*Girls DL Trip* OLD THREAD

Just dropping in to bring good thoughts to Cheryl, and Bridgette and Heather. Kelly, the photos are darling - the one of them in the matching nightgowns - so sweet. Sounds like you all had a great time.

After getting to see friends on Saturday, my DH and I totally redid our garage this weekend. Just like on those makeover shows, we took everything out, and cleaned it. When we were taking stuff out, I'd see something that I wanted to keep, but DH didn't.

He was smart, he didn't try to talk me out of it. Then after we made all our piles: keep, trash, recycle, giveaway, and "maybe," we started putting things back, one by one. I loved seeing the garage so organized. Then a magic point came where nothing was worth keeping from the "maybe" pile.

The major part is done and we just love it. I still have to go through some old files and a few tool boxes (I'm the handyman in the family), and figure out who to call to haul away everything. But every few hours I go and open the door to just look at the garage and smile.

PS - the game? I had to shut it off in the fourth quarter. Congrats, you nuggets fans... a big win.

Jane, I read a little about your job, and am sorry you're under so much stress. Move to Phoenix, and be close to Stacie, Callie (for now!), and I. I pray that it will all work out as quickly as possible.

Donna, your garage cleaning sounds like fun....call me crazy! I would have loved to sit in a lawn chair with a tall sweet tea, and watch my own, live HGTV clean house show! I'd be proud also, how cool.

Stacie, you're killing me with these trips. I want to live the rockstar life you do. Have fun, I so wish I could join you.

Kelly, Good Luck tomorrow. I hope things go smoothly. Great pictures, BTW! You girls and Michele's Zoe look so cute together.

Tina, I was also wondering where you did all the cooking. Your BBQ sounds great! I wish we could get together more.

I'm off to watch J&K. I said I wasn't going to watch anymore, but I can't stay away. IMHO, it's time for them to fade to a more private life, and let their children live normal lives. They seem to be too addicted to the celebrity of it all now though.

Just wonderin--what is Fairytale Town? The girls looked so cute in their matching nighties!

It is actually the cutest little place. We have this GREAT park downtown that is HUGE. It has a wonderful golf course, lake and our zoo and then across the street is this cute little place. It has been there for years. Not sure when it was built but I know it was there when "I" was a kid cuz I had my 6th birthday there lol. It holds a lot of fond memories and we have taken the girls there since they were babies and they just LOVE the place and I am sad to think that the days of them enjoying it are probably close to over since Katy will be 10 this year and I am sure it won't be "cool" too much longer although I have to say she still enjoyed it .

It is all based on fairytales and it has a bunch of slides and cute little things all based on the different fairytales. Like the old woman who lived in the shoe, mother goose etc. That cheese was from that poem and the cheese stands alone (can't think of the rest LOL). But they have some animals there that you can pet like "peter rabbit and his brothers and sisters flopsy, mopsy and cottontail" and it is just the cutest little place.

Anyway thanks to all who looked at the pics.

We are off here in a minute. I will post when we get back. I have to get my blood drawn and hopefully we are getting hair cuts as well.

Thanks for all of the happy get well thoughts. I'm at school right now but I might go to the immediate care center. It isn't kidney stones because I'm hacking up a lung and my chest hurts. I suspect irritation from my adverse side affect from the Topomax last week is the culprit. Hopefully it isn't bronchitis, but it probably is because of the fever. My spirits are good though

Look what a Great View CheryL got for us! Center to the monorail. It was so beautiful at night. I wish for everyone to have this experience of staying in such a beautiful hotel. I'm saving and saving to be able to take my parents here for christmas.

I'm sad that the photo i took of the shower curtain didn't turn out..it was so sweet. I Loved it.

So I watched John and Kate last night, and I just feel so sorry for those kids! The two of them didn't even look at each other during the whole bday party. The thing is, they made the decision to turn their lives into a business, and it is now their only source of income. They've now gor 8 kids, a giant house, and bills to pay. If they quit the show, I wonder how they would be able to support their family? So sad........

Well I'm off to the grocery store and to do a bit of cooking. Thankfully it looks like it won't be a very busy week, just our normal jobs, so I can finally catch up on my house. It's scary right now!!!!!

Hello everyone! Just a quick note before the speech therapist arrives.

Tina, I agree about Jon and Kate. It really saddens me to see what a wonderful family they have, and how they are on the track to distruction with it. I'm hoping that they will find the grace and peace needed to comeout of this ok. I even dreamed about them it bothered me so much. I knew shouldn't have watched it. *sigh*

Kelly, I've seen pictures on Fairytale town, and I want to say that it was on Miceage. They sometimes show other places in their updates. I think it got new paint in the last year of something. It did look really cute, and retro!
