This was the first time we drove to Disney World. My wife finial was able to buy a Ginger Bread House from the Ginger Bread House store at the Grand Floridian. I thought she was going to keep it in her lap for the 1,100 mile trip home. I convinced her if the air bag deployed it would get crushed. Well she just asked me to to ask you guys "What can we do to preserve it for next year?" Oh yeah we have a very small freezer.

I think you should make reservations for next year now, show your wife, promise to purchase a new one, then go to town and enjoy... Or you could use Bing like suggested above!;):lmao:

I wouldn't freeze it - the condensation when defrosting would probably destroy it. Her best bet is to leave it unopened and carefully packed away in a cool room free from any humidity/damp air.

To really 'save' gingerbread, it has to be made from a different recipe than the edible stuff at the GF.

I think we'll use Bing. I can't believe how quick and knowledgeable the Boards are. Thanks for the info. I voted for eating it but she gave it a Veto.
As for next year we would love to do Food & Wine, off season less crowds and great food. My wife is job hunting right now so vacation plans are on hold. She's been out of work for almost 2 years. Her company shipped the company overseas and she qualified for re-training. She just received her Associates in Business Management. Now she has to look for work and not many places these day give you vacation time your first year. I don't want her to still be looking in October but if she is we'll be at Food & Wine.
