I've got a little gift for my planner and photographer, but my question to those who have done this before - when do you give them the gifts? At the beginning of the day? At the end? Do you send them to them later??

I got a little something for my planner and his assistance and I had it shipped when I returned from my honeymoon. I did not want to worry about it on my wedding day. Hope this helps.

We tIpped our MK photographers (even though they tried yo refuse) and plan to do everything else by mail now that we are back home.

Does anyone have an address that would get a gift directly to, say, Franck's?

I mailed my planner a bottle of Angel & Demons by Givenchy. she smelled it on my mom on the wedding day and asked what it was so I bought her a bottle.

I sent it to the address that contracts and stuff like that gets mailed to. Planners aren't really at Franck's, they're there for planning sessions but they are normally at the DFTWs offices. I think they're in Celebration. I just attentioned the package to my planner.

I mailed my planner a gc to Sephora with a thank-you note after we got home from our trip. With the Memories Collection, the planner that helps you leading up to the day is not always the person there on the day-of so I didn't bring a gift with me figuring I might not actually even see her (which turned out to be the case).

We tipped the violinist and our photog the day of (at the end of the event).

How did you know how much to tip the photographer and violinist if their services are included in the fee paid to disney?

And what are some other gifts you got your photographer and wedding planner?

I sent my planner a Visa GC and thank you note in the mail after the wedding.

I think we gave our planner her gift after the ceremony.

I got her "English" type things.

I tipped our photographer as he was leaving.

I wish I would have tipped my violinist. He was incredible! Not only did he learn Lucky, by Jason Mraz for our first dance. He surprised us by learning Make It Mine as well. He did more than we expected considering we had an Escape wedding. Does anyone know if there is a way to tip the musicians after the fact?

me too! any advice?
It really depends on the service and the total price you've paid for the service IMO. I don't think there is any real formula but if I had to guess I'd say 5-10% of the total price is a good starting point. I don't think a tip is expected since you pay a fair price for the service (it isn't like servers who work mainly on tips and make $3/hr) but I'm sure it is really appreciated. I've always heard that people like gift cards/cash tips best so that is what I usually do.
