IF you do, how do you appreciate your Cookie Moms?
As a leader, I was Cookie Mom last year, nobody else wanted to do it. This year I have a Cookie Mom and she has two helpers to get, sort and deliver the cookies. She also wants to have a cookie celebration when cookies are all done. How would you suggest showing appreciation for all their hard work?
Thanks! :)

we've given ours pedi & mani certificates in past years.

Usually the two leaders would chip in for a 25.00 gift certificate for the cookie mom in my troop. But since I am now leader AND cookie mom I get a pat on the head from myself and call it a day LOL.

Well, I'm a cookie mom in one troop and a cookie mom/leader in two troops.

Biggest way to appreciate me... turn in/pick up your stuff on time and don't make me hunt you down! :lmao: Oy, that makes me go ape!

One year, my co-leader had the girls make me a nice card... behind my back. That was way cool... still have it.

The only thing I ask as a leader is be prudent with the girls' money. In my service unit, they only make 56 cents a box. If as leaders you wanted to get a small token out of your own pocket, fine. But I would feel guilty accepting a $20 token from TROOP funds knowing that is like 40 cookies sold.... for some girls, that's their entire sale!

As also a co-leader in the two troops I can assure that the money is used wisely. We are frugal with it, and treat it with more care thann we would our own pocketbook. If we MUST buy things it is there, but if we can make do with what we have, borrow, or get donations we do that too.

Another troop I know, sometimes makes me sigh. The leaders act "generous" with troop funds, offering to reimburse parents for any little thing, get a cookie cake for a field trip "just because." And that bothers me because it isn't the leader's money to spend, it is the girls.

So be nice to cookie mom :lovestruc But if you must get a token to express your appreciation, be wise about the girls' money. They work so hard for so little.

I, personally, buy a gift card for my cookie mom at the end of the year. One year, when we had huge sales, I also got her a cookie mug from the council shop.

I was cookie mom for several years. I usually either got a Disney Themed gift basket, or a Disney gift card (yes they knew of my obsession LOL).
