Gifts to leave in room for kids

My friend is going to WDW at the end of May and wants to leave gifts from "Tinkerbell" each day for her 2 kids under the age of 7, one boy one girl. Any suggestions?

I would hit Dollar Tree for glow necklaces/wands/etc., Disney branded crayons, or Disney toys. If she doesn't want the gifts to be that little, she could add some things to use in the park that she would have bought anyway - trading pins, lanyards, ponchos, etc.

For your girl, I know someone who bought a princess costume and surprised her the first day with the wand, the second with the tiara, the third with a necklace, the fourth with princess shoes, and on the final day they surprised her with the dress and then a trip to Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. Maybe you could do the same thing with pirates for your boy? I thought it was a cute idea!

I love this question! Autograph books (they have Disney themed ones at Dollar Tree), Disney coloring kits and markers for the plane ride home (also at Dollar Tree), Mickey/Minnie t-shirts (great deals at Disney outlets, Walmart), Mickey/Minnie Ears, themed towels and bathing suit for pool days, anything that glows for nighttime shows (agree with PP to get them at dollar stores), little trinkets from Disney outlets (we got our boys Buzz Lightyear fans for our DHS day, but they have tons of inexpensive things). Check out Dollar Tree, Walmart, Target's dollar bin and Disney outlets.

We put the gifts in a bag each night along with a note from Tinkerbell for the boys to find each morning. The notes from Tink told the boys what we were doing that day. It was so much fun!

I bought a couple Disney outfits from Kohls, target had some Disney princess dollar stuff (wallets - which I put a disney GC into, headbands etc), I bought a tiara and dress on eBay (super cheap but really nice)! eBay also had light up toys for cheap (so I wouldn't have to buy in the park). I also got new bathing suits cheap. It's a bit addicting to buy little things cheap that will make the trip even more magical for little ones!!

I think it is just that tinkerbell is a tiny magical fairy who sprinkles pixie dust so it makes sense that she would sneak in to your room in the middle of the night and be the magic gift-giver. But it could be anyone!

Other ideas... A cooling fan, socks, underwear, toothbrushes, EPCOT passport, book, and those new tsum tsum disney plush animals.

"Mickey" always leaves a gift bag with a few items for each of our kids on the day we arrive -- it usually appears while we're at the pool or out for dinner (and I "forget" something and have to run back to the room while DH and the kids continue walking towards the pool or bus stops). Some of the things that he's put in the gift bags over the years are (all Disney themed): T-shirts, pajamas, sunglasses, flip flops, hats, vinylmation figurines, character figurine sets, pens, tablets/notebooks, socks, inexpensive jewelry, stuffed animals, and snacks. I'm sure there have been other things, but those are the ones I can think of. We just do one gift bag per kid per trip...it's a little easier on "Mickey" than leaving a gift every night. I will say that we did this on what we thought was going to be our "once in a lifetime" trip for the kids. That was 5 trips ago and "Mickey" is getting a little frazzled at finding new gifts for each of the kids (we travel with 3, 4, or 5 kids on each trip) for each trip. Our youngest is now 10, so I think the upcoming trip is the last time "Mickey" will be leaving gift bags. Had I known we'd be heading to Disney every few years, "Mickey" either would not have left a gift bag on that first trip or he would only leave 1 item per kid each trip. I will say that the kids -- regardless of their age -- love getting these gift bags so I don't have the heart to stop doing them....yet.

I will be leaving tinkerbell gifts for my kids in September. It will be the first time my kids have ever been to disney. I have 2 girls 9,7 and 1 boy age 5. I've found small gifts at the dollar store, target, jcpenney, and walmart. I got disney lanyards (dollar store) and disney pins for trading, princess crowns (jcpenney), bubbles, glow sticks, flashlight pens, sunglasses, hair accessories. Lots more. I found a lot of disney stuff on clearance at walmart and target after Easter on clearance for 50% and 75% off.

When we took our three oldest sons 11 years ago we had a surprise for them every morning usually something that had to do with what we were doing that day. They got t-shirts, stuffed animals, light up toys, a disposable camera and small disney toys from dollar store. They were 6,7 and 10. This became a tradition whenever we went on a vacation any where they would have a surprise waiting for them. We are going to WDW this year with the youngest of those three sons who is 17 and our youngest son who is 12 and is his first trip to WDW. When we started planning our trip one of the 12 year olds first questions was will we get a surprise every morning. I looked at the 17 year old and said you are too old for that right and he said no I want them too. They are getting a book, and mostly t-shirts and stuffed animals. It isn't easy finding dollar stuff for the 17 year old.

On our last trip we brought 9 kids in all. The baby was 3 but the rest ranged in age from 10-24 (yes, I know the 24yo is not a "baby" but he's MY "baby). Every day, depending on what the itinerary was they got something specific for the park. On arrival day, everybody got a personalized tumbler mug (think Tervis but with their name on it) so that we could keep track of cups in the villas. They also got an M&M container filled with 2 quarters and new pennies. We had a game throughout the week that whoever ended up with the best collection of 15 (or more) or a complete set of one series of pressed pennies would win a prize. It was a $20 Disney gift card. They got personalized beach towels, a travel size sun screen and personalized dry bags for Blizzard Beach day. They each also received a draw string bag with their initials. Everybody had their own color. They each got a smash book and sharpies for autographs on MK day. The last night we rented the Grand Yacht and everyone got an invitation for the last surprise. They had to be at the villa or in the lobby of the Grand Floridian at a specified time. Nobody knew the surprise. We had it catered with sandwiches, drinks, chips and a cake.
I need to find pictures of the cups and bags. I can only find the towels right now.
It was a lot of fun and I made sure that everything was either useful or fun.

We do the same thing...every night, a different character sneaks into our room and leaves the kids (now 10 & almost 6) a different gift and a personalized dinner invitation. We've done character flip flops, hooded beach towels, trading pins, character pajamas, glow wands, Disney gift cards, books, character plushes...I can't remember the rest! This will be their 6th visit and they are addicted!
