*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

We had crazy storms here in Indiana last week. I had a leak in my sunroof, and the water trickled down the inside of the frame of the car and flooded the drivers side on the floor. Crazy. I got it fixed though. What kind of storms? This might sound naive, but do you get tornadoes in WA? Here's a pic that my friend took a few weeks ago. This was right above where I live.

One thing I won't miss about the midwest.... tornadoes! I will, however miss the thunderstorms.

Wow, those are cool pictures. I love storms though.....my husband thinks I'm truly sick. He's grateful we don't live in tornado alley because he knows I would be out there chasing.

We get a few funnel clouds from time to time, and every once in a while they touch down and become a tornado, and although they can do some damage to roofs and such, they don't normally get strong enough or last long enough to do any major damage.....F1-F2 categories.

Hi ladies!

I hope summer is treating you all well. It has been raining here nonstop...it is really unusual for Boise to get this much rain, especially this time of year. So, I am running out of things to do with Madelyn. She is getting bored. The library and movies are not fun anymore. lol

It looks like we have another week (at least) of rain! Sheesh!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Ryan and Luke!!

I know its hard to think that Ryan will not have as many friends at the party. I think he will still have fun, I think it is probably harder on mommy than it is on him.

Well, I feel soooo out of the loop. I am never on the Dis or on Facebook. I am on the computer so often for ChaCha and school that I never venture far from those two places.

I will make more of an attempt to hang here more often.

I must say I am jealous that just about all of you have local divas from here to have meets and lunches with. I am allllll alone here in Boise. *boo*

You need to move closer to Spokane so you can meet up with Debra and I for lunch......either that or get a REALLY FAST CAR so you can be up here in just a couple of hours (speed limit shmeed limit.....damn the speed limit I say).

I hear you about school. That's all I seem to have time to do too. I'm on the darn computer all day, but I hardly have any time to do anything on the computer (like talk with my DisBoard babes) other than school stuff, check email, and pay bills. We need to get our priorities straight!

Oh my! I am glad I have never had to experience a tornado. DH used to see them a lot when he lived in Georgia. They get some crazy weather down there,

You can also get beignets at the Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD.

I've been to Spokane before. I had a lot of friends up at U of I and WSU. We would head into "town" (spokane) and go get burger's from Dicks. lol

I just wish it was such a loooong drive...I would love to see you all. Maybe I can convince DH to come up there with me and we can take Maddie to Silverwood and go visit you and all the other WA divas.

School is a PITA! My teaching advisor has been calling me. I have had no motivation to speak to her. I am getting AA in a few weeks and now I am getting all ready for my BS in Elem Ed. I am glad it is an 18 month program. If it was any longer, I might cry.

I took my Shag prints in today to get them framed, and yes, it cost more to get them framed than it did to buy them!! I even had a 60% off coupon on custom framing and it was still a little over $600!! I had the pictures of Cheryl's that Dawn posted so I could compare the mat colors and 4 are close to the same colors, 1 is different. When I get them back, I'll post pictures of them.

Now time to get stuff ready for Vegas!!

Of course! We always have room for more. Check the first page for activities, meals, etc. This is where updates are posted. Not too much is definitely planned yet as we still have quite a few months before the trip.

Speaking of OT matters--did anyone else note that they just opened the Stitch stage show at WDW and now they're thinking of closing it or changing it already? Talk about a waste of time, energy and money! Hey--WDI--give DL that money and let them upgrade that silly parade! Or re-open Vineyard Room. Or have the Electrical Parade back on Main Street!

Things have been busy for me too. I am still in such a job/kid's school turmoil, haven't been feeling all that chipper.

Still don't know if I have a job come September. So far, I have had my hours cut 25%. The market doesn't look good for finding a new job at this time either..

Bummer...my knee is feeling a bit better, but see the ortho on Thursday. Hopefully will find out quickly if surgery is in the works!!

Hope all have a good time in Vegas and all. I will get back on more when I am in a more giddy frame of mind.

Hi there!! And welcome!

You don't have to read the whole thread, unless you really want to. Right now it's mainly just a lot of chit chat. We have over 8 months before the next trip, so there isn't a lot of major planning going on right now. What little info there is at this point is on the front page, and that is where you will also find any new updates.

You can check out the pics on there, and the slideshow if you haven't already. And there are some trip report links from the last one we went on.

As for hotels, most likely we will have one onsite option, and one offsite option (HoJo Anaheim).

For special activities we will have a Meet and Greet the first night, as well as offer sign ups for tours (Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour, and the Segway tour), and we do group activities like pictures with the Princesses and such.

We also will offer at least one group meal per day. The nice thing about the trip is it can be customized to fit your needs. You don't have to do anything you don't want. It's not a tour group telling you that you have to be here at this time and do this.

We had a great time last time and I'm glad you are on board now. It's nice to have time to get to know everyone before hand and also to be around for all the planning from the start.
