Day 4
Up at 6am after a good nights sleep. Decided to take the car to MK today. I’d forgotten what a long way it is from the car par, through the monorail station to MK. Anyway, we were there for park opening when all the characters come on the train and sing and dance – lovely. We went to Adventureland first and rose POTC, then Splash Mtn x2, BTMRR, Space Mtn, Buzz, IASW and Mickey’s Philharmagic all by 11am. It was QUIET, though Tomorrowland and fantasyland LOOKED busy. By now it was extremely hot so we left and went back to BCV.

I put a load of washing in and called DD1 for a chat. The maid had been in for a full clean and obviously appreciated the tip as she left loads of soaps, shampoos and towels – far more than we should have had.

The weather so far has been perfect, clear blue skies, very hot during the day but really pleasant early morning and evening. Humidity is considerably less than during summer visits.

We went back to Mk around 17.30 and hopped over to GF for dinner at GF Café. It was very good and not my idea of a café at all. We were far too full for dessert but the server insisted we take dessert to go! We only made this reservation at 5pm – the BC Concierge people have been great making us lots of ADR’s. We went back to MK and found a spot for Spectromagic
• DS and his GF had been in August and missed this so I wanted to video it for them.
As usual this was wonderful and as soon as the music starts it brings tears to my eyes. Afterwards we found a bench to sit and watch Wishes – what can I say about this – it has to be seen and heard to be believed – truly amazing and I promised myself we’d go again!

We got back to BCV by around 10pm and went to Martha’s Vineyard for a nightcap – only two others in there – before bed.

Day 5

We woke at 06.30 as usual and the plan was to go to MGM, but staying in bed seemed a much better option so we did – until 08.00. After breakfast, we sat by the pool and then Tony went to the gym. It was lovely having the pool completely to myself for half an hour until a family with four noisy children arrived and shattered the peace! We then drove to Celebration – in all our visits we’ve never visited there. Oh my goodness – Stepford springs to mind! It was so unreal it made me quite wary of being brainwashed into a Stepford Wife.

We had a Ploughman’s lunch at Sherlock’s which I remember from the TV programme and then drove to the Premium Outlets which being Sunday was SO busy we left straight away and went back to spend another couple of hours by the pool – much quieter this time.

We had dinner reservations at Jiko’s. This was truly amazing – the décor, the service and quality of the food were all first class. In fact, on reflection, we think this was probably the best meal we had the entire holiday – far and away better than the California Grill. The Animal Kingdom looked very nice and Tony is keen to stay there some time. A drink at Martha’s Vineyard and a long chat to the barman before bed.

Thanks for another trippie Gill, yet another great couple of days :)

Exactly as I felt! Although the Hospital was very good to me.
