Hey everyone. I just happened upon the Disboards while I was researching for a trip that I'm planning for my bf (DH in 4 more days!) and I for this September. Looking over the board, I found this forum. I have recently started a journey toward a healthier life. There is so much heart disease and diabetes in my family history that staying in the same shape I am now will definitely lead to an early grave. I started on April 30 at 220. I'm now on May 7, 2007 216.4. So 3.6. Not bad for the first week. One thing I've learned from my previous failed attempts is that the more support you have the better - that's why I'm starting this thread. I've read through many posts here and everyone is so understanding and supportive. It's refreshing to know that others struggle the same as me and have the same set backs and I hope the same triumphs. We can all do this. It just takes planning, determination, and some really good friends. I look forward to getting to know all of you better and to watch as we all shed the weight that we want to get rid of.
