*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

Hi Girls! Thanks to all of you who sent happy thoughts my way. The meeting today with Jack's social worker went well. He is approved now we just need to wait to hear for how much. It could be a couple of weeks - I hate playing the waiting game.

Did you guys hear that they weren't letting people into DL for awhile today? Wow! I can't even imagine how busy that was! Rayna, who was with me at the past Ladies only trip, was there today with her family. She did do a FB status update that she was in a long, long line!

I am tired - today has been a mentally draining day. I'll try to get on tomorrow!

We're back from our Alaska cruise and had a fabulous time. It was very beautiful and relaxing. And all that pampering. A full time room steward, three meals, shows every night, so much to do (or not!) and constant scenery. I am sad it is over, but glad to be home. Will post pix probably next weekend.

I missed my Diva girlfriends! I read back ten or so pages, but am still getting back into the swing.

I really wanted to wish all the Vegas girls a great time. I can't wait to hear all about your trip and will be thinking of you.

Bella had puppy class again tonight--and again acted up the entire class. Sigh. This is not going to be easy. Sophia the Lab just sitst here looking prim and proper. The other puppy is a scaredy cat--Bella? Bark bark bark, strain at the leash, run over to the other puppies, ignore the treats, try to interfere when the other puppies are getting trained . . . . anything she can think of! And of course it doesn't help that everyone walking by is like "oh is that a Corgi? Oh, she's so cute, oh . . . . . " she's getting a big head! LOL Of course, there was the one lady who said--"oh is she a Dorgi?" and the teacher was like "there's no such thing" and the lady indignantly said, "there most certainly is--it's a mix of a Dachsund and a Corgi!" LOL it was funny. Anyway, once I get back from Vegas Bella and her puppy classmates are going to have a playdate at the dog park. So that will be fun (and hopefully tire her out!)

Well of course Sophia the lab sits there all prim and proper. She is a trendy dog with a trendy name. Duh - Miss Boring, Boring. Seriously, Bella is the spunky and fun one - like you!

CheryL... ohmygosh..You could write a little book for children about this experience with BeLLa! It would be so cute, take someone with you to take some pictures of her at the class.. write notes of what she does and what the other dogs look like and their names and personailities.

Linda good to have you back! Glad you had fun! I have always wanted to do a cruise and esp an Alaskan one. Sounds like a blast! Ah one of these days!

Mel VBS sounds like fun. My girls will have theirs the end of July. Our church has a really big one so they really look forward to it. Have fun with yours.

Cheryl sorry Miss Bella is giving you grief but we all know those kids of ours I am sure she will get with the program eventually and hey how can you be too mad at something that cute

Don't have much on the plate today. Just have to take my cat to the vet to get her annual shots and I have her trapped in the house so I can get her in the ol cage and she is NOT happy bout it LOL. She is running around like a chicken tearing up the rugs etc. I think she knows what's coming LOL. Plus I have to buy more flea stuff and heart worm stuff so I will be forking out about 200 bucks OUCH! Hate these visits! Plus I have to take Katy to Walmart as she is invited to a friends birthday party tomorrow night. They are having a movie night tomorrow night so I have to get a gift still. Expensive week this week!

Mom has been calling every day from Mexico and they seem to be having a good time. Yesterday was their 46th anniversary. So they had a really nice dinner and mom said dad bought her a nice gift so she is having a nice time. They will be home this Sunday.

And as for US, we got an e-mail that there is a tour about Disney's new Christmas Carol movie going around the US and it happens to be in our town this weekend so we thought that would be a fun thing to do for Father's day so we are going to go see it this Sunday. It is going to be at our local Rail Road museum. So that should be fun! They are going to have props from the movie and all kinds of fun stuff.

Hi All. DH found out yesterday that they are closing his store...and get this. They are closing his store next monday! 1 week. Supposedly they are keeping him on to maintain the website but who knows what the pay will be or the hours. I am stunned but at the same time kind of excited. We have hated the hours he has had to put in and all of that for years. Now things will change and just maybe that will be for the better! We have family in the area and some savings plus he should be able to get unemployment if the web site thing doesn't work so we should be ok whatever happens.

Anyway, talk with you soon!

Welcome home and so happy to hear you had a great time! I love cruises but Bob does not but he said he'd humor me and go if I really want to go on one. I think he owes me with as many camping, hiking, rock climbing trips I've gone on with him...I do enjoy those things except for the rock climbing but it's nice to be pampered and have a real bed to sleep in too!

I am planning as of now to go to Bridgette's BD 'bash' and I am looking forward to meeting her and others that I have not met and seeing all of you again!

Cute picture! You both look so serious! I am horrible on Buzz. I am a bit better on TSM but not much. I did manage to beat my partner the last time we were there but then he was about 8 years old.... We did the single rider line and I think that is my best bet to beat whoever is riding with me. I can never beat anyone in my family's score.
