I learned that there is a life-size gingerbread display of a ferris wheel. Does anyone know where this is going to be?<p> The lifesize gingerbread carousel will be at The Beach Club...not to be missed I'm sure. I think there is a gingerbread "House" also...not sure where...maybe GF. Any positive information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The full sized gingerbread house is at GF and they sell other smaller gingerbread items from it.

Last year they had a whole carnival made of chocolate in the lobby of the Boardwalk. I don't know if that is something they do every year or not but it was very cool! :)

We just returned from DW last week. On Friday, Nov. 14, we had breakfast at 1900 Park Faire at the GF. They were in the process of building the gingerbread house while we were there. It was really quite an impressive sight--there were tons of gingerbread pieces, workers, and the largest bags of icing I have ever seen. They even had a mini crane in the lobby of the GF to help with the building process! The smell from all the gingerbread was wonderful! Definitely made me want to eat a piece!:)

I wish I could have seen the finished product. I guess I will have to back next year, a little later in November!;)

There was some big Christmas display in the counter serve resturaunt in the American pavillion in Epcot. I think it was a gingerbread house. Anyone know for sure?

Yes. Last year we saw the gingerbread house in the American pavillion in Epcot.

I almost forgot about the one in American Pavillion! I even took a pic of it too! They were selling hot chocolate out of it. :)

Wow, thanks for the information! I love everything gingerbread.
I'm bumping this up for others to see.

This gave me an idea of a game to play with my grandson. I will tell him that everytime one of us sees a gingerbread person or gingerbread house, we will say "GINGERBREAD!"... that might keep him occupied while walking from one place to another. I'll see how long we can do this before it gets (or we get) obnoxious. ;)

thanks in advance

Can anyone tell me how long the gingerbread displays will remain up? I am going to WDW Jan 9 & would love to see these - they sound so yummy.

Thanks,
Colette

Wow! You've never had gingerbread!? :)
It's typically in the form of a cookie - a Gingerbread man...or made in sheets and formed into a small house.

It's spiced - think cinnamon, clove, nutmeg...and the sweet icing on top makes it a perfect balance.

You'll have to get a cookie to munch on in a few days when you arrive! :)

I was fortunate last year to see the Gingerbread Houses at the Grand Floridian and the American Pavilion at Epcot last year. Here are pics of both, the GF first. Hoping to see the ones at the Contemporary and Boardwalk this year.
