We're heading to WDW in early December and I want to pick up some little gifts for a few of our friends, the babysitter, office secretary, etc. I'm looking for things that will run me about $5 each. Any fun sugggestions?

hmmmm... pins are about $6.50... a little higher than you wanted... maybe some candy? for "group" gifts, a bag of mickey pretzels is fun... or wait 'til you get back and give pics of you/child/character? pens make nice office gifts...

sorry, i'm wracking my brain thinking of all the great stuff we saw in all the many gift shops, but nothing is jumping out at me... i'm sure someone else has some better ideas...

I bought my neighbors a key chain that had mickey on it and said "#1 Neighbors" they loved it!!! They have keychains for just about everyone. Their cheap and easy to transport back home!

The Mickey pretzels are great and not that expensive either. We've purchased keychains, antenna toppers, Mickey Pasta, Mickey coffee tins (comes in a multi-pack gift set and we separated them into individual gifts), and magnets to name a few.

antenna toppers are $4 each.
most magnets are under $5
the disney outlet at Belz right now has these acrylic mickey head bud vases for $1.99
a can of WDW coffee is $2.99
mickey head rice krispies treats with the ears covered in chocolate is $2.50
mickey head egg ring $5

I bought a pack of post-it type notes at the Emporium in MK. I think there were 4 in the pack, each a different character on a different color. I want to say it was about $8 then. I split them out to the girls in my office - about $2 per person.

My dh is the manager of a small office. One year he brought his employees pens that curve around so there is a character head at the end -- tried to match up characters with office personalities. I think they're $3. Another year he got a selection of goofy things (like walking mouse ears) at Belz.

I like to buy the plastic mugs that are sold at the fast food restaurants and carts in the parks. They usually cost around $3-4 and can be bought with or without soda. At different times of the year you can find specific themed mugs such as Christmas, New Years, Spring Break and Summer. One year I actually found a Valentine's Day mug. Sometimes in EPCOT, you can find a mug shaped like Spaceship Earth. The mugs usually have the Fab Five characters but sometimes you will find others like Nemo or Monsters, INC.
The mugs come with a lid and are great gifts for both children and adults.

We bought plastic cups (tumblers) that had engraved Mickey Ears in the Plastic. They are great and if I remember they were about $6.00 each, we bought them at the Music Value Resort Store. We love them so much,,,,,,,my mom requested we buy her 6 when we go back in 16 Days (yipee, counting the days)

I bring food items back for people...neighbors who got our mail, friend who helped, etc.

At DTD, the World of Disney, they have all sorts of neat things....crackers, princess or mickey hot chocolate(3 pk for $10 - could break up and give small can) cookies, pretzels, etc. Oh and Mickey Pasta - too cute.

I buy some for ourselves and save them for a rainy, wishing we were at Disney, day.

keychains, magnets, pens are a great idea

I also bought a set of coasters for 5-6 bucks with a picture of the castle on them... great deal I thought!

In Epcot (in Germany) there's a glass kiosk that engraves names on all types of glass items (tumblers, coffee cups etc). They also have characters already on them and you just tell them what name you want. All different sizes and prices but I'm pretty sure there were several items under $10.

Seeing if this will work this time......

Not sure of the price but my girls loved the charms for their bracelt that the neighbors brought back for them. They are really cute with the design on the front and back. They go with the braclet (s) I got them from the Disney Store last year but then they only had the design on the front.

When we brought back small stuff, the favorites seemed to be the small tins of mints in character shapes. They are small little tins like Altoids and the mints are all differenct character shapes..both the tin and candy were really cute..

We bought antenna toppers, pens, memo pads, keychains and kitchen magnets(my favorite).

Thanks! I love all the great ideas. I especially think the edible stuff would be great - coffee, hot chocolate mix, pretzels, candy, pasta, etc. I love getting that kind of stuff from people. I'm not big on magnets, keychains, etc. unless I've actually been to the place myself, so I like it when people bring me tasty goodies!! Do you guys think the World of Disney is the best place, as far as selection goes, to look for that kind of thing?

I like the idea of splitting up the gift packs - makes more choices

I like to pick Mickey votive candles. I think they are about $2.00.
I brought some back from our last trip and everyone loved them.::MickeyMo

Check it out because the Peanut Brittle is cheaper at some places then others. Carribbean Beach had a decent price. I think it was around $4.00.
