gets home. We are pretty much up in the air about WHAT to do with her until we go to the probation hearing next Tues. Until we find out what THEY are going to want to do with her we are not sure what the next step is. I am positive she is going to be on SOME type of probation but she was never officially put on either formal or informal because they moved it up to Sutter county when she was living with his mom. Now that she is back here it was moved BACK here so we shall see what they say. I just know that probation officer said she would NOT be happy if it came back to her so it shall be interesting. But I think the military COULD be a good thing and they might even like the idea but she doesn't even have a diploma so she would have to get THAT first. I just don't know what the next step is but I DO like the idea of the boys town. I wish she would go talk to my therapist because she REALLY needs therapy!!! Her supposed boyfriend JUST dumped her and wouldn't even bring her up here. She already hooked up with yet ANOTHER guy and he gave her train fare and so we are picking her up at the bus station tonight at 10. She is getting train fare to Stockton and then taking the bus from there to here. Our bus depot is REALLY bad. Lots of homeless etc. NOT a good place to be esp at night. SCARY!

I don't know maybe we can convince her to finally go to counseling since she will be here although I know when she went with our pastor she got NOTHING out of it. But honestly she needs to be medicated. She can't be without a guy for more than 5 seconds and she hasn't been with any ONE guy for more than a few weeks. It is really sad AND scary! Not to mention the addictive behaviors etc. Those are all classic Bipolar 1 symptoms.

Anyway I thank you ALL for listening. You guys are the BEST!!! I don't know WHAT is going to end up happening but I thank you all for just listening and being my friends!! :)

And to Beth, ((hugs)) and many prayers. I have only had one mamo so far and there is no breast cancer in my family but I know until I got my results I was scared too. I can only imagine how frightened you must be. I am sure it will all turn out ok! I will be praying for you! And go have a BLAST with your daughters and happy birthday to them!!! Who cares what anyone thinks. Just have a GREAT time tomorrow!!!

Beth, I'm so glad you are getting a swimsuit! :thumbsup2
I usually buy a two piece tankini and I bought mine this year from JcPenney. I've also bought a bathing suit from Torrid. It was really cute! Right now is a good time too because they must be having 4th of July sales and "end of summer" sales.

I never understood that! I'd go out to get a new bathing suit because the first one had already worn out and they had FLEECE JACKETS up for sale? Don't they know we live in SO. CAL and we never have weather cold enough for a fleece jacket?

Oi Vay!

Miss Beth is getting a bathing suit! Yay:cool1:
Cristabel, I get the two piece tankini's too, I like them better than a one piece because my bum is always covered and I don't have to shave. Of course when we go to Hawaii, I shave because we are in suits all week, but a one or two day beach wear day....no. Maybe TMI for you ladies, sorry. I just got one on sale from Land's End. I love their stuff, great quality and fits me well.

I read this as you had a hairy bum....

I think I have been studying too much today.

Oh Lordy No!:lmao:
In fact I am pretty hairless everywhere, especially my bum.
Sorry, Deb!

Hello, Tag Fairy? Are you reading this?

I also have a couple of Lands End Tankinis. They totally lock and load me, plus they make it easier to take potty breaks!

Beth--my thoughts and prayers are with you. :grouphug: Please keep us posted.
