Yesterday my son was invited to an old classmate's birthday party. He was invited via a text to my older son (he knows the little girl's older cousin). My son hasn't seen this little girl since last year in kindergarten. The party is today.

I'm guessing not very many kids could make it because it's spring break here this coming week. I completely understand and would like to help this little girl out, so I said my son could go. Plus, he'll have fun - it's at a indoor bouncy place.

I'm just not sure what gift to get her. I know nothing about her other than she's a spunky little girl. Feminine, yet outspoken. Oh, and she lives with her aunt and uncle who have two much older daughters (17 and 19). That's all I got.

Any ideas?

Littlest Pet Shop toys are very popular for this age. Those Nana pets (I think that's what they are called), the ones you couldn't get for Christmas are pretty wide spreadly available now, too. Art Supplies, markers, paper, colors, etc are good. Just be careful of the "kits". My dd got several at that age that were to complicated they went in the trash or they had to many small beads. (The jewlery making kits are "bad".) Board games, I like the classics.

Thank you. Maybe we'll do Littlest Pet Shop. My son also suggested a new Pixos thing.

More good ideas! Thank you!

Unfortunately we'll have to get the gift on the way to the party (getting ready to leave) and I won't be able to do my favorite gift wrap for a little girl - buying a pretty jump rope and tying it around the package like a bow. Maybe I could hang a pair of sunglasses or something off the gift bag. We'll see.

Thank you for your help, everyone!

My 7 year old like Littlest Pet Shop, anything crafty (fruity smelling markers/construction paper, pony beads, pipe cleaners etc), Barbie, Polly Pocket, outdoor sidewalk chalk & paint, zhu zhu pets, and gift cards. She likes being able to go to the bookstore and pick our her books with 'her' money (giftcard) or going to the movies. :thumbsup2
