Thurs Dec 16th

We were origianlly going to leave on the 18th so Avery did not have to miss any school. To fly out then would have been $300 one way. to fly out on Thurs it was $148 per way....I booked 2 nights at POP using my AP rate. The girls had always wanted to stay there and being DVC members it seemed like a good time.

Woke the girls around 630a fed them a little and off to the airport we went. Our big bag was under 50lb YAY Made it up to the counter and checked and paid for our bags-I missed flying Southwest. Had a little snack at the airport

Flight was uneventful-girls watched movies, read and eat some snacks. Arrived in Orlando 5 min early and headed to ME. We had to go the counter because we had never recieved our luggage tags. Do you know they scan EVERY piece of luggage that comes in??? Gave them my claim ticket and off to a bus we went. Waited about 10 min and then were off. Soon we saw this

Stopped at CBR first and then POP. Made our way to the online check in counter. I made no requests so was curious what we would get. Got our room number and off we went in search of it. Top floor, 50s in a refurb room overlooking the woods.. Yay, yay,yay. Exactly what I would have requeted.

Made our way to the food court for some dinner. WOW what a place. Not to crowded and the girls loved eating by the TV-not something we do at home. Wandered around the resort a little then made our way back for Stacy and bed. Tomorrow we were attempting our first rop drop. Would we make it???

Sounds like a good start!!! Did you check your beds at POP!?? We had bug critters in one of the beds that we checked when we were there in Dec! I've stayed there several times before than and never experienced such horrid customer service as I did a few weeks ago! I'm still debating whether or not to write a letter! Glad to hear your experience was better than ours!

Aw, your girls are adorable!! Is that hot cocoa that they were drinking?

Isn't it funny how excited and happy you get just by seeing that sign? My fiancee and I recently moved here and I made him get annual passes so we can go all the time and each time I see that sign I get all happy. LOL.

Who did you have to fly with that you had to pay for your baggage? I'm just curious, I've always flown Jet Blue and I didn't realize that other airlines were charing for each bag.

Thanks. I did and did not see anything. I am sorry about the service-ours was fine. I did end up with pink eye but have no idea where i picked it up. Made the first few days of the trip a little challenging. Sorry ur experience was so rottton.

It was nice, I was a little worried about the luggage but we got it in time for bed-I did pack theire jammies in the carry ons though I was happy with the room!!
