Gifts for my students...Part 2

First of all, thanks to everyone for the wonderful ideas! I wound up buying each student a Mickey sucker. They were sold in packs of 5 for $3.95. I have 27 students, so this wound up costing under $1.00 per student. I told my class that I went to Disney and Mickey Mouse said he heard I had the best 1st grade class in the world! He gave me the suckers to give to my wonderful 1st graders. They loved them- especially because I let them eat the suckers in class. I know there are a lot of teachers on this board and I just wanted to update on my decision and let you all know that I appreciate your input and ideas. Thanks again!

The kids are lucky to have such a thoughtful teacher! Glad you had a great trip. I noticed you stayed at Caribbean Beach. We are staying there in April for the first time. What were your thoughts on the resort and what location did you have?

Splashmom....we LOVED Caribbean Beach. It was our first time staying there and my DH and I were in heaven! DH said we are going moderate or higher from now on! Woo-hoo! We had the perfect location...Trinidad North, Building 31. Our room # was 3133...we had a view of Illuminations. We had a corner room, so we had 2 big windows. We are so glad we stayed at CB. It is a beautiful resort and the transportation wasn't bad at all.

Hi! Glad to here you had a great time. I looked the last time we went and could not find anything reasonably priced to get my students. This year I made sticky labels with all of there addresses before we left along with a message from me on another sticker. I bought them each a postcard the night we got there and mailed them the next morning. Not having to actually write on them saved lots of time. The kids helped. In all we mailed 31 post cards to family and friends. My kids (students) were thrilled!!
