I hope/know the Vegas girls are having a great time even though I'm not with them.

Kelly, that monkey stuff at Target is cute! I thought about getting it for the boys' bathroom. I just haven't been able to part with my money for it though.

Bridgette, I hope you are feeling better.

Steph, I'll look at your pictures tonight. Thanks for the heads up.

Tina-What do you have for me??? I saw on the exchange thread that you had something for me, and now I'm dying to know what it is. I bet it's something cute!

Not much going on here. I've been looking around for stuff for my exchange partner. It's fun!

Thanks courtney for the well wishes about the girls meet. Tonight they get to pick up their ribbons. We got the results and unfortunately Shelby got dq'd in her butterfly but oh well that happens sometimes. We aren't going to the meet this weekend and I am glad. I need a break. It is in Dixon. We would have to get up at probably 4 a.m. WHEW!

Wendy and Heather glad you liked the Monkey stuff. Isn't that the cutest!! You are right though all that bath stuff is SO expensive but SO cute! Our bath for the girls is SO small. We have a really tiny sink and small stall shower so I can't really decorate but it is so tempting if I DID have one. That stuff is adorable! But I def thought of Miss Wendylou on that Monkey stuff!

The girls and I will be heading out shopping probably tomorrow for the exchange stuff. I hope I can find lots of fun stuff! It will be fun just to look! I have to work today. But it will be nice to get out tomorrow to shop a little.

Last night mom and dad got back from Mexico but we didn't end up picking them up because their plane was delayed and they didn't get in till after 1 a.m. EEK! WAY too late for any of us. SHane has to be up at 4 for work and I can't see at night to drive (bad eyes) Esp that far away. Our airport is a ways from our house. So they had to get the shuttle. Anyway I have work today and then hopefully work out and shopping tomorrow and then Wednesday I finally have a follow up with my neurologist. I haven't seen him since that one time months ago. I am glad because none of my meds have been working on my migraines so I am hoping he can give me something stronger for when I DO get them. I don't know if I will have to take the girls or not and I am a bit nervous about going to his office cuz it is down town and where his office is they are doing all this construction and it is all tore up so it is a madhouse trying to park down there but we shall see. Then have nothing on thursday so hopefully the girls and I can get in another workout and then Friday just work again. Saturday they are opening our new Disney store at the Galleria here (I should say RE-opening as they remodeled it) and they are having Mickey and Minnie and are giving away mouse ears so we may try to go to that but otherwise we are going to try and just relax since we have NO meet for once and then next weekend is the 4th! Not sure what is planned yet but looking forward to another relaxing weekend hopefully!

Anyway hope all the Vegas Divas are having a blast and for those of us still around hope the rest are having a good day and week as well!

Good morning! It's quiet in my office this morning so I thought that I would swing by and give y'all a quick check in from Vegas.

I caught up with the other 6 girls that are here (Cheryl, Wendy and Dawn all arrive today) for dinner last night at Margaritaville. Apparently brunch had run late earlier in the day due to Father's Day, so ratther than meeting them at the restaurant as originally planned, I met up with them at the grocery store that is only a block from my office and hung out with Beth while the other 5 shopped. Then we ran back to the timeshare so that things could be put away and people could change.

We finally hit Margaritaville at 7:30 and had a table by 7:45, which wasn't too bad for that time of day. Sadly we were seated in the upstairs dining room, which isn't nearly as fun as the downstairs portion (which is highly themed and has stilt walkers, balloon artists, etc.). But, it didn't really matter as everyone (myself included) was just exhausted. Seriously we all just kinda ate and then sat there trying not to fall asleep. I took off after dinner at around 9:30, but the plan was for them to head home and my guess is that most of them were in bed by 10:30 at the latest!

Today they plan to hit M&M World, the Coke store and MGM for the lion habitat before heading to the Luxor and Excalibur for lunch at Dick's Last Resort. Then tonight I will meet back up with everyone at BLT Burger in the Mirage before we take in LOVE (the Beatles Cirque du Soleil show) and then hit Revolution (the ultra lounge that is also themed to the Beatles/Cirque partnership).

I Juicy purses and their jewelry. I went to the Juicy outlet in Camarillo last week but I didn't see anything I liked. They do have good sales though and sometimes they add an additional 20 or 30% off, which is really cool.

If you go to Nordstrom's website, they list some Juicy items that are on clerance. There is also a Nordstrom in T-Oaks.


I went back to the Disney Outlet in Camarillo yesterday with my little sister. I found 2 more t-shirts that I liked. The Donald one cracked me up.

I love it when you post good stuff. Where in the Camarillo outlet mall area is the Disney place? A friend said she didn't see it. I know there are three different malls there. I have to return a shirt for my dh at dkny soon.

I turn 21 this November and I plan on spending it at Disneyland I'll probably have a drink in DCA or something but what I really want to do is travel!

Ah, that's the way! Nothing like travel.

Thanks ladies, I don't think its something I ate because I have never had food allergies to anything I ate yesterday. I don't think it's nerves either.... they're everywhere! Now they're in my hairline and on my chest. My dad called me in some steroids and picked them up for me. I'm just taking lots of benedryl, which makes me so sleepy.

Oh, this sounds awful. I hope you get some relief and soon!

The Disney Warehouse is the in Target shopping center, the freeway exit would be Las Posas. It's next door to Ross and it used to be a Linen and Things. So if you're driving North bound, it's the same exit you would take as if you're going to the Camarillo Premium Outlets, but you will turn right instead of left like you would to go to the Outlets.

Well, my daddy is still in the hospital. They took more X-rays of his chest. His heart is quite enlarged, which isn't good, and his left lung still appears to have about 1 liter of fluid in it. So this afternoon they are going to drain his left lung with a needle/syringe or a catheter (I can't remember which they said). They are also going to test the fluid in the lung.....apparently it can tell them more about how the heart is functioning, but I'm not sure how exactly the fluid in the lungs can tell them that.

His heart is not pumping efficiently AT ALL, and because of this, the possibility of blood pooling in the lower chambers of his heart and forming clots is pretty high. This means he has high risk of having a stroke, so they are prescribing him blood thinners to help prevent the formation of clots from happening

Hopefully (fingers crossed) he'll be discharged tomorrow, but I have a feeling he won't get out of the hospital until Wednesday at the earliest. It's all pretty worrisome though. I don't know.....the doctors haven't come right out and said it, but I think my dad is in the final stages of congestive heart failure. I think their goal is to prevent further deterioration for as long as possible, but at some point, any preventative measures/medications aren't going to work. Whether we'll have dad around for a few more weeks, and few more months, or a few more years, is anyone's guess because the progression of the condition is different for everyone. I'm preparing myself though.

How are things going Donna? I know you've been busy lately. I've been thinking about you. I'm in the process of talking to my friend about our lunch plans. I'll let you know what I find out!

Capri, I'm sorry to hear that your Dad is still in the hospital and struggling. I almost lost my dad 2 years ago to cancer. It's awful to watch the man who has been a rock in your life be vulnerable. I pray that it all goes smoothly.

Oh, and Kelly, I forgot to tell you how much that story you posted about the little girl with cancer touched me. What a wonderful thing for them to do. The part that made me tear up was when they said that she couldn't even watch the movie, that her mother had to describe the scenes to her. I can't imagine.

Not much new going on here. I ordered a couple of things for my exchange friend. I hope she likes them...I do!
