*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

When do you guys leave for Vegas? Your my type of girls! Wish I would of signed on sooner!

Some of the gals are arriving on Saturday, some on Sunday and two on Monday for a fun "Girls Night Out" that will last all day, all week long.

I cannot wait! And there's already talk of making the Vegas trips a regular thing too, so you never know. Those who missed this trip, keep an eye out in the future.

As my FB friends know today is my birthday. Nothing special today - hopefully can get out of fixing dinner. I am turning 39 for the first time!
Just wishing I lived closer to DL so I could get my Gift Card. Oh well.

I must admit I am sooo jealous of you all going to Vegas! Have fun and take lots of pics!

DH has had some serious issues lately with his tummy. Well after quite a few doctor appointments it looks like he has an hyperactive bladder. He has to have it taken out next Thursday. Does anyone have any experience with this? Like what is the recovery time and how painful is it? Thanks! The surgeon made it sound like it was no biggie, but Brent is a little scared...as am I. He is a bit of a baby when it comes to being ill, and this is much bigger than a cold.

January: they're taking out the entire bladder? I thought that was something you needed? Unfortunately I am not familiar with this surgery.

Hey January. I'm sorry to hear about Brent. Unfortunately I don't know much about that particular procedure, but I'll be thinking of you both. I hope it goes smoothly and his recovery is quick.
If you are both nervous, you need to call the doc back and insist he answer all your questions. Sometimes they are in such a rush and it's routine to them, but they need to know how nervous y'all are.

It's dark in the casinos, no windows, so no one will notice how you look. And besides, everyone starts drinking at 9 a.m. so you'll probably be looking pretty darn good to most folks.

Well you girls have a drink maybe two or three well you get the idea for me. I would definitely go next year if Vegas is a go! Always thought it would be fun to go see the chipendales and thunder down under and determine the winner of the USA vs Austrailia. LOL

Have they tried him on any medications? I know thats what we do with our female patients in the ob/gyn clinic I work in. Never heard of having the bladder removed.

We're going to miss you. We have two Vegas virgins this time, Wendy and Theresa. It's so fun showing someone around who's never been here before. Most people either love it or hate it. Hopefully everyone will love it.

January--I just had a thought. Is your DH having his "gall bladder" removed?

If so, this is quite common--I had mine removed several years ago. The gall bladder essentially helps you process fats. Unfortunately you can produce stones in your gall bladder that then pass through the bile duct and can cause pain. (I know.)

These days--if all that's being done is gall bladder removal--they can do it laparoscopically and the recovery time is pretty quick. Afterwards, he shouldn't have too many food restrictions, but may have to watch it on eating fatty things for a while.

I'm about to call RFC to make my reservation. I'm going to do 6:30 and for those of us who play in the park before hand, I suggest we head for DTD around 5:30-45ish and hang in the bar area so we can put the name in right at 6:30. So far I have, Cheryl, Donna, Stacie, Katie, Vicki, Linda, Michelle, and me. Is that right?
