gifts for referring people?

Hi

When you refer people and they actually buy doesnt the referring party get a gift? I thought I saw what these were in writing at one time but now I cant find that info........ does anyone know? or does it change all the time?

yes, we just recieved our choice of $200 disney dollars for a referal.
The rewards step up with more referals per year. You usually get a choice between disney dollars ($200 for 1 referal)
You have a choice of applying $200. off your annual dues, there are others but I am not sure of them. I am sure the DVC website has full details of their program.

Certain states permit referral bonuses, others do not. As you live in NJ, bonuses are permitted by state law (I've gotten one).

The referral must be the FIRST referral the individual has ever had to DVC (So, if they went and looked at it a few years ago and you now suggest they go back, you would not get the bonus). When they go, the person you refer must give your name to the guide (preferrably, you should have them ask for the same guide you used). You only get the bonus if the person actually purchases points.

The bonuses, last I knew, where as follows:

$250 for first referral
$350 for second referral in the same year
$500 for third referral in the same year

....

The $$$ can be used in a few different ways:

- Disney dollars;
- donated to one of several charities;
- use toward the purchase of additional points.

We live in Pennsylvania and do not get anything if we refer people to DVC.....I've referred several people who have bought at DVC and our state doesn't allow us to get anything!!

Ohio has changed there policy 3 times in the last 5 years. Ohio now does allow referrals.(thanks Shannon

You can not get any gifts if you live in Connecticut and I am sure some other states too.

Here is the list of states that allow referrals...........
