Gifts for Characters...

Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but...

My DD6 has been drawing pictures for some of the princesses and Mickey. She would like to give the pictures as gifts when she sees them in the parks. Will she be "allowed" to do this? Or do I need to talk to her and prepare her?

I think at the character meals it would go better because they would have somewhere to put them. As far as in the parks-they might not be able to because they have to keep their hands free for hugging and such and the attendant has to be able to gaurd the character and take pics. Maybe tell her you will take them to guest relations?

Aww that is so sweet! I would think that maybe the handlers can take them but I have no idea. I would check into it, that would be a great memory for her

My DS did this for the characters at Crystal Palace. He drew his rendition of them and game them the picture when they came around to our table. They all gave him hugs and signs of thanks. The only problem was they really do not have anywhere to put them either. I felt bad having them get these drawings and seeing them try to find a place to hold it. It may be different with the princesses because their hands are free while the characters do not have real hands to hold on to things. I think I should have had DS SHOW them the pictures and then have DS give the pictures to the CM who follows them and ask him/her to give the pictures to the characters.

I would explain to your DD that she can show them the pictures & maybe you can take a picture of the character holding up the picture. But then she'll have to keep it.

I like the idea of getting them signed by the characters.

If she really wants to GIVE them to them, maybe have her show the pictures to them and tell her they are busy right now but you can leave them (on the table, at xxx, ...) for them to pick up later.
