Giraffe Ranch in Dade City

If you're like many DVC owners, you've done the parks a million times and are looking for new places to enjoy. My DH and I found Giraffe Ranch when we were at WDW last month and will likely make it a regular stop on our visits to Florida. If you love AKV, I HIGHLY recommend this safari activity. You can actually feed the animals and get up close to them!

We did this at the end of January and love it! You need a car to get to Dade City. This was a lot of fun though and I highly recommend it.

I loved feeding the giraffes and the lemurs. The lemurs were my favorite of all.

You're welcome! There are all kinds of critters including zebras, camels, giraffes, red river hogs, pygmy hippos, monkeys, lemurs, guinea pigs, chickens, wart hogs, etc. It is normally $59 for the safari but we got it for $29 with groupon. I would pay the $59 though.

There is another park owned by the same couple that is supposed to be opening for safari rides in early March. http://www.safariwilderness.com/ I think we may try that one on our March trip if we can.

Wonderful. I'm alwaysw looking for something different. My grandaughter is crazy about giraffe and wants to be a vet. This one be a fantastic trip/excursion for her.

You get really close to the giraffes as they come right up to the safari vehicle to get their treats (leaves from a branch.) Feeding of the giraffes was included in the safari fee. Feeding the lemurs was actually $20 extra. I was the only one who wanted to do that so I had them all to myself.
