Gird Card Questions...

I was planning on giving my kids each a gift card for souvenirs so they have a set amount and when it is gone it is gone.
Do all places take the cards? Including the Lego store?

I am also dining OOP rather than a plan but will also prepay a certain amount with gift cards just to help with budgeting. I plan on charging our meals to the room and pay that down each night or so with thd gift.
Will all resorts take the gift card for this?
Are there any restaurants QS or TS that will not charge to room?

Not all places accept Disney GCs as a form of payment, so it is best to ask before they ring up your purchase. I know that the Lego Store did not accept them when we were there many years ago, but on a more recent thread, I was told that they do. YMMV

All resorts will accept Disney GCs for paying off your room charges. Just make sure that you pay them off before you reach the spending limit for your resort level ($500 for values, $1000 for moderates and $1500 for deluxes). Once you hit your spending limits, they will charge your CC that you left on file and your room balance will go back to zero. Getting those charges reversed can be a pain in the butt, so just be aware of the limits and where you stand. The resort will also run your room charge through on your CC at midnight before your check out. So make sure that you stop by the front desk before then if you want to pay the balance with GCs.

All restaurants in the resort and parks will accept room charging for payment. Any restaurant that is on the dining plans will allow you to make charges to your room as well. Restaurants at the Swan and Dolphin do not participate and there might be a few DtD restaurants as well, but I'm not sure.

We have purchased Disney Dollars at the town hall in Disneyland. I'm not sure if Disney World carries them, but our kids loved them!
