I have read that gift can be sent to the stateroom ahead of time for the kids (or us!) How and where do I do that for my cruise in March? Thanks.

You can either use the Magical Treasures guide in your cruise documentation, or you can use The Perfect Gift (which I HIGHLY recommend for great personal service). The website is http://www.perfectgift.cc (.cc not .com)

I'll second the motion for The Perfect Gift! We gave her only 1 day notice, and got the mickey mouse backpacks for the kids....they love them! They were filled with snacks and juices, which came in handy with that little fridge in your room.

We ordered through Magical Treasures and were charged on the credit card on file for the trip. We ordered the Minnie beanie, which ended up being much larger than a "beanie" - a generous sized Minnie, decked out in Cruise/sailor dress! It was waiting on the bed when we arrived in our cabin. We were very pleased.

Next time I will try The Perfect Gift and see what Shirley can do for us. (alas, we hadn't heard of her until AFTER we placed our other order!):earsgirl:

Another vote for The Perfect Gift! We are sailing on Sunday and I have been in contact with Joann and she has been absolutely wonderful. They are very accommodating. I ordered the mickey beach pail filled with drinks and snacks. In addition to that, I snail mailed her a few additional goodies for my daughter--no problem.

Go for The PERFECT GIFT.....I highly recommend it...Shirley and the
gals are the best!!!!

I just got my pics back today of my dd and her "birthday box"
of goodies Shirley made for her.

However...now she is going to expect one every cruise!!!!

Hello Cheryl,
First I would like to sincerely thank everyone for their appreciation on our gift packages - First and foremost we really enjoy putting these creations together - We want to make each unique and not in a "assembly type" fashion. Each gift is done with the family in mind and special request that are asked of us. We mainly also want each family to know that if there ever was a problem or questions that we can help while here on vacation, we are only a phone call away. Most of all I have truly enjoyed each family I have ever met regardless if it was by phone or meeting face to face. This is my most favorite part.
Anyhow regardless when you go on your cruise, have a wonderful safe trip while away from home.
Always,
Shirley

We have done both Magical Treasures and the Perfect Gift. I highly recommend both.

Magical Treasures is a great way to get those DCL Cruise Only gifts sent to your room. Matthew still sleeps with his Capt Mickey.

The Perfect Gift is wonderful at that specially designed gift. For that "Something out of the ordinary." Matthew is a big fan of Cream Soda. Well Shirley had no problem customizing Matt's gift to include his favorite drink.

cheryl - when in march are you cruising? me, my dh, and 2 dd's are cruising on the magic on the 16th.

tnrobin- are you back? i am so jealous as i am counting down the days to our first cruise! i loved reading about your trip while you were on the ship:D

i am just so thankful i found this board before we left!

Shirley...

Pics of Natalie coming your way...hopefully...tomorrow.

Everyone..

I too have ordered both Magical Treasurers and from Shirley....
as Robin I think said she did also....Natalie loves her Mickey and Minnie cruise dolls, still sleeps on her Magic/Wonder pillowcase each night and..is still playing with the "horse" Shirley put in her "cruise box" 2 weeks ago and she has her hot chocolate in her ballet mug.

But with Shirley...she can personalize for you..as she did with
Natalie and most of the people who post on these boards.

We are doing the 3 day (the one we received with our January cruise) in September...and its MY birthday.....boy Shirley...do you
have a BIG job to fill a "cruise box" for me......lol

Phyllis

Hello Phylis - I have been wanting to call you to see how Natalie enjoyed her horse - I had picked out several of them, but liked the one I sent - My girls loved horses when they were much younger (well still do) and they started a horse statue collection which they still have today among their most treasured "stuff" from childhood - I knew that was the one to send her was IT - I had a lot of fun remembering good memories and hoped that Natalie would enjoy it as well - Will give you a call in the next week to chat with you about your time on the cruise and just check up on you and yours - the weather is awesome here and tomorrow cruisers will find temp in the 80's - guess winter is over here in Florida - well for a while anyhow. Take care - stay safe and keep the memories.
Always
Shirley

Hi there,
I have a question please.
I would like to send a gift basket or something very unique to our stateroom on the Wonder in June.
It is our "25th" wedding anniversary, and our daughters graduation from High School that we are celebrating on this cruise. (Our very first one).
I checked out the Perfect Gift site, and I didn't really see anything there i thought i would like. When i went to Magical Treasures, i couldn't find the site.
Do you have a web site that i might find it? Thank you very much. We are looking forward to this cruise, and thought our daughter would be delighted to arrive in the room, and find something there waiting.
:)

We haven't tried the Perfect Gift yet, but we will for the next cruise.

We ordered the romance package from Disney for our 25th anniv, and were really, really disappointed. The fruit was a saaran wrapped soup bowl of grapes, the cheese was like 4 or five really small wheels (1.5 in), all the same, the box of chocolates was like 4" SQ, and everything was thrown loose (even the two champagne glasses) in three boxes tied together with a silk rose. The "bottle" of champagne was a small split, we had to make our own "priority reservations at Palos" and stand in line to make the reservations for the upper body massages that were included, and then get on the phone at least three times because the package was mislabled, and no one was sure about the massages that were supposed to be included. Not a bargain at $170!!!!

I have NEVER read a bad review about Shirley at the Perfect Gift and when we go this fall for My parents 50th, she's going to get my business!!!!! If you didn't see what you wanted on the webpage, just call her. From what I've read, she'll customize anything your heart desires!!!!

anny...

I agree with SWINK.....call Shirley and she'll customize anything you want.

She just did that for dd's 9th bd. Horses and ballet are dd's "thing"..so there was
a horse thing and a ballet thing in her basket, as well as Beanie's. She loves Dr. Pepper...and there they were...a 6 pack of DP...

Just give her a call...it does make opening that door for the first time even more
special knowing there is something very special waiting on the other side!!

Another vote for calling Shirley- She did two baskets for us for the 1/19 cruise and by DD and DH were sooo surprised! She will customize the basket just for you. We met her the night before the cruise at the Radisson and she is as nice in person as she is on the phone.

You will not regret placing an order from her!

Thanks to everyone for recommending "The Perfect Gift".
I called today, and spoke to Joann, (extremely nice), and so helpful. Even though our cruise isn't till June....
If anyone has any ideas as to what to put in the gift basket that i am sending to the room for our daughters graduation, and a little something for the hubby and I, since its our 25th anniversary, I would love the suggestions...Thanks again for everyones help!
This board is the greatest for information!!!:D
