Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday.

It's my lunch hour and my co-worker and I were watching the MJ memorial. It is so sad. Usher was really upset when he sang. I hope I can see the whole thing uninterupted on TV tonight.

I watched the entire thing ...it was very moving. I was never a huge MJ fan but what an impact he made on the world. I remember bawling my eyes out when I was younger over the whole We are the world days....just seeing everyone come together like that was just amazing. It just really makes you wonder what the world would be like if we all could make that kind of positive impact , even if very small...just something. I would love to be remembered like that.

Did ya'll read on the southwest promo that it's 30 for a certain distance..i think 400 miles... then 60 for 401 to something... and 90 for the final mileage..

Wow those SW airfares are great! I really want to fly somewhere now! I was checking for a RT ticket from Burbank to Vegas and it would only cost me $60! I wish the purchasing window was longer because I don't have money right now.

Dawn that is great that you were able to take advantage of the SW deal. I looked a month later for Baltimore for example and sure enough if we could have flown in Sept or Oct it would have been 90 each way. HUGE difference. We paid almost 200 each way. EEK!

But of course we can't go THEN cuz the girls are in school. And as far as OC is concerned the only time they have the cheap fares is a FEW days in Sept and Oct. You have to fly during the week. I am glad you were able to save money though. That is great news! I had already bought my tickets anyway but I was hoping maybe would could get a credit or something. Oh well.

I am just glad we are going at all!

What a cute baby! We used to raise exotic shorthairs which are short haired persians. They have such a sweet disposition.

She's very sweet compared to some of the kittens I've had. No bitting or scratching and when you pick her up she doesn't fight to get away.

My sister got to attend the funeral today. Her boyfriend's brother won tickets and his wife just had a baby and my sister's BF had to work so she lucked out.

I just purchased my October tickets from SW. $30 down and $79 back. With taxes and all, it ended up being about $130 rt. Now I just have to keep checking to get a lower return flight.

I watched/listened to the memorial while I was cooking today. I thought is was very moving, especially when his daughter spoke.

Hi Ladies! Sorry I haven't had much time to check in. We're here on Whidbey and staying at my dad's house. The truck with all our stuff arrives tomorrow morning so we can start the process of moving in.

Obviously I've missed out on a lot, but I am curious about some trivet that Tina got that I am sure has something to do with OUR boyfriend! Anyone want to fill me in on what I missed?

I'm sure I'll be busy again with the unpacking for another week or so, then hopefully I'll be back at it here on the Dis again!

I am watching right now, because I was in my CNA class all day (AIDS training made me so sleepy....the videos...) but anywho I watched it online, only the daughters parts.

I am not an MJ fan, not even when I was younger, but watching his daughter totally broke my heart & made me teary.
It was so great that her Aunt Janet was there hugging her. That was so heartbreaking. Those poor kids.

Once again, I have not read back...so I am soooo lost. Any new info? I guess I can take my lazy behind to the front page.

Soooo, I am just sitting here getting some of my finals done. Yes, finals. I am getting my Associate's on July 12th. Woot!Then I start my Bachelor's on July 28th. 18 more months and I will be a teacher.


Debra---I don't get any good deals either. I was looking at Boise to Orlando. THAT is tempting! I have never flown to Orlando for less than $350 RT.
