Gifts in Room

Has anyone had the staff of a resort (we are going to be at WL) help out with gifts in your room or birthday decorations...if you aren't concierge?

I have gotten some great information, but everyone who has done such...has had the consierge staff helping.

I would appreciate any tips

I would get in touch with Gifts of a Lifetime. As a general rule the WDW resorts do not arrange for room decorations or gifts in the room, unless as you mentioned the guest is a concierge guest.

Of course there's the rare time when it does happen, but I've heard far more people disappointed because nothing special happened for their event than those excited because of something special being taken care of by the resort.

By hiring the services of an outside vendor like Gifts of a Lifetime you can be assured that you will get exactly what you want.

We just got back from our trip - we stayed at the All Star Movies! As a surprise for my DD, I had ordered a basket from the Disney Florist. I "custom made" my basket - I asked if they would substitute some things for things I knew Allison would like.

The basket was absolutely adorable - Allison loved it!!! I had it signed from "Mickey and the Gang" and she was thrilled that Mickey knew she was there!

The basket was waiting for us in the room when we returned from dinner!

I have had them delivered before and they are really cute, but expensive. This trip we are driving so I made my own up for each of my kids and will leave them in the room as a surprise for when we return from the park. Way less expensive, but more trouble to bring along.
