Gifts from WDW for around $5 each?

Our neighbors have 5 kids and I couldn't afford to get them each a good gift. We got them Mickey Mouse crazy straws from the food court at POFQ for 49 cents each.

The gift shops have a charm bracelet kiosk (as PaulaSue mentioned) They have a HUGE selection of charms for $3 each. They are little but neat.

If you like the idea of bringing back food items, go to la Pattiserie (I think that's what it's called) in France at Epcot and get a baker's box full of chocolate croissants and pastries. They are SO good.

If you have lots of gifts to buy, it would probably be worth your while to go to a character outlet- you get so much more for your $$$ there.
GOOD LUCK!

I have two favorite things to bring back. The first is pens. You can get a gift set of either 5 or 6 pens for about $10.00 or $12.00. They are the fat pens and each pen has a difference character on it. I brought this back last time and gave them to all the girls in my office - this would be ok for guys too - just don't give them Minnie Mouse. The other thing I love are the small tins of mints. I keep these in my bag all the time and when I am finished with the mints - I refill them. The tins would also be great to keep small things in your bag (sewing stuff - bandaids - paper clips - pins). You can get all this stuff at the World of Disney store. Food stuff is great but I like being able to keep something and not use it up.

We just got back and my kids were trying to find small things to take back to school friends. We found:

1) sour candy tins (with various characters) for $1.25
2) English shortbread cookies (thick biscuit cookies) in a 2-pack at the UK in Epcot for $1.00
3) pins with names for less than $1.00 at the Disney outlets stores (I found 1 with my name from the Animal Kingdom)
4) the frozen lemon drinks in the Animal Kingdom come with a straw/spoon combination with Pluto in a safari outfit hanging on it - we got several of the drinks and the straw would make good gifts
5) we grabbed maps of the parks in various languages to bring back as "gifts" for language teachers at the kids' schools - free
6) my son found a set of fuzzy dice at the Test Track store for $3.00 and brought a set back as a gift for a friend
7) I love the antannae balls - they seem to have different ones at EVERY store
8) pressed penny machines are everywhere with different designs - $0.51
9) if you stay on the property, you can bring back Disney/Mickey soaps and shampoos - free
10) we found little bags of Mickey pretzels for $0.79 at several of the shops at the exits of the rides
11) I found little wind-up Mickey and Minnie clocks for about $5.00 at the shop near Pizza Planet. They are little plastic clocks with feet you can wind up and they walk a short distance
12) I found metal Mickey cookie cutters for $5.00 each but I brought home a set of two Mickey Mouse Egg Rings for $5.00 I found at the WDW At Home store in Downtown Disney Marketplace. The egg rings are a bit smaller than the cookie cutters but they look just like cookie cutters and I got 2 instead of 1!

If you look everywhere you go, with an eye for "little gifts", you will find goodies jumping out at you! :teeth:

The pasta in Disney character shapes is fun!

I would not recommend the tins of WDW cocoa, iced tea powders or powdered lemonade. They were all gross. I really would have expected higher quality products!

I bought several of the 6 oz. tins of coffee for $2.99 each at the Character Premier (i.e., Disney) Outlet store -- I didn't see the 6 oz. size anywhere in the Parks - and I looked at every one. They are flavored - Hazelnut Truffle, Vanilla Caramel, etc.

We went to the Outlet stores off I-4 at Exit 68 (they weren't Belz, can't remember the name). They are located behind the Dixie Stampede -- great selection, and everything is at least 50% off.

I REALLY wanted Disney PJ's, but they were $39 at the parks - I got some there for less than $20!!

They have some really cute tin Mickey Mouse ear shaped Christmas tree ornaments at the Downtown Disney Christmas store for $6.50 each!

Fun pens
Antenna toppers
Magnets
Plastic figurines
pasta
candy

Check the area around the counters in the Emporium in MK. There's always cheap stuff there.

At Epcot, in the China Pavillion, you can get the hand fans ($5.00)and they will personalize them with any name you wish in Chinese Lettering(they use a black sharpie).

There were many varieties of fans and I was able to pick up cheap gifts for my DD's friends.

I believe the umbrellas are $12.00 and can also be personalized in Chinese Lettering

I think they also have something similar in the Japan Pavillion.

we like to pick out beanies--you can find special ones all over the lands; we're big on the Tower of Terror Goofy
